I live on Fort Street, about a block away from Portage and Main where all this went down... it's pretty cool living in a place that is so historic, and so many of those old buildings are amazingly still around and well-preserved in our Exchange District. Power to the people! Lol

Since when is Crescentwood south of the Arlington Bridge? It's way across the city, south of the Assiniboine River. The area south of the Arlington Bridge is either downtown or the West End.

Not really a political history of a nation to find much pride in those elected to serve us. I suspect this is why most Canadian's do not have blind trust in governments and politicians in general. I have read that our politicians have the shortest average tenure of all governments in the free world and history such as this gives explanation and understanding.
    • The lesson is to either work for us or be gone. And that is how it should and must be in a true Democracy.
    • We do have a better welfare sense of state because of history such as this. Harper, for example, failed miserably in his drive to Americanise the politics and civil culture of our nation, to take away the care for the poor and average Canadian, and he certainly did not win a place in the Canadian heart. And that is why he shall never stand amidst the likes of greater leaders.

Unfortunately, despite all the cruelty, injustice and violence, the human race never changes!
Stories such as this will continue until the Earth's population self-destructs!
