+Wrel Hi wrel! If possible to include, there's a way to get up a full base in seconds (few mins) if you have atleast about half a squad. You probably know this but here's in written out of interest. =D 1- Drive around in your safe territory with an ANT to farm cortium. 2- From that ANT, designate each member to buy specific structures that you need to build a base. (1guy gets silo, another gets sunderer garage, etc) 3- The structure will remain in your slot even if you die and can even redeploy or swap classes. 4- Grab a galaxy or valk (valk to be less suspicious), gather the troops (engi and infil) and fly to a suitable spot to build the base. Drop 1 or 2 infiltrator to an enemy vehicle terminal to hack and spawn sundy/ANT. Drop the rest to the location. 5- Leave a beacon at the hacked terminal to bring a new vehicle if needed. 6- Place the Sunderer Garage first in the middle of the area and have your shield dome (place this if really necessary or you will be easily seen) and modules in there for extra protection. (Apparently you can also squeeze the hive in there but no success from me yet.) 7- Build the rest of the base and farm up well on cortium by the time the hive goes active, else enemies will starve the base (tanks and air denying ant farm). 8- #expectzergs 9- RIP 10- Profit 11- ??? If this preparation is executed well, your team will have a base up really fast. Surprising enemies and uncoordinated zergs. Tip: Have a few rep sundies in the base. Ask for backup if many decide to go after the base, sometimes having lots of randoms spawning at the base can turn the tides. Equip RANGER (yes ranger to blind daltoners and ESF and can actually be lethal. But the role of the ANT is to farm cortium, not go after them, so it's a good deterrent). Basilisk works great too. Lock your ANT (Page Down) so randoms do not abuse the precious farm you have done by using up your cortium. Be awesome and stay awesome as always Wrel! =D

As note, the mineral radar has been turned into a passive thing, so the utility slot is free for use on other things. I personally like the cordium boost utility, because it lets you drive straight up vertical cliff faces so long as you have cordium. Burns cordium fast, but if you're being chased by enemy armor, it's a great way to escape them.
Another fun thing of cordium boost is that you can ram-kill harassers from any side if done right, damage sundies and MBTs from head on, and sometimes kill lightnings with a head on. ....Speaking of ANTs vs. Lightnings, get a lightning between two ants and just have them keep pushing against the lightning. It's amazing~
+Redolent Thanks man! Luckily Wrel's will go live soon. And I imagine it will come with Wrel level polish. Hopefully they post that one on the launcher. But just with my outfit running, even all the vets were lost as hell. So I wanted to rush something out for those that were chomping at the bit.
Your Hive will become active if you've placed it within a territory already controlled by your faction. It only requires an additional allied presence if building it within an enemy Hex. Also, the Shields on the Sunderer Garages as well as Vehicle Gates do not block small arms fire, only larger rounds from vehicles so a good thing to do if your garage or gate opens up to your entire base is place one of the smaller Blast Shield Walls in front of your base entrance, blocking line of sight.
I only have 500 certs currently and haven't even looked at anything about base building other than the insane cert costs and yet I'm still watching this for some reason
3:11 I'm just wondering...the AI module doesn't work for the AV turret?... Anyway, great video, as Wrel said, you have a very calm voice, which makes this tutorial even better, and the soundtrack....perfect.
+Arklur Hey Ark. As I understand it, it is now possible to power the AV Spear turrets with the AI module as well. At the time I made this, it was not possible. I will have to run a test in game, and then add a note onto the video if that works now. So, YES. You should put an AI module near your AV Spear turrets now as far as I know.

I just pulled up the game on my ps4 for the first time in almost 2 years. For some reason, the capture bases are all "offline" and i cant take them. And my Ant is locked. (Im lvl 75 VS) What's going on.

That thing is called the Glaive IPC. Its an auto-firing weapon that is guided by laser designation. Used to take down skyshield emits that protect bases primarily. So it is an offensive construction weapon.
+Silver Blown The will use the release on the PC server as a sort of open Beta. They will spend a few months fixing bugs, working on the balance of the system, and then you could expect to see them working on moving it to PS4. So the bummer for you guys is you have it wait awhile for it. The good news is by the time it makes it to you, it should be pretty well tested.
might also want to mention that you need 10k cert laying around to do this. I just tried this out and to my dismay I could only build walls, couldnt even build a hive. Wasted 30 minutes and will probably never touch this again.
This is a progression based game, just assumed people understand you can't do things in the first 10 minutes of playing the game. you can unlock everything immediately via buying the construction bundle.
I understand that but construction is essentially useless with what is given to you to start out with. In any other regard stock is at least questionably useful.
You can just drive around randomly, and you should bump into some. That being said the better way is to make sure you get that mineral radar installed in your utility slot on your ANT. When that is installed locations of Cortium will be displayed on your main HUD and your minimap. Makes it significantly easier to find the mineral.
+Terry Roraus Certs are a struggle. I am sure people have suggested engineer and medic to you. Park sunderer's in good places. Don't spend certs on weapons, just on upgrades. And if you can afford it, pop for a membership. That will really speed cert gain up. You get 48 certs a day just for logging in, constant 50% bonus, and a 2X experience weekend every month, where you get tons of certs.
I've never really been one for memberships and such, simply because I don't make a lot of money in general (most of it goes to bills). But, I'll look into it.
This video was shot on the test server, where they hand out lots of certs when people come on for scheduled testing. So don't be intimidated. On live you could never get more than 50,000 as that is the cap. Most of the certs you see here were handed to me for testing.
Ah yes, good times these, back when bases could survive on their own for longer and when they were useful. Now bases are shit and far too weak to even survive a single lightning tank that can solo destroy a base.
Don't be alarmed! This footage is from the test server, where the dev's will sometimes do cert grants, for testing purposes. I grind my certs just like everyone else on the live servers.
