Traveling I-20 in Mississippi had a tire come apart off a truck trailer in front of us just a couple of days ago. Nothing to do but just drive over it and it did the exact same thing to our sewer hose tube. Had people waving at us flagging us down. We lost a sewer tube on the freeway. Had to put duct tape over the end of the tube to keep the other hose inside. Buc-ee’s Rocks!
oh goodness!! I hope that's the only damage it did for you guys too. too bad you lost a hose though! Duct tape was our alternate idea too, great minds! 😅
I just recently found your channel and have been steadily catching up on all the videos. With hitting the debris I was wondering about something; do y'all have a dash cam going? In a case like this it would be cool to see it happen. Furthermore, I highly recommend a dash cam for everyone. You never know when it'll be there to save your bacon.
Suggestion - get a battery powered leaf blower for your slides. Oh, and a drill bit for battery powered drill to raise & lower the spare tire & maybe a ujoint or wobble socket adaptor.
It seems to me that sometimes it's about how you look at things. In this video, I see a small bad thing happening that could've prevented something much worse happening. Your hose holder detached and that does suck, but that incident made you notice your spare tire hanging low. This allowed you to fix that, which could've been much worse. I have no idea if there is something out the looking out for you, but it sure feels like it sometimes! Love the positive attitudes! #Happiness is a choice!
Long time listener, first time commenter 😜 Brian and I really enjoyed meeting you both, and the pups! Today, we decided we need to be near you when we do our first boondocking trip so we can absorb your knowledge and expertise. We will be stalking you in the future! 😂
Blower guys...the cover caps are on Amazon.. i bought several for this reason..good job keeping your composure Craig.. we have been there..i remind my wife to breathe and we get through this...travel safe
Buccee's!! 😄We are heading to South Carolina next year, and with that trip, we are going through TN, and I am going to make sure we are stopping at Buccee's! ..lol.. glad you all were okay on that crazy road!
Hi guys.... Greg.. I'm always saying the same thing.. it does not make sense why they tear up so much highway and leave you no room for an emergency stop... You guys handled the situation real well... Wish we knew you were gonna stop in South Carolina we would have came and visit...buc-ees ...It's not camper friendly... We have seen them run class A's with the trailer out... Thanks for the video... You guys stay safe...J&A
oh man, we would have loved to meet you!! I was expecting Buccess to be a bit more RV friendly, but the one we went to didn't seem to have a lot of parking for campers. Thanks for joining us this week!
This is the day we passed yall in Florence. Turns out we passed yall shortly after you left Buckeyes...while we were headed there. Must have missed you by less than 30 minutes. Would have been cool to meet. Hope Lake City was good to yall.
Hi guys. Enjoyed the video and it turns out we are just down the road from you in Santee, SC. That drive on I-95 is something else; not fun! Thanks for the tip on the RV park. We may stay there the next time we come through the area. Oh, we recently made our first trip into a Buccee's (after almost 3 years on the road). You're right; it's crazy in there! Stay safe and have fun. :-)
We learn a long time ago to tune out the trains. From all your traveling you learn to appreciate the nicer rv parks. Great find😊. Will definitely have to add to our list.
Great video. Our tire likes to bounce down too. I use a socket to lift it quick. About time you hit Buc-ee’s. We rarely pass one. Best bathrooms on the road. I always get the pulled brisket and the glazed pecans.
Just love watching the both of you. Your videos are so well put together. Also even when things go wrong you still have a great attitude. Seem to be able to find the joy in small things that keep you going.
Love you guys... I think at this point you might need to travel in a bubble with all the travel day issues you have. PS thanks for the heads up on the campground, added it to our list for next fall.
Congratulations on your first Bucci’s Adventure! We love Bucci’s too! I love their chips, and most importantly their cheap fuel prices. We aren’t that far away from that Lake City place and may have to visit there as well. I like the concrete pads and the spacious campsites.
Hi guys! Another great video. You both have an awesome attitude, didn’t even get bothered by the pipe, just fixed it and went on your way. I’m sorry you went through that. We are learning a lot from you, got to get zip ties. Since we are new to this, we decided not to get any slides, one less thing to break, and also less weight on our RV. We got our solar system installed, it’s very cool. We are finishing packing up the house, putting some stuff in storage and getting ready to go!! The most challenging part of all this was getting rid of the house and it’s contents. It’s crazy the amount of stuff you collect over the years. I even took this opportunity to down size our offices. I am honored that you put my last message up at the end of your video. You guys are an inspiration to us!! Thnx for sharing, can’t wait till your next one. safe travels and again, mucho love from Florida 🤍
I don't blame you for going slide-less for your first rig. Especially after all the troubles we had on our old one! So awesome you got the solar system installed. I bet you'll love it. It really is just so cool to be able to generate power from the sun. And you're not kidding when it comes to stuff accumulation!! It even happens in an RV after a while. When we moved rigs, I was appalled at how much stuff we ended up needing to get rid of lol. And once again, thanks for all the support!!
WOW guys.... that stinks! I feel for you guys. We've had a couple of mishaps while traveling and zip ties were the quick fix for us as well. A dump truck's mirror hit our rear awing and took off the awning arm while traveling towards Tahoe on US50 last year and thankfully I was able to pull off the freeway into a parking lot to zip tie it. Just like your scenario, construction on both sides and nowhere to safely pull off so we drug that awning arm on the road for about 1/2 mile or so. I now travel with 3' zip ties because you never know when you will need to zip tie up a failed jack or something else big, bulky, and heavy. Thankfully you guys are okay and were able to get back on the road safely. Safe and happy travels!!!
oh my!! the whole awning arm!! The 3ft zip ties are a great idea. we might have to pick a few of those up, just in case... because you just never really know what you might come across on the road. those construction zones are definitely the worst though!
I saw that loose spare tire right away and was wondering if you guys would see it. I check mine all of the time because that happened to me once too. Mine was even more loose than yours! Lucky you didn’t lose your stinky slinky, even luckier someone else didn’t find it!
haha yes, I was thinking about how a sewer hose isn't something someone would want to come across on the road lol. We've got a fix for the spare tire in a video coming soon, so stay tuned!!
I’m sorry for y’all catching the tire rubber. Splurge on a beautiful new rv and limb & tire damage in your first few months of having it. Y’all keep such a great attitude. Don’t think I could have been so positive as y’all. I travel through Texas a lot and Bucees is a must stop seems y’all enjoyed it. I’m sure Victoria is very helpful but your skills of doing repairs makes me jealous. Craig if you see this it seems you may have a automatic pull-rite hitch is so do you enjoy it?
I (Victoria) don't know what I'd do without Craig! He can basically fix anything lol. We do have the automatic sliding pullrite hitch. It's worked really well and pulls nicely. We've turned at some pretty sharp angles and the RV hasn't come close to hitting the truck. The only downside is that it is big and heavy so it takes up most of the bed.
Love your videos. West Coast Canadians here planning a short snowbird trip this winter. We have a brand new travel trailer and saw on another video that the people recommended a surge protector. Do you guys have one attached between campsite hookups and your trailer?
We do. You plug it in first. If it gives you the correct lights, you are good to go. I can't remember the brand off the top of my head right now, though.
THAT trying to deal with traffic on busy roads is why I stick to 2 lane country roads as much as possible. Truckers have become so awful on interstates, rude, aggressive, and drive way over speed limit
We learned after years, happy wife door not locked when i'm out, i did sit in a palm springs rv park for a couple hours in 99 degree heat on metal rv steps, so happy wife door unlocked.
Hello. How have you never been to a Buccees when you are from Tallahassee....?? Too funny. $3.95!! Whoot whoot. (Currently in SoCal... well over $5!!) Glad you were able to get going after the tire. All East coast roads are insane. Safe travels.
Beaver Tails are the best! Road mishaps are the worst. Any RVer that has been through Shreveport LA knows that. It’s the only place we have experienced flat tires. Twice. Good Sam sent out a rep that was more stoned than the Snoop Dog fan club! But it makes for good travel stories…..
I've been watching several of your videos since you got your new brinkley. I must say brinkley doesn't live up to its reputation by youtube rv dealers.
I stated reading the comments for the first time to see how many people mentioned it. I don’t have an RV but am living thru your adventures. I just stumbled across your channel and I am watching from the beginning
I thought you guys were done with RV troubles after spending the pg bucks for a new trailer but it seems that Brinkley like so many other companies just don't take that much pride in the finished product. It is disappointing.
Lol, how is it Brinkley’s fault that there was a tire that smashed underneath the RV? I’ve been to their factory and their finish and quality is unmatched by GD, Alliance or any other brand I’ve seen this far. We just ordered one
Good ol' zip ties! An RVer's best friend! 😅 Bummer about the road debris damage, though. Thanks showing us Bucc-ees. I haven't come across one yet, but I'll definitely hit them up when I do. That sandwich looks delish!
The bad thing about having nice stuff ! I forgot to slide the slider hitch our 1st day backing in our driveway and broke our back window and put a mark on the brand new camper . I said well we got that out of the way . Don't have to worry about the frist scratch 😉
oh noooo. But yep, like you said, there's always going to be a first scratch (or second and third in our case lol)...so you might as well just embrace it 😆
Hi there!! Sorry for the mishap on the road, you were Good sports about it. 🤩 I was probably as excited as your pups for those burgers from buc-ee’s 😂 Great camping spot! Stay safe 👋🥰
We hit that bucees the other day. Was so crowded that some were waiting in long lines to LEAVE the lot. Normaly nice tho. And usually cheaper gas. We are in Charleston so that campground would be good for a long weekend.
Crossroads Resort is looking good! We also stayed there about two years ago when it was new. We loved it too. The high volume of train traffic is due to it being the main North to South route. I love the train sounds but I guess some folks don’t feel the same. Love your videos!
So I love trains so this is not a negative for me! If you think the highways are crowded and in poor shape now, imagine what it would be like if there were no freight trains!
You guys are sooo adorable !! we miss buc-ees soo much now that we are living in Idaho - gonna try RV living full time starting in Jan 2025 and see the US again!!
That was our one and only stop at a BucEEs. What a nightmare. Never again. The noise level inside was similar to a used car auction. It also prompted our selling the diesel dually and a big fifth wheel and moving to a TT and a Chevy Express that can get in most places.
Those sewer hose tubes are worthless. Make your own from a 5" vinyl fence post and paint it black. Its easy and so much stronger. You can also make it almost the full 96" in length.
That’s the one Ron and I went to also! So cool, but I was in overload. So much stuff in there. I had to walk outside to breath and walk back in. It was so busy and so much stuff, I couldn’t focus. But that didn’t stop me from buying all the things lol.
Guys it would be good to see more of the camp grounds and the area yous are at please like you used to am disabled and dont get out a lot and loved the it when yous did show us the area and the camp 👍
Don't you wish RUclips would alllow folks to make edits and not repost video? At the 16:54 mark you have laundry spelled wrong but you'd have to lose all your previous views to fix it. You guys are awesome...really doing a great job growing this channel. Hats off to both of you.
we stopped at a buckeys a few months back and as I fueled up and walked the dog my spouse went to get coffee and after waiting in a long line at the cash register was told the coffee was in the wrong cup and would have to be changed well the coffee was left on the counter AND i HAVE BEEN INSTRUCTED TO NEVER STOP AT A BUCKEYS AGAIN!!! LOL our camper is a off road out fit and from tip to tip its only 18 ft long so it's easy to wheel around.
Drove by that Buccees a while back but wasn't sure about the RV parking. Will have to stop in a couple of months on my way to FL. Have never been to a Buccees yet.
Those tires pieces can do a lot of damage, you’re lucky really. Those pieces of rubber can weigh 20-30lbs and get kicked up and can really rip the heck out of things.
We really did get so lucky!! I was really thinking our whole underbelly was going to be torn up but everything else besides the sewer hose holder was fine 🙌🏼
Great video. You guys make such a great team. Thank you for another recommendation for a campground that one looks amazing and has exactly what we look for in a park. It’s on the must book list for when we travel through. ❤️
Thank you for your kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed the video and found our campground recommendation helpful. When you're traveling through, I highly recommend considering the Segway Portable PowerStation Cube Series. It's an amazing power backup solution for your RV camping adventures. With its massive capacity, fast recharging, and versatile sockets, it will ensure uninterrupted power supply and make your outdoor experience even more enjoyable. Happy travels!
Next time you get close to a buc cees you might have to put Craig in the crate with you dog. Settle down Craig! Glad you guys didn’t break more on the unexpected stop. Peace ☮️
I hope you guys are in Florida by now ,cause it's getting cold here in Virginia. BTW that's a bad road you were on ,I've been there!! Best of luck on your way home Have a Merry Christmas.. If you are back in Virginia next year you are welcome to hook up and camp here in the Blue Ridge Mountains , as long as you want. Best Wishes James and Barbara.
We're heading that way eventually, but will actually be spending a bit more of the holiday season in Georgia and North Carolina. Who knows... we could have snow on Christmas!! and thank you so much!!
It seems we have one tire that we need to air up a bit more, it didn’t keep losing air though, it was just fluctuating with the changing temps, so that’s good thankfully!
And with slide toppers on you won’t be shoving off the ❄️ snow
Traveling I-20 in Mississippi had a tire come apart off a truck trailer in front of us just a couple of days ago. Nothing to do but just drive over it and it did the exact same thing to our sewer hose tube. Had people waving at us flagging us down. We lost a sewer tube on the freeway. oh goodness!! I hope that's the only damage it did for you guys too. too bad you lost a hose though! Duct tape was our alternate idea too, great minds! 😅
Rather than sweeping, why not purchase a Dewalt job site blower very compact, fast, and a safe way to clean off your slide outs?
We actually have a Milwaukee one 😅 broom was just easier to grab lol
I just recently found your channel and have been steadily catching up on all the videos. With hitting the debris I was wondering about something; do y'all have a dash cam going? In a case like this it would be cool to see it happen. Furthermore, I highly recommend a dash cam for everyone. You never know when it'll be there to save your bacon.
I Like the Sliced Beef Sandwich & Tatarchips
We always grab a few bottles of the BBQ sauce it's so good. And currently we're out and now I want some 😂
A Speed bump coming out the Park
Suggestion - get a battery powered leaf blower for your slides. Oh, and a drill bit for battery powered drill to raise & lower the spare tire & maybe a ujoint or wobble socket adaptor.
A gutter attachment will save you a trip up the roof. You still need to inspect it but you don't have to transverse from ladder to roof usualy
gutter attachment is a good idea! we have the Milwaukee battery powered one
You need to check out Talona Ridge in Ellijay, GA:)
Stay tuned for our video in about two weeks 😉
That’s why I converted my slide toppers on my motorhome to “true toppers”. Look them up I love them. You got to love how new RVs are built. So sad.
those do look like a really cool option!!
It seems to me that sometimes it's about how you look at things. In this video, I see a small bad thing happening that could've prevented something much worse happening. That sounds like it could be fun. You guys should definitely try to meet up with us somewhere.
We had slide toppers on a rig. I hated all the flipping around they did. We are so glad to not have them anymore.
ours on our last ones were really bad, i think also because they were old and loose, but it was a pain to deal with in wind for sure.
Williamsburg … you’re where my 6th generations ago grandpa was born in 1628 and just across the water from me in Chesapeake
Oh wow!! It’s crazy how much history is in that area. So glad we got to visit
Oh my gosh, that road is awful. But the ended good so can't complain too much!!
Oh no! You be careful. What a nightmare. I’m so sorry. It’s a new camper!
Lol right?! Can’t win for losing sometimes, but it could have been a lot worse so we’re still grateful that’s all that happened
Love the pecans at Bucees! Yum!! Sorry about the damage to your rig...hopefully it's not too bad. Nice looking RV park!
Hi guys.... You guys stay safe...J&A
Bucees hates semi truck drivers with a passion
oh man, we would have loved to meet you!! I was expecting Buccess to be a bit more RV friendly, but the one we went to didn't seem to have a lot of parking for campers. Thanks for joining us this week!

It's funny how fast I can just start sleeping through them after the first day or two. thanks for watching!
Great video. Our tire likes to bounce down too. I use a socket to lift it quick. About time you hit Buc-ee’s. We rarely pass one. Best bathrooms on the road. I always get the pulled brisket and the glazed pecans.
We picked the best stuff it seems!! 🙌🏼 I feel like we should have come across more of them in our travels, but always seem to miss them
@@wildrvlife we hit 3 last weekend between AL and GA.
Hi guys, i was so worried about you two on the stde of the freeway! I hated it! glad your all ok!
thank you!! it was not the best place to have to pull off but it all worked out, thank goodness!
Just love watching the both of you. Your videos are so well put together. Also even when things go wrong you still have a great attitude. Seem to be able to find the joy in small things that keep you going.
Thanks so much! it's all just a part of the grand adventure, so we try to just keep on rolling down the road 😊 thank you for your support!
Love you guys... I think at this point you might need to travel in a bubble with all the travel day issues you have. PS thanks for the heads up on the campground, added it to our list for next fall.
LOL i'm telling ya, we might!! I think you guys would really enjoy walking around the little town there.

Yes! Thank you! Apparently we must also try their Beaver Nuggets the next time, as they seem to be a favorite as well.
I love Buc-ee’s! We are getting one here and it should be open in 2025 I can’t wait! You forgot to get some beaver nuggets!
ooh nice!! and yesss, definitely going to have to get some beaver nuggets the next time
What?!?! No Beaver Nuggets???!!! And you skipped the restroom experience.
It seems like we really missed out on the Beaver Nuggets... next time!!
Free Luandry!
Haha!!

I stated reading the comments for the first time to see how many people mentioned it.
I don’t have an RV but am living thru your adventures. I just stumbled across your channel and I am watching from the beginning
get snap pads for your trailer they are the best i have a 2014 thor ace 30.1 and i love them
Love your video! But its Laundry not Luandry🤣😆
LOL - the number of times we watching this video and never caught that... 🤣
Ok i watched twice and missed it. Which williamsburg campground??
It was Rockahock campground! We show it a little more in last weeks video but it was a great and more affordable option near Williamsburg
I thought you guys were done with RV troubles after spending the pg bucks for a new trailer but it seems that Brinkley like so many other companies just don't take that much pride in the finished product. It is disappointing.

right!! always must carry zip ties. and I was skeptical, but Buccees is definitely worth a stop!
Great video! I predict you will have a very emotionally high weekend coming up!
I think so too! :)
Hi Guys, fun video (all of them).
thank you so much!
The bad thing about having nice stuff ! I forgot to slide the slider hitch our 1st day backing in our driveway and broke our back window and put a mark on the brand new camper .

Hey Victoria, you should clean your lens like Eddy did!
haha it's like a whole new camera! 😆
I love you guys. Buc-ees has the best brisket IMO.
thank you!! it was much better than we were expecting!
When you are in your 60 and older, you will like slide toppers
I can understand that!
We hit that bucees the other day. Was so crowded that some were waiting in long lines to LEAVE the lot. Normaly nice tho. And usually cheaper gas. We are in Charleston so that campground would be good for a long weekend.

Thank you! I would highly recommend that place, and after being around a little longer, it still looks nice and new.
Great video guys. Consider some sort of safety chain / cable / strap on that spare tire. Mount that stinky slinky holder behind the axles.
That's a great idea! We really need to do something to secure it better.
That’s where i park with mine is in the back
it worked out pretty good like that! less stressful than trying to find a spot up front
So I love trains so this is not a negative for me! If you think the highways are crowded and in poor shape now, imagine what it would be like if there were no freight trains!
Oh my gosh!! I bet so much worse.
The one thing with slide toppers as you don’t have to scrub the tree sap off the top of your slide out
Great work!!! Nice team effort!!! Very impressive the way you handled this BUMP in the road 🙂
You guys are sooo adorable !! we miss buc-ees soo much now that we are living in Idaho - gonna try RV living full time starting in Jan 2025 and see the US again!!
You need a battery leaf blower
we have a Milwaukee one in the bottom of a tote in our storage bay 😅
We hit a tire tread 2 years ago. Ripped out the whole sewer pipe up to the tank connections.
Fixed it ourselves, what a job.
Aww! I'm sorry to hear that.
I feel your pain with the unaligned spare tire hole. 😤 Such a simple thing that makes life miserable. -J
especially when you're on the side of the highway trying to deal with it 😅
That was our one and only stop at a BucEEs.
Great video, entertaining
Glad you enjoyed it! thanks for watching!
You need to get one of those little leaf blowers they work pretty good they blow like 200 mph. Instead of using a broom 👍🇺🇲
Was that the Buckys in Florence SC? If so you were an hour from me in Myrtle Beach
Oh my gosh, that was the one. That place is crazy.
That’s the one Ron and I went to also! So cool, but I was in overload. So much stuff in there. I had to walk outside to breath and walk back in. It was so busy and so much stuff, I couldn’t focus. But that didn’t stop me from buying all the things lol.
Y'all's attitude is always positive! No matter what craziness is going on, you just persevere!
Had a muffler where hanger connections was rusted, coathanger wires always worker better to hang muffler.
Seems like everyone camps out at the gas pumps. You guys weren't rude like most. 😊
Buccees is great!
The candied pecans really were the best!
Buccees is a beast.
so much bigger than we imagined
Only use black tie wraps. The white ones won't last very long, especially in the sun. But if that is all you got., use em.
My favorite RV channel
Thank you so much!!
Enjoyed
thanks for watching!
Another great video!!
Thank you so much!!
Hmm, sounds like your slide toppers needed to be tightened up is all .
Lol!! and we watching this video so many times while editing and never noticed. lol oh well, our mistake will be there forever now 😆🤣
we stopped at a buckeys a few months back and as I fueled up and walked the dog my spouse went to get coffee and after waiting in a long line at the cash register was told the coffee was in the wrong cup and would have to be changed well the coffee was left on the counter AND i HAVE BEEN INSTRUCTED TO NEVER STOP AT A BUCKEYS AGAIN!!! LOL our camper is a off road out fit and from tip to tip its only 18 ft long so it's easy to wheel around.
Oh gosh! That doesn’t sound like a very fun trip to Bucees 😅 though probably much easier to navigate with only 18 feet!
Drove by that Buccees a while back but wasn't sure about the RV parking. Will have to stop in a couple of months on my way to FL. Have never been to a Buccees yet.
It's definitely an experience worth having! I wasn't expecting so much from a gas station lol
If you’re in Brunswick, GA try Coastal Georgia RV Resort! It’s just like the one you’re in now, and a quick trip to beaches and both islands.
Ooh we’ll have to add that one to our Google map!
If you think thats crazy the new one in Severeville TN is 50% bigger
whatttt, ok now that one is on the list!
Peace ☮️
Hahah! It was an exciting time at the gas station 🤣
You worry me up on the roof with flip-flops on your feet. A small blower works well on the roof. You be careful up there. Thanks for the fun videos.
We will, and thank you for watching!!
Best Wishes
James and Barbara.
We're heading that way eventually, but will actually be spending a bit more of the holiday season in Georgia and North Carolina. Who knows... we could have snow on Christmas!! and thank you so much!!
Oh, I enjoy trains for some reason 😂? Yes those concrete barriers make me nervous, especially when they make the lane small😢.
Well you would definitely love that park then! 🚂
Wild ride for sure with I95 being under construction.
and I feel like it's ALWAYS under construction too
Did you figure out why your tpms was beeping? I’m worried about it.
It seems we have one tire that we need to air up a bit more, it didn’t keep losing air though, it was just fluctuating with the changing temps, so that’s good thankfully!
What’s free luandry? Lol great video! 😂
Hahah right?? Sounds unreal right?
