Video description-The Peach Tortilla
Man I’m a Native Texan and I absolutely LOVE the direction Texas BBQ is going! Give me all the fusion!! It’s such a welcome change.
Austin local here- can confirm both KG and Kemuri are places friends have talked about and are not tourist traps! 👍🏻
Man I’m so out of the loop in my own town
lucky you that you are so close 👌
Japanese BBQ vs. Egyptian BBQ? This is clearly the food battle I never knew I needed 😂 It all looks bangin' though!
mっmkーzr😮tz
I like traditional but it's always nice if they have fusion recipes that can appeal to people not worldly or daring but with touch of styles they can relate to .
@@d3neu i actually hate that type of fusion lol. It’s typically pretty uninteresting because it’s less thoughtful.
You're telling me that ENTIRE platter was only 15$? What an insane deal
Yeah i'm a bit skeptical of that being true considering the prices on the board, that plate is easily $30+ which is still a great deal for that much food but there's just no way they make money off that plate by charging only $15
Just the brisket rice bowl is $16.50 according to their website. Lamb chops $8.50 each, ribs $30 lb, brisket, $34 lb. Looks really good though. Would love to try.
@@divinekpl1 yea which is fine but i wish he would let us now if its the normal price or the special price for him reviewing it
@@errk25 I was gonna say, that's the most absurd deal on BBQ I've ever heard of lol.
They can make deals like that cause they use the whole animal like camel head, leg meat, tail. And people go wow that was so wonderful tasting . Cause they don't know how to cook those parts and there so tender and juicy.
$15 is that a misprint? Menu shows different, lamb chops $8.50 per bone.
How can that whole plate be $15???
That must be special price for Mike for promoting his business.
It looks so delicious!
As a Japanese, it was a happy video.
I saw your video on Monday night and it made me smile.
Thank you very much.
Have a nice Tuesday!
Hi, what city in Japan are you from? I’m from the US in the city Las Vegas.
@@xCkillaxC I am from Nagoya!
I remember seeing “best ever food review show” go to the Egyptian place! glad you got to go Mikey!!! 🎉
same! thought I recognized that guy
i was like did i watch this already? lmao
first thing that popped in my head!
I thought it seemed familiar !!
Wow I’ve been slacking. I live in Austin but haven’t heard of these. I’m a native Texas and don’t want to commit heresy, but that Egyptian approach to bbq looks like it’s likely to be my favorite style of bbq. It all just looks so balanced. Speaking of bbq, I’m headed to Seoul in a couple of weeks!
I dont see any other solution than you going to this place.
WooHoo! Bulgogi is awesome!
Korean BBQ also has bbq chicken and pork
Oh wow! now I like all of them!
Two classic BBQ places to hit if I ever get to Austin!
Scale, 1 to 10. Mike gives it a billion. Must be some good stuff
Mike let himself go
Egyptian BBQ!!! I would 100% be in heaven. That food looks amazing.
I love when Mikey gets up and personal with the chefs and the sort. They seem to love it when he gives them high praises even as small dinners and the sort 😮❤❤❤
These videos are sponsored by the restaurants.
@@SirBowiehow do you know
Tahini is my favorite condiment. I really want to try these places when I'm in Austin next.
Love these types of videos
Oh wow I loved this very delicious food thanks for sharing Mikey ..x❤❤
Texas BBQ knows that it’s the best, so it’s just doing side quests at this point
Hey Mike. This was Incredible! Just a delicious meal. The bowl, sauce, lamb. 😮 😋 My mouth is watering Mike. Enjoy! Eat for me. Lolz 🤣❤🐞
Love the vids man!!
everything here looks so good...
ive been watching texas bbq videos for so long yet i haven't tasted it 🥲
That Rice pudding looked real good
Omg Mikey!!! Cant wait to watch this right now, just wanted to say your amazing and thanking you for making me smile, have a wonderful day wherever in the world you are, take care xXx 😊
How much do you workout every day to deal with this intake
Wait. That Egyptian BBQ platter was only $15? That’s gotta be an mistake
Lol, yeah, I bet it was supposed to be 75 😅
Either they comped him nearly everything or it's a typo. Their website shows that brisket rice bowl is $18.50 alone.
i saw a comment saying it’s like $35
Even at 35, that's a lot of food and still a good value!
I came here just for this comment 🤣 I was about to say, I'm overpaying for BBQ if that entire plate was only $15!
Awesome
Perfect bites from every dish... Beautiful food. 😋👍🌻
3:34 wow... Fresh and Delicious 🤤👍😊
Amazing video as always mike! You always deliver top quality content!❤❤❤😊😊😊😊
Staying close to KG gonna try before leaving fursure but that second spot looks mouth watering too
I'm here in Austin right now hope to see you if you are still here
All of those prices were 100% wrong. The tuna collar was 85 and the first bbq place was more than that..
Lies again? Instant Noodles
Maybe that’s the price he paid because he is a famous youtuber. And because he paid with his own money, he doesn’t have to say the restaurants sponsored him
that's pretty cool you were there eating with him for you to know the prices on that day.....oh you weren't there sorry so stfu.
Finally, I was waiting for your vlog. Looks like forever. Love your honest opinion all the time when it comes to food. God bless you. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Me having dejavu on why this is so familiar, as soon as he said pomegranate i realised I saw him with Sonny on best ever food review show
In the youtube description the last place is mistyped The Peached Tortilla.
Welcome back. RIP Buffet Mike.
You need to try Bawi in Springfield MO! BEST KOREAN BBQ EVER
New drinking game!
Take a shot every time Mike uses joocie, oooomommy, or ammmmmaaaaaaazzzzzing.
16 minute video but you will miss the last 11 minutes
Peached Tortilla is the best!!!! 🎉
If you like roasted eggplant, you definitely must try eastern europe "Eggplant Caviar")
Mike, where is your eggplant recipe please? Would love to try something different.
Eggplant tempura
Interesting one.
I recognised Kemuri from Worlds greatest food review
14:43 16 dollars? that's 3 days worth of food for me
Love your content Mike! Always puts a smile on my face!😊😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤
Omg That Egyptian BBQ looks amazing. I love middle eastern flavors and spices. I wish they had something like that where I live
Unbelievable as usual, I don’t know how you find these amazing resources. Thank you for not gatekeeping these unique spots. 🙏😊
That Egyptian bbq look good
I love fusion food. It literally says everything about food in America
oo i rem seeing the Egyptian one on best ever food review show i think. glad to see you trying it
STOOOP YOU MAKEING A MY MOUTH FLOOD AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
I honestly think eating fruit is cheaper then ag1 and probably tastes better.
AG1 and other green powders are useless. Just money grabs that provide no benefits
So, I know you don't always get a chance to go to these places beforehand to scout out what's good or bad and whether they'd make a good video.
For these places, did you go in before hand?
No, they pay him and then he comes and gets a free meal ticket if he shows off what they offer on the channel.
That meat looks amazing! I've had to comment before I've even watched the whole video. I couldn't wait. My mouth is watering ❤❤
im usually skipping the first minute :)
Wow amazing Egyptian BBQ, & Japanese BBQ ! You always find Amazing Foods Mikey Chen ! Awesome & Delicious BBQ !
all that food for 15 usd? Damn thats a good deal
I need that Egyptian BBQ. I never thought about spoked lamb before but I need it!
I've seen so many food youtube channels that I swear I've seen that Egyptian dude and his grill for like the 34th time already lmao
Definetly goin to the Egyptian BBQ, 15 bucks for all of that food and then just ribs for 16 in the Japanese place. Not saying its not delicious but price wise I' d go everyday to the Egyptian BBQ and the Japanese one maybe for a treat once in a while. If I ever go to Texas def gonna look for it. Love the video.
Read the other comments it’s not that price
@@mohammadalbakshy1912 yeah, I checked back in the video like 3 times makin sure that it is 15 but Im seeing others that it supposed to be 35, right? Obviously more money, now its a 2 times a week thing haha
@jorgeasaur I guarantee that is about $150.00, not $15. I've been there and won't go back because of how expensive it was.
@@makeupyourmind82 good to know now, hahaha the confusion of it bein priced wrongly in the video made me feel like why arent more people talking about it, so it has definetly become a try once a year thing now hahha
When are you going to be making a video of what led to your wedding in so curious about it
Video starts at 1:12
It was so help. Thanks!
funny thing is, we Kiwi's (New Zealanders) have never seen this supplement AG1^^
No chance that egyptian bbq platter was only $15, I feel like that would be the cheapest bbq platter I've ever seen anywhere.
right? That had to be a typo....
probably 115 or 150
@@ap0110 no, its 15$, egypt, it was 15$
@@ap0110 egypt is not the richest country :D If average Egyptian salary is around 80-100$, 15 seems like huge price for them ngl :D
@@theblackytdoyle5049are you dull حبيبي؟
This man is not profiting at $15 a plate. No reason anyone would sell food below cost. I don’t care how modest average Egyptian income, that’s quite irrelevant as he’s living in the US, where cost of living and cost of ingredients are far higher. He’d go broke next week.
I miss the travel food vlogging, where you would travel to somewhere for a period of time and travel around that country trying all different restaurants enjoying the country etc.. now your just bouncing around from place to place from episode to episode.. what set you apart from the other two major male food vloggers was you enjoyed the country and the food.. felt like watching a Traveling food vlogger, now its just like watching ads for specific restaurants
Great video Mike!
This KG BBQ place is just OK. I would rate it 6.8/10. It is very ridiculously expensive which the video doesn't show at all. He showed a plate of bbq that cost no less than $150.00 with a $15 price tag in the corner. I've learned to take his recommendations with a grain of salt because all of the ones I've tried over the years since 2017, turn out to be just OK, whilst he slams places that are 10/10.
weird to find a pork sausage in an egyptian place but looks delicious
Was looking for this comment 😂
Not all egyptians are muslim their lot coptic christan egyptians, also before the swine flu some egyptian christans did eat and grow pigs, I personally would never eat pork but I know their egyptians who did eat and grow it in egypt.
@@sakurakou2009Woo Pig Sooie 🐗
@@sakurakou2009 okay i didn’t know, thanks for info (:
All that food at the Egyptian BBQ looked amazing and it was really cheap, imo, for the amount you got! I'd love to try that!
Me no eat meat

That first platter was only 15 bucks?! Thats like the same price as a double quarter pounder meal from mcdonalds. Thats crazy.
Yummmm❤
Yes. Please do more videos in Austin. Austin is a very underrated food city. The tacos and Vietnamese aren’t so bad either.
Me no understanding
Hi Mike. Watching from AZ!!! My family and I are in your Disneyland video, in line for space mountain. Im wearing a lakers hoodie lol. My big brother was too scared to say hi. Big fans and much love to you!
Wird salad never seen in this kind of food
Oh my gosh! I never knew I wanted something like this, until now!!!
Everything looked fantastic! I would very happily eat any (all) of those dishes.
Showing off his ring
I'm so glad you came back to Austin. The authentic Asian in Austin has EXPLODED in the last few years. It's almost like they heard you complain about Austin not having enough and went "Hold my beer". I'm not saying we're anywhere near LA but the offerings has quadrupled in a very short time frame.
Those BBQ dishes look amazing!
Ooooo I love the Egyptian bbq. Looks delicious!
bravo ya Masri
I live in austin and i believe that last restaurant is called the peached tortilla. Not the beach tortilla as in the description
My mouth is watering watching this video 😍😋🤗
For anyone who hasn't had tuna collar, put it at the top of your list. It's hard to find, but if you do, get it!
That collar is not $35 for 2lbs…that’s per pound. I was there 2 weeks ago…I live in Austin…
Keep in mind he got the bento box version which is an added cost.
Wow that first barbecue 🍖 plate look so big and yummy 😋 you had so such yummy food and the last barbecue 🍖 look so soft and delicious with a hit of sour 😋
Ain’t no way that Egyptian place is 15 bucks. Maybe the rice and brisket 😮
Arabian bbq is amazing omg I'm salivating. Japanese too but I'm Arab so I gottta give it to Egypt.
Egyptians are not arabs stop trying to arabize us against our will, and they have pork ribs so obviously they are coptic egyptians not arabs please respect, Egyptians are just Egyptians.
Egypt is in North Africa.
@sakurakou2009 I'm not trying to Arabize y'all. Your national langauge is ARABIC. MY COUSINS ARE HALF EGYPTIAN and they 100% claim to be ARAB. Your shows are in Arabic. Your culture? Your food? We all share it. We literally have the same spices. We all make Waraq 3inab ya Zalama and some good Maglooba. We all dance to the same music. We all turn on Shik Shek Shok. When we vacation where do we go when we stay in an Arab space? Sharm Al Sheikh. Ida into lu3'itkum Al3arabi intu 3arab ya gama3a.
Also Arabs can Christain AND Muslim.

Always, enjoys them Sponsors… Pretty, please keep up The Great work buddy.
Damn homie, Egyptian BBQ hooked you up and the Japanese overcharged you, they must know about AG1 lol
Now these are the flavors and textures I crave to sink my teeth into!! Every dish looked amazing, but the meats looked so juicy and succulent...drooling.
Tuna collar has to be one of my favorite cuts, but I've never had it smoked. That looks incredible.
Been to Kemuri last summer. I really love the food and vibe there.
Awesome job Mikey
Next time you are in Austin Mike you should try Yummi Taco, it's an Asian fusion restaurant as well. My favorite is the Bulgogi taco.
3:18 15 USD? What the heck... That can't be right?
Oh dip. That looks fantastic. Why wouldn't you have pomegranate and almond brisket?
