Since the modding scene had began in Fnf, there was only 1 song that I could hold as my favorite, foolhardy from the zardy mod, then I found this mod and I now have multiple favorites and one song that dethroned foolhardy, Paranoia 🔥
1:24:14 hi! dev here (I did charting n stuff) I want to give a little bit of trivia to this song. The version of the song in the final build was completed quite literally THIRTY MINUTES before release. what happened was that Wahbox wanted to remake the song (older versions can be found on Funkipedia, if you are curious) but he went back and forth on whether or not he wanted to remake it. So the NIGHT BEFORE RELEASE, he grabbed Me, Nate, Fried, and Red and stuck us in a group chat called the "Abandoned War Room" and we grinded out the song, chart, and code right before release. this version of the song was SUPER SUPER close to not being included in the mod. (also this is the reason the mechanic is super unbalanced lol)
I NEVER FOUND THAT FOR THE SCRIPT WAHHHH That's an AWESOME piece of trivia I wish I included in the video holy hell! Abandoned is REALLY well done for being a thirty minute composition! Wahbox did SUCH a good job with the stylization and the narrative beats within the song! Thanks for sharing!

The screams from Dark Forest are actual Peach screams from the game Super Mario Strikers when she’s pushed into the electrical barriers. I have no clue why the VA for her made the scream so blood curdling.

It definitely shows! I thought that song's mechanics were so freaking cool when I played it; you guys did a phenomenal job on it. Paranoia was easily a highlight of the mod for me!
The mod is practically one of the best because of the aspirations and the time it took to make the mod in the first place, even if some songs were leaked, and even then that got a mod for itself that shows what the leaked build sound (which I prefer some of the instrumentals in the leaked build better than the final), and each song is able to follow the source material of where they originated from, and give off the setting of where these encounters would take place while also allowing for the main villain to rise to the power he has, making him more than just a piece of art that was shown back when Mario.EXE was new. The voices, though some are either reused from their original sources, others are able to convey how the character would sound if they were given that voice, like Coronation Day Peach and Oh God No Luigi (even in the leaked build despite the memes, it was a very good effort that was actually amazing to hear)
Also another thing about mx is that he shares mario's personality.....a little bit. Outside of his "playtime", if he doesnt feel like killing, he actually helps around the residents and characters in the mushroom kingdom. (I dont know if this is very accurate or debunked, this is what i saw on his wiki last time i checked)
@Demonic_Pulsar like i said, depends if he feels like killing. He does kill a toad, but thats cause he wants to murder/ play his games.........and to give the game extra horror, but thats a different topic.
One more thing to add to Alone, Ghost BF and Ghost GF aren't actually them, and are just apparitions meant to haunt Luigi. (I believe this isn't canon currently, but I remember it being canon sometime ago. I think they changed it)
I feel like the easiest way for Turmoil to turn back into normal Mario is to hurt him in a way to make him lose his corrupted yoshi code powerup, simple as just Boop all gone, Mario is back to normal

As a huge MM fan who loves to yap about headcannons and theories for the mod and has a mod that's inspired by MM I can honestly say this is the best Mario's Madness V2 video I've watched. Great work!!!
I keep telling people Mr. Virtual is the most powerful character in the mod. He is not only aware of the world outside of the mod, but he's also able to manipulate the outside world, albeit not very drastically. Ultra M can't do that, or if he can, then he hasnt made it known.
The reason why I stated Ultra M to be the strongest is that we can prove it with the lore. The way Cappy works (least in here), is that M would had to've defeated the victim, and then take them using the hat. Either that, or he would have to use his intelligence to outwit them into a deal in which their soul or assistance is the price. Best case scenario for V is that he willingly gave himself over, but M would still probably wipe him out considering he most likely had many powerful souls at this time. Worst case is obviously V got mollywopped and taken like all the others. And to add to your point about outside influence- the most V has is his ability to get inside the heads of his victims. He can then use their lifeless corpse to shuffle around the real world. The only reason this isn't as impressive as M is because his vessels on the outside rapidly decay, and soon die out. M, however, with enough power, would have everything just transfer over upon exiting his game. We can kind of see this when he pulls GF, BF, and Pico into his world. Though, it seems that you've got me on the fourth wall thing. V does seem more aware than M in that regard. I don't think M mentions us once in the mod. Thanks for your thoughts!!

I know I'm an entire month late but, another fun fact about turmoil (specifically the old version, the one that's in this mod) there's an official comic where he's not hostile to luigi
I haven't played FNF in years, and I haven't been tapped in with any new mods at all since forever. School started, and I decided that I was bored and decided to search up FNF mods on my iPad to play during my study hall because I had no homework. I kept seeing Marios Madness at the top of many pages, but I never clicked it. I decided a week ago to finally check it out and watch a RUclips video of the mod, and it was over 2 hours long. I was like, "How is a mod over 2 hours long?" Because you know I'm used to mods just being 3 or a couple more songs, but watching the video playthrough of the mod changed everything. The cutscenes, the story, the songs, the effort, it was amazing. I was baffled by the production that was put into a mod that dropped only one year ago. It really shifted my perspective with how much people would do to make a mod for this game, looking back on how I remember mods back then simply being text and a couple of cool tracks, or purposely trying to make the hardest mod. This mod really has been interested in the community for the game again, and I hope that I'll see more of stuff like this in the future even though I haven't played for years. If there's any other mods that have a quality as high as this, I'd love to know. I haven't been tapped in with the mods dropping on this game since late 2021 and early 2022 because I feel like there was too many dropping, so I stopped watching or playing them. Crazy to see this game still thriving with even more insane mods when I remember playing this in middle school and loving it then with how simple they were. Such a blessing that the community is still going to this day 🙏🏼
Some notes I guess 9:33 Horror Peach is I think from the same artist as Horror Mario. While Yoshi.exe is based on some art as well, with the same name. 13:44 Or maybe it’s just that Chris Pratt was originally was going to be drawn in the FNF style. He looks kinda like Pico. Grand Dad comes from a bootleg of the Flinstones NES game, but replaces Fred’s head with Mario’s and changes the title screen. Somari is actually from a bootleg game for the NES that tried replicating Sonic 1 on the NES. Somari was the main character of the bootleg. The Hummerteam (The bootleggers) tends to make these sorts of NES demakes, and made plenty more based on Sonic 1. I also believe they made the demake of Super Mario World on the NES. Proving Miyamoto wrong, and that you can have Yoshi functioning on the NES.
If you wish to improve your skills switch gameplay to dfjk (dfjk is the easiest playstyle lining up with keys) and play until you full combo songs like triple trouble and four way fracture Thats when youll realise you can push your reaction times to be a lot faster and reactive If it helps youre welcome
If you guys like the M songs, I recommend the lyric version made by Luke Goji It’s a me and Starman slaughter are pretty good but All Star is just on another level! The first two have bf stay with his original beeps but in the third both him and gf sing their own lyrics to combat Ultra M. The Lyrics actually add a lot to the characters. It also has some custom artworks that make it amazing

On the mod's M, you know how Vs. Sonic.exe's titular character is a mix between the MY5TCrimson game and the new Xenophanes? A similar thing is going on here, where M is a fusion between the Horror Mario art as his design and the original Mario.exe as his character's main basis as well as his world itself. I mean, Starman Slaughter is a fusion between the game's 1-3 and 1-1.
4:02 Where is it actually stated to be Nintendo’s Mario? I thought it was just this demon that Daddy Dearest was friends with and everything else about the origins was the same. Also, ngl. I only saw a full playthrough of this mod on RUclips. So my headcanon was that Ultra M was a fan of Mario and Mario Horror. So when he was trapped in the game, he made everything. Replicating characters, world, etc to make his own giant army. So in my headcanon, MX could be real in this mod’s universe, but the MX in the game is just a recreation from Ultra M’s demonic powers, coding abilities, and his nerdy knowledge of the Mario PC Port. I also like the idea in the headcanon that all of these characters aren’t real in the mod’s universe, they literally are just Ultra M’s fake minions.
So Mario exist in mx's I wonder how Mario reacted to waking up one day and seeing a UNITE version of him chai someone who looks like his brother but sounds like a kid

I haven't played FNF in years, and I haven't been tapped in with any new mods at all since forever. School started, and I decided that I was bored and decided to search up FNF mods on my iPad to play during my study hall because I had no homework. I kept seeing Marios Madness at the top of many pages, but I never clicked it. I decided a week ago to finally check it out and watch a RUclips video of the mod, and it was over 2 hours long. I was like, "How is a mod over 2 hours long?" Because you know I'm used to mods just being 3 or a couple more songs, but watching the video playthrough of the mod changed everything. The cutscenes, the story, the songs, the effort, it was amazing. I was baffled by the production that was put into a mod that dropped only one year ago. It really shifted my perspective with how much people would do to make a mod for this game, looking back on how I remember mods back then simply being text and a couple of cool tracks, or purposely trying to make the hardest mod. This mod really has been interested in the community for the game again, and I hope that I'll see more of stuff like this in the future even though I haven't played for years. If there's any other mods that have a quality as high as this, I'd love to know. I haven't been tapped in with the mods dropping on this game since late 2021 and early 2022 because I feel like there was too many dropping, so I stopped watching or playing them. Crazy to see this game still thriving with even more insane mods when I remember playing this in middle school and loving it then with how simple they were. Such a blessing that the community is still going to this day 🙏🏼

Somari is actually from a bootleg game for the NES that tried replicating Sonic 1 on the NES. Somari was the main character of the bootleg. The Hummerteam (The bootleggers) tends to make these sorts of NES demakes, and made plenty more based on Sonic 1. I also believe they made the demake of Super Mario World on the NES. Proving Miyamoto wrong, and that you can have Yoshi functioning on the NES.
If you wish to improve your skills switch gameplay to dfjk (dfjk is the easiest playstyle lining up with keys) and play until you full combo songs like triple trouble and four way fracture

It’s a me and Starman slaughter are pretty good but All Star is just on another level! The first two have bf stay with his original beeps but in the third both him and gf sing their own lyrics to combat Ultra M. The Lyrics actually add a lot to the characters. It also has some custom artworks that make it amazing

On the mod's M, you know how Vs. Sonic.exe's titular character is a mix between the MY5TCrimson game and the new Xenophanes? A similar thing is going on here, where M is a fusion between the Horror Mario art as his design and the original Mario.exe as his character's main basis as well as his world itself. I mean, Starman Slaughter is a fusion between the game's 1-3 and 1-1.

Also, ngl. I only saw a full playthrough of this mod on RUclips. So my headcanon was that Ultra M was a fan of Mario and Mario Horror. So when he was trapped in the game, he made everything. Replicating characters, world, etc to make his own giant army. So in my headcanon, MX could be real in this mod’s universe, but the MX in the game is just a recreation from Ultra M’s demonic powers, coding abilities, and his nerdy knowledge of the Mario PC Port. I also like the idea in the headcanon that all of these characters aren’t real in the mod’s universe, they literally are just Ultra M’s fake minions.
