Can you do the swatches on the eyes (like one shade all over) and not the flat lay style? I really don't want your eyelids to fall off but this video was already so helpfull! The arm swatches are all over their website anyway. I would like to see the eyeshadows this way because of the different skin texture, it's more "curvy" area etc. ... I have like 3 eyeshadow in the cart for like 3 weeks already and I just don't know if I should buy them because I can't imagine them on the eyes. :D

The price is way up there, I would never buy a single eyeshadow at $25.00 ,but dont worry there is always going to be someone else to make it at a lesser cost, it's just a waiting game .
appreciating from afar is a great plan, that is what I do with almost everything :) I was planning to spend almost half of my monthly budget on 4 or 5 of these, which would have been worth it to me because I knew that exact money was going to be spent on one beautiful thing or another (it was just a matter of choosing these instead of other things). But if it's a matter of saving the money as opposed to spending it, it's a LOT of money and needs serious thought. I love budgeting because it's a closed system, if that makes sense.
@@nette101 I can kind of live with the price of the shadows I just wish a European or UK based company did things like this. They work out at £15 British pounds per shadow which is only a few pounds more than say an abh shadow. It's just the shipping and then the customs that are a killer.

I understand that, clionadh will probably expand to US as well eventually but I'd just like to mention this is how Canadians have felt for years, we dont get colorpop, bh cosmetics, any indie brands. anything ULTA so basically 90% of what everyone on RUclips talks about we dont have access to unless we spend and arm and leg on custom charges :/
OMG, that first color is my carnival fantasy dream.
Your eyes look like galaxies or nebulas. Those shadows are so cool. I might pick up a few, loving the multichrome look.
Love the second one. It reminded me of a butterfly’s wing.
You can't blend out the edges like you would a normal shadow. Works best for halo looks and to cut crease. If you want a more blended look, do your transition colors first and finish them, then use a paddle style brush to apply the multichrome. I think your look turned out cool, and would look really cool if you layer one of the iridescent multichromes on your brow bone.

This is beautiful shadow. But to me, less is more. The black in the multi chrome gathered into the crease and you really did not need the black. I think one shadow does the job of three. But playing with shadows, you always put on more to play with it. The second eye looked better than the first.
My type of lowbuy was to make one makeup purchase this year that should be less than 100$. And I've finally decided that clionadh cosmetics would be that purchase 😍😍 And I'm so excited to get the three glitter multichrome and magnetic palette
This truly clinches it for me -- seeing how they blend out, seeing how they behave layered with regular shadows & other multichromes. I'm DEFINITELY going to be investing in at least 2 or 3 of these. Not just yet, however... I've set myself upon the project of a No Buy Year & have been watching your back catalogue of videos. But once that's concluded, I'm excited to treat myself to such an extravagant, beautiful gift!

I love your disclaimer at the beginning, how oneself can be drawn to a specific brand or product because it connects with one. We can never be totally unbiased. When I was a teen and I saw popular drugstore beauty brands I always was drawn to Revlon because of Cindy Crawford, I could realistically picture myself with makeup that would work with brown hair and eyes. I also was drawn to L’oreal “because you are worth it” above “maybe it’s maybelline” (of course it is!) or “Cover Girl” ( could not picture my latin looks in magazine covers during the 90s). Of course now marketing has broadened to reach all kinds of consumers and I have matured and changed my preferences as a consumer. However, I am aware that I will always be biased and more likely to consume and love something I feel a connection to.
So fun to watch you playing with them. Love both of them, and look forward to seeing you play the rest of them in your future video :)
FYI the international shipping for Adept empty palettes is more than the cost of the palettes so they end up being really expensive.

I first bought from Clionadh after watching Angelica Niqvist's reviews on them, and continue to buy from them even though shipping from Canada is a hard pill to swallow. I've been waiting for more reviews like this so I can actually choose just a few, since my gut reaction is to say screw it and get the entire collection! I'm so glad you were sent these, they are so obviously right up your alley.
I would definitely, definitely not recommend getting the entire collection. I'll say this in the overhead swatch video but one of the things I love about this collection is that they went all in and pretty much made all of the possible iterations of these shadows. To my mind, that is so we can pick and choose the exact few that suit us best. Even among the handful they sent there are some that are similar enough that I wouldn't buy both (but I'm glad they made them all because preferences vary minutely like that). At the same time, don't stress about which ones you choose! You'll love whatever you get, they are so special.
@@HannahLouisePoston that's what I was thinking, and keep telling myself I don't have to rush because they are permanent additions to their collection. That doesn't mean that my little makeup goblin heart isn't telling me I need them all! 😂

These are like the lazy persons eyeshadow dreams! One shadow gives so much dimension, color and contour! Also, the first shadow is so perfect for hazel eyes, with all the same colors in one. I'm typically a matte shadow fan, but my own hazel eyes really want the first one.😊

I've never gotten into multi/ duo chrome because I don't know how they'll look on the lid and how to style accordingly. Watching you do makeup has made me apply my shadows in a messier less... sculpted way and I'm loving it. I am beginning to break rules I learned on youtube, like not doing a look without mattes. I don't think my eyes are hooded, at least not much, but they're deeply set, and the way you apply up above the crease works well for me with my deep set eyes too.
RKay17 i’ve been doing the same thing! a big tip/every day trick for me is using a like cream shadow & then smudging a duo chrome shade all over my lid and into the crease. i’ve been using the elf smudge pot in cruisin chic nearly every day with a CP shadow - loving the colourpop super shocks for this!

FYI eyeshadow play time starts at 8 minutes, if that is what you are most interested in. (Not moaning about intro, just saying that if that is what interests you most, that's when it starts :) )
I loved this! I think your spirit of experimentation works so well with these super different, dynamic shadows. I'm definitely inspired to play with colour in a different way having watched this :) Keen to see you use these shadows more and to get more ideas from you on how to use them as I've been planning on buying a few myself.

A friend gave me a jeweled multichrome recently, and I have to say... I am not new to multichromes at all (I have some from Sigil and from Dawn Eyes), but the Clionadh ones (or one, I suppose... haha) are easily the best I've used.
I'm hoping to have some content on it in the next week or so, but if you or anyone reading this comment want a more "traditional" eyeshadow look where you'd blend out these shimmers with mattes, I highly recommend patting the mattes on top of the shimmer also, not swiping them like you would typically to blend something.
I generally choose a matte that's in the same color family as the multichrome and pat it overlapping the edge so that one side of the matte is on my skin and one side is on top of the multichrome. Blending out the edges of the matte, either into your skin or into another matte, will create a smooth, seamless blend, without disturbing the multichrome mica too much. You can also select a lighter color than you might ordinarily pick if you want to sweep it a bit, and that way the black will blend with the color a bit and you'll get a darker version of the color as well.
Multichromes are soo much fun, and they're a ton of fun to photograph. I've been having a ball holding my lights up in different ways to catch the reflects. XD

Thanks for doing this. Both looks turned out really well. I REALLY want these shadows. They seem to always sold out when I go to the site, but I have decided to wait until Imats Toronto to get them. These shadows are just extraordinary! From videos I've seen about them, their multichrome nature is best visible to viewers when placed on the eyes, rather than arm swatches. That curve of the eye is what they need to reveal their glory! Great video ... I loved it ... and loved your example of "just go for it and play/experiment!"

I know this is an unpopular opinion, and that’s okay. I think what cliondah has done is not something to celebrate or elevate. They’ve hyped their very, very expensive products by “gifting” them to influencers, driving up the cost, only to have none in stock to the people who want to purchase them. I’m surprised you didn’t touch on the cost, or the fact that they are SO expensive, after all, your original audience is here for a “beauty budget”. I don’t mean to sound harsh, I just wanted to express my feelings and opinion on this. I’m sure I’m a small, very small percentage who feels this way. The shadows look pretty, but cliondah isn’t a company I’ll be buying from ever
Jennifer Laughton the different types of shadows are different prices. I bought some of the glitter ones and they were only like $8 each. I’ve also only seen them send out a few PR packages in comparison to other brands. I think the gifting can be super helpful because I made my decisions on what to purchase from another person who was gifted them and I was able to know what I was buying. Just to add to the conversation 😊

Sending the entire collection to Shane Dawson? I can easily list several others. The consumer does end up paying for that cost. Then for them to all be out of stock, is just frustrating. And the fact that no one is talking about the cost (on a budget blogger channel), it’s just not a pleasant side of the community as far as I’m concerned. There are bigger issues as well. Just wanted to say how I felt and how these things change how I feel about the company as well as the people I watch.

What Clionadh has done is now pass that cost on to us and run out of stock. No one is talking about that. Anyway, happy Saturday. It’s just makeup, we will all live, lol.
i had no problem with them sending it to smaller channels as they are the ones who usually support small indies and are more articulate in describing things besides "oh it's so pretty~" (which is how i literally describe everything and it isn't helpful haha). my problem was them sending it to shane, who not only has a gigantic audience but also has the funds to purchase the whole collection himself and isn't a beauty blogger nor has shown interest towards indie brands unless they give him more clout (cough j*). and they did all that without the foresight of first expanding and/or streamlining their processes which they already were having issues with (the ridiculously long processing/turnaround time). there was a huge influx of followers to clionadh who had no clue about clionadh or anything surrounding indies and who immediately complained about everything. it all made things feel sort of disingenuous. it was already difficult to get colors that customers wanted before sending it to shane and now it'll get worse. it was a bummer to see shane get his pr first before those who bought the collection when it dropped like it seemed he was taken priority over paying people which to me isn't a good biz practice. if they wanted to send pr, do it before the drop not after a bunch of people paid and are waiting for any updates on their orders. i bought quite a few and i do think they are stunning, but i'm hesitant on whether i want to buy more from them, i might just wait to see how they expand and handle the even bigger influx of orders, or wait for other indies to make something comparable in shine/sparkle/texture because there are some really pretty duo/multichromes out there but the ones from clionadh are especially spectacular so far for me. if they clean up how they are handling their business, i'll support again, but for now, i'll just buy from some other indies
I have followed Clionadh for awhile and they have some beautiful eyeshadow. The stained glass shadow is so pretty on your eyes, very complimentary to your eye color.

I love the 70/80's feel! These eyes make me want to disco! I completely agree with the desire to have a less specific eye look. So much of beauty guru/Instagram eye shadow looks are so kind of strick. I don't have or wear makeup (lol) but I love your channel, and I find your relationship with makeup so interesting and creatively inspiring. These all over the lid looks are almost making me want to try it out myself.
Also, I know others have asked for it in the comments lately, but I would LOVE a full makeup collection tour at some point. I'm so curious to see where your collection is at at the moment.
Clionadh is my fave and the multichromes are just stunning. I already have 8 in my collection with more literally in transit. They are pricey but, imho, completely worth it. I'd rather spend a little more for these than the same amount for a bunch of lesser products. Also, keep an eye out, they do $5 shipping sales here and there (although not usually with product launches) and often offer 20% off their other products with the launch of new products.

I love mine ( jewel colors) . The dark color base doesn’t show on even medium deep skin and makes up for all the color shifting shadows I can’t wear that have stark white bases. They have clear bases on theirs, so I can’t wait to justify more. 🤗 They look great paired with the right neutrals.
wow! these are more amazing than i ever realized. i loved angelica's swatch video. the shadows are absolutely mesmerizing, but as other people have said, i couldn't imagine how the swatches would translate on to the eyes and i couldn't imagine myself making a look with them. i feel like you did a great job of showing how they look and perform on the eyes. i'm living for the grungey dragonfly fairy iridescent oil-spill punched in the face glittery magnificence you've created. i prefer the green/blue/purple eye but that's just because those colors are my jam.

Oh my goodness. I love this. I wish you could do more playtime videos with this collection because seeing how they look with the contours of the eye socket is amazing. That really bright shade gives me Killer Frost vibes. 😂 Can't wait for the swatch video! It's so hard to choose because I only really want 2 or maybe 3. I have to be honest. I’m enjoying the Clionadh (spelling?) eyeshadows as beautiful pieces of makeup. However, I’m not personally interested in them because they just aren’t “me”. I don’t know why. I can’t put my finger on it, but I look at them as a painting that is a beautiful in a museum but I would never want in my home.
HOWEVER, I was very intrigued by the Kevyn Aucoin Foundation release. I’m not a big foundation person, but that whole shebang really had my number. Now that you’ve described it I DEFINITELY am interested in it. It’ll just be a matter of seeing if they have a match for me. TFS as always Hannah!
LOVE these eyeshadows,and all different collours there are in it,and shows up,and reflect.I love the shadows that you used,and I am so curious about the rest of the colours eyeshadow.I realy think that these multichrome eyeshadows fit you so well,Hannah,because you also love grungy looks,and this is so beautifull grungy,all colours are in it,it’s just how the light reflects on a shadow.I would just like you,use this shadow on his own,and give it a little effect with one colour,and I would choose,black,grey or white for that,I think when you would use other colours that it gets to much.I realy LOVE it,it looks so special on you,and again,this is realy a Hannah look.Just using one multiple Chrome colour,and one colour to deepen it.I think that these shadows Will match with all different colours of clothes,also with many colours of lipstick,because all colours of a colourpallet are involved in a way.It feels a little when you own a pallet with all multiple Chrome colours,that you don’t need more other eyeshadows,only when you choose to wear another look,but with these colours you are always in the right direction,and so easy,just use one colour,and a colour to give depth,or to let a multiplechrome shadow fade away.It’s easy to use,and the look is so complex,that it look like you have being bizzy whole morning to create this eyeshadowlook.For me this look is a milliondollar look,it looks fancy,expensive,complicated,and gorgeous because it Will match all your clothes.This is a look that you could easy use on the red carpet,for a very fancy festivity,but it can also look like you just put something on quickly but gorgeous,and also grungy,just depends on which clothes you wear.I am totally brown away by it,and I would love to see more of it Hannah,xoxo wendy❤️
