First, I think this was actually the first time where Kanae had a good amount of English comments that were relevant to him and/or the stream which was nice. :) Next I just wanted to share a few things for any new-coming viewers to Nijisanji streams: 1. The chances of them reading a comment during a collaboration stream (unless they specifically ask for something) are pretty low as they don't want to break the flow of conversation. If the conversation stops they might, but please keep this in mind. 2. Please don't spam the same thing over and over again. Rather than spamming hello, continuing to comment something relevant to the streamer or the stream will have a bigger chance of getting picked up. Japanese speakers who know English will also translate comments they want the streamer to understand. 3. Please do not mention other vtubers' names in chat if they are not in the stream and their name isn't mentioned! It's considered bad manners. If you want to see a certain collab, maybe send a marshmallow or tweet something they'll search for (Most vtubers will search the heck out of their names on Twitter).
Words like “f*cking” aren’t even really considered a bad word in Japan, I feel. I heard there was even a big mall that made banners saying “f*cking sale” cuz they thought it was just a nice english word signifying a superlative
To be fair, I don’t even see Japanese curse words as ‘vulgar’ as I see English curse words. The reason is that I grew up learning how ‘vulgar’ they are unlike Japanese curse words where I just throw them around since they don’t have that much weight for me
