The Commanders are a good team and Jayden Daniels is a future franchise QB, but that being said they are not SB contenders and Philly when healthy is arguably the best team in the NFC. Had Hurts not gotten injured Philly was on pace to drop 40 on them. So many of those drives went 3 and out and ended on 4th and short, I have no doubt that if Hurts is in at least 50% of those get converted to first downs and potentially scoring drives. Like you said, anyone can stop the run if they don't fear the QB. Once Hurts went out Washington completely changed their defense, even the announcers pointed it out, they switched to loading the box and attacking Saquon because they knew Pickett wasn't gonna beat them with his arm. They could never do that with Hurts because he would go over the top with AJ or gash them with a QB draw every time

With the right set of circumstances, the Giants could feasibly beat the Eagles, Lions, or Chiefs even though those circumstances are exceedingly unlikely to occur most game days.

I actually wouldn't be worried if I'm Philadelphia about this rematch if it happens because in the healthy Hurts matchup at home, Eagles controlled that game. They won that game easily where the final score wasn't indicative on how close the game was. In the 2nd game, Hurts was out & it still took until the last 10 seconds basically to beat backup QB Kenny Pickett at home. I don't believe the Eagles would be worried at all because I think for the reasons I stated, they'd think that they'd win without hesitation if Hurts is healthy
First off love the channel! Second, this comes down to the winner telling the story. What went wrong is Hurts creates the opportunities for Barkley to run. When defenses know the back up won’t pull it they can dial in. Easy as that. The defense was winded and although they gave 5 turnovers the ball kept being given back in short spurts. Idk, this loss is very concerning for the defense. They got 5 turnovers, and Washington still put up over 30 plus points. If philly is supposed to be an elite or great team, great teams find a way to win when they are not playing or at their greatest. Like the chiefs and lions, who both have depleted rosters.
Bad take. The defense did everything to keep this game out of reach, and it should have. Philly went 3/16 on 3rd down. They didn’t attempt any 4th and short. They should be wary but not necessarily worried. I think the biggest issue was that game winning drive, the defense had no answer for JD5 and psychologically that may be damaging to them. They may play tight and conservative, overthinking, and end up giving up more points than usual. But I think the Eagles could score 40 with Hurtz and Barkley at 100%.
Double Carter , and run away from him for the first 2 quarters, then mix it up in the second half. You have to make them think. Do this, and the run game would be more effective . Also, I would play Jalen like we played against KP . I don't think Jalen would have challenged Lattimore the way Pickett did. Pickett had nothing to lose by being that aggressive, while I do think Hurts a little more conservative.
I agree and disagree, Jalen Hurts not playing makes a HUGE difference. The coaches need to adjust types of run plays, shotgun run is too obvious. Eagles fans saying they couldn't sustain drives and defense wore out, WELL that's a lie. Eagles had the ball for 12 minutes more than Washington. Smith did drop the ball, that would have won the game, but Was had 5 turnovers, they had 9 all year long going into the game, more than double their yearly total. What impact would no making those types of mistakes, BTW which is worse a dropped pass or a turnover. With that all said, Eagles have the best roster in football and #1 defense, top rushing offense. Just about every game they should be favorite, concerned about playing Was again but not scared.

Yes the eagles should worry. The reason is obvious because this a division opponent that you have faced off with twice already so they have the most amount of film on you and can create a better gameplay than last time simply because they got to see a different side of this eagles offense.

The redskins had 6 turnovers including the turnover on downs early. The passing game didn’t miss a beat by Jalen being out. Yea there were mishaps but so, redskins had them too. Redskins strapped up Barkley and forced passes. Eagles still managed to score 26 after hurts left. Ya couldn’t close the game out even after JD throw his last pick. That was his best punch. It took a 12 man in the field plenty leaving a man wide open(TD), a fake roughing the passer(leads to TD), and he threw a potential game ending INT. If Jalen plays we are having a completely different conversation on Jayden Daniels. In the first half he was below average.

That's not the point, of course they wont be "as productive" but still this is what is suppose to be the best O-line in the league and Barkley is suppose to be the MVP top running back in the league. not even 2 yards a carry is really good defense. He had a 20 run in the first and that 68 in the second. Those 2 carries are 88 of his over all yards. That means for the whole game not just after the back up QB came in, the other 27 carries he got 62 that's 2.3 per. For D that's only 25th against the run they really played well here.

When you got one of them ones like Jayden Daniels is proving he is you always have a chance. The thing about JD5 is he elevates those around him and if you want to play that what if game you put JD5 on the Eagles team I think they could maybe be undefeated but at the least heavy Super Bowl favorites. I can't wait til this off season and Adam Peters(AP) gets another FA and draft to really build a team around JD5 that's when the Commanders are going to be real contenders because this year they are way ahead of schedule because they aren't suppose to be in this spot yet. What before the season I think the over/under for wins for them was 6.5 and well we know that is been taken care of so right now they are playing with house money and just watch all the FA's that will want to play with JD5 and will maybe take just a little less to play with him and plus Washington has all kinds of cap space to play with so it won't have to be budget shopping if they want a player also. And I think AP has shown he is a very good talent evaluator with this team and in SF,Denver and all the way back with the Pats so this draft is going to be huge for them also. So the future is bright and anything that happens this year is frosting on the cake just like that ROTY trophy that JD5 will have right next to the Heisman.

I actually wouldn't be worried if I'm Philadelphia about this rematch if it happens because in the healthy Hurts matchup at home, Eagles controlled that game. They won that game easily where the final score wasn't indicative on how close the game was. In the 2nd game, Hurts was out & it still took until the last 10 seconds basically to beat backup QB Kenny Pickett at home. I don't believe the Eagles would be worried at all because I think for the reasons I stated, they'd think that they'd win without hesitation if Hurts is healthy
First off love the channel! Second, this comes down to the winner telling the story. What went wrong is Hurts creates the opportunities for Barkley to run. When defenses know the back up won’t pull it they can dial in. Easy as that. The defense was winded and although they gave 5 turnovers the ball kept being given back in short spurts. They should be wary but not necessarily worried. I think the biggest issue was that game winning drive, the defense had no answer for JD5 and psychologically that may be damaging to them. They may play tight and conservative, overthinking, and end up giving up more points than usual. But I think the Eagles could score 40 with Hurtz and Barkley at 100%.

Double Carter , and run away from him for the first 2 quarters, then mix it up in the second half. You have to make them think. Do this, and the run game would be more effective . Also, I would play Jalen like we played against KP . I don't think Jalen would have challenged Lattimore the way Pickett did. Pickett had nothing to lose by being that aggressive, while I do think Hurts a little more conservative.

I agree and disagree, Jalen Hurts not playing makes a HUGE difference. The coaches need to adjust types of run plays, shotgun run is too obvious. Eagles fans saying they couldn't sustain drives and defense wore out, WELL that's a lie. Eagles had the ball for 12 minutes more than Washington. Smith did drop the ball, that would have won the game, but Was had 5 turnovers, they had 9 all year long going into the game, more than double their yearly total. That's not the point, of course they wont be "as productive" but still this is what is suppose to be the best O-line in the league and Barkley is suppose to be the MVP top running back in the league. not even 2 yards a carry is really good defense. He had a 20 run in the first and that 68 in the second. Those 2 carries are 88 of his over all yards. That means for the whole game not just after the back up QB came in, the other 27 carries he got 62 that's 2.3 per. For D that's only 25th against the run they really played well here.
