A short hike up Benaquhallie and Red Hill

  • At 494 metres Benaquhallie is the highest peak on the Corrennie Moor, which stands midway between Deeside and Strathdon.
    It's a nice enough little walk but nothing super inspiring. Always glad to be out and exploring a different corner of Aberdeenshire though.

    This did look a really nice walk and one I know Mrs Metalman would love, not too high and not steep. Really liked the colours in the sky and the real moody clouds at the end, cheers Alan

      It was definitely a nice wintery walk and yeah fairly gentle in most places. We didn't go this time but there are a couple of fairly visible hut circles in a nearby field. Always a nice added extra! ☺️

      I don't know! 🤦🏻‍♀️ I thought I'd seen pronunciation a breakdown somewhere, but now I can't find it...maybe that's one of the reasons I chose to say nothing!
