Silverwing is such a sweetiepie I love her already. Episode was epic an all, probably my fave of this season. Finale is gonna be crrraaazy, defo staying up til 2am for it, screw sleep schedule! 🤣
She so sweet and playful, especially compared to the other dragons closer to her age!
I've been staying up to 2am for the episodes each week too, I actually booked every Monday off work for the duration of the season 😂

Thanks for the shout out! and yeah I had a chuckle when he indeed was just going after Vhagar 😂. I'm fascinated by the dragonkeepers too, Ryan Condell said they had to change the elaborate armor described in the books because of simple budget reasons, but it I think it works they come off more monastic than militaristic. Wonder if the keepers in KL would also view Rhaenyra as a blasphemer? I wish you good fortune in your war against technology.

They are a fascinating group! Like are the dragonkeepers on Dragonstone a separate group/sect/splinter to those in King's Landing, or are they supposed to be "impartial" to politics and act as envoys in either location from one larger collective? And if so, will these keepers defect to King's Landing? Or will they return upon hearing silverwing and vermithor have also been claimed and there and new dragonriders in need of training? So many lines of inquiry🤔
@@SinXerxes yeah maybe the dragons acceptance of Ulf and Hugh will simply be enough to get the keepers back on side, there is plenty to ponder about them though, The dragonpit in Kingslanding isn't that old so maybe they're like a newer branch of the Dragonstone sect that's been around since Valyria? Jaehaerys just makes them an officially recognized order later on? A lot to ponder on for people who basically stand in the background in most scenes. Some stuff from episode 8 leaked already, Did you see it? or just happy to wait a few more days for the whole pie?

Yes, unfortunately, I've seen some spoilers just from going on twitter (bc I have a twitter specifically for asoiaf, so naturally, it was flooded). But I've avoided it since, I'd rather hold judgement til I see the full official episode.

Not sure how the season finale will go but this episode to me is the climax of season 2. Syrax & Seasmoke chatting it up, Vermy getting a free buffet/rider & Silverwing being the sweetest girl in the whole show LOL. The way she booped Ulf was just like how Sunfyre did to Aegon a few episodes back. They've really done a great job on showing the bond between the riders and their dragons.
Also, I'm purposely trying not to read ahead but I always make it a rule of thumb not to get too attached to any of the characters in this universe.
@Gintello9 the amount of quality dragon screen time we got this episode was so satisfying, but it looks like we have some good dragontime in the finale too!
They really gave vermithor the most immense hellish fury, just to make his paramore and mated pairing such a sweet and playful girl who just wanted a little buddy to play with, I adore her

Silverwing is definitely the good queen's dragon. Alyssane was said to love the small folk and the highborn alike and Silver took on those qualities of her former rider. I personally love aemond and Vhagar bc I was spoiled on his story arc but silver and Ulf won my heart.
I had to know every single detail in game of thrones and it was only the fact that GRRM hadn't finished the story that kept me from reading on. Just getting to enjoy hotd for what it is makes every episode so much better!

It's so interesting to look at the dragon and rider traits now that we have a little more relationship building and character understanding. Our girl silverwing is truly a hero of the proletariat (at this stage, we'll not speculate on future actions) we love her😂

Glad Team Black has some wins. The Three huge dragons at the end, amazing. Hits at team Green were rough.
Frantically looking at a search of Ice and Fire and the wikis, Sigil watch is the way. House Vance's branches representing Team Green and Black by absolute coincidence, not George's intention. The Dornish of House Toland liked to represent a dragon defeating itself, though green so as not to directly insult Targaryens.
Was a really fun episode with the dragons Shrek, How to Train your Dragon and Smaug not far off.

Sigil watch might be my favourite segment on these videos, you know. It's interesting the green dragon defeating itself. Given that Aegon's banners are emblazoned with the gold dragon representing Sunfyre, Aemond would definitely have taken the green dragon on his banner given the opportunity, from his Hightower mother and the mother-monster Vhagar🐉
@@SinXerxes I saw the shield of Vance of Wayfarers rest.Thanks, the Toland dragon is biting its tail. Till they were under the yolk of the Seven Kingdoms they could portray dragons. I wonder does Daeron have a blue dragon lighting the fire of the Hightower or just flies his Grandfather and mothers banner . I do like that Aegon solely represents his best boy
@shaneoconnell9279 did you see the House Vance (of WR) banners in the trailer? I missed them if so, but theirs are gorgeous, so eerie.
And yes, the oroboros imagery gets me every time!
Banners w Hightower on green as far as the eye can see, but miss Tessarion deserves her pretty self to be on a sigil!
@@SinXerxes Yeah I jumped ahead to look at the preview, some recaps begin with it.I saw the shield i should say. Cant wait to see the pennant flags and the banners. Love the eyes and the dragons. House Vance sounds magical too.

@shaneoconnell9279 ah yes! I just went back and seen the soldier running with the Vance sheild at 0.17 when Syrax flies over the riverland forces. Their sigil and house alike seem mystical indeed✨️
It is quite humorous, ironic even, seeing them run from the dragon when they have 2 on the sheild they hold!

I thought i would like the vid and then i saw that you choose your favourite dragons based on gender. Male dragons are all beautiful so the fact that you compliment only the female ones is definitely sexist.
Stormcloud is fully a male dragon, listed as one of my favourites.

Also x2 I've mentioned in most of my videos that moondancer is my favourite bc of the dragon design, the brindled patter & mohawk spikes
@@SinXerxes I know you like moondancer that's not the problem but you said every time you see a female dragon you immediately become a fan and you complemented so much silverwing and tessarion but i don't think you said anything about vermithor which shows you choose your favourite based on their gender.
Calling somebody sexist for complimenting the design of she-dragons is one of the most internet-brain-rot things I've ever heard lol
