- The fsociety hack succeeded, throwing the world into chaos and gathering cheering crowds throughout the city. fsociety encrypts their data and covers their tracks.

Elliot's psychiatrist meets her former boyfriend, whom Elliot hacked and forced to break up with her. He tries to persuade her to help the police arrest Elliot, but she refuses. Elliot wakes up alone in Tyrell's SUV three days after the conclusion of the previous episode, with no memory of those two days. E Corp is readying an emergency TV interview. The E Corp EVP of Technology commits suicide on TV after stating that the situation is hopeless. Elliot talks to Mr. Robot again and asks about Tyrell's location. He visits Tyrell's address but finds only Joanna, introducing himself as "Ollie". The episode ends with Elliot opening his apartment door; the visitor is not seen. In a post-credits scene, Whiterose, dressed as a man, and Phillip Price, the CEO of E Corp, are shown conversing at a formal event where Price indicates he "knows who's responsible".

It all makes sense now, after the ending.
This show is just an effing masterpiece...many shows starts adding crazy stuff and in the end it's terrible because nothing makes sense , side stories get forgotten etc.
Mr.Robot seems basically written one point to the other, everything was planned since the first episode. A true work of art cinematographycally and story wise....

On the first episode where Elliot rides with Mr. Robot on the wheel, the camera briefly cuts to where Angela's marriage place was supposed to be. Elliot is seen looking there as well.
I think the whole speech was a cover up on the fact he slipped and said the truth
"You're not real"
"And what? You are?"
Oh the foreshadowing
Ugh right?! There was so much foreshadowing I watched it again to see. Sam Esmail told us from the start what was happening.

I don’t think so I think he meant it differently cause aren’t the atoms we’re made up of filled with nothing? Idk but I don’t think he meant it how you think. That wouldn’t make sense because why was Elliot confused about the real him in s4? Mr robot doesn’t work like that that’s way too much for Elliot to take in at this point in the series

The Times Square here always struck me as a green screened in, but it turns out they actually shot the scene on location. Pretty meta, considering they argue about what is real.

Judging by the way this show plays with its visuals, I wouldn't be surprised if that was intentional. Still though, I was thinking the same thing haha
I think it's interesting that seeing Times Square completely empty was impactful and jarring -- it's never completely empty like that. Then Covid happened and it was empty in real life.

Man, Mr.Robot's speech is not an acting, that's the truth ladies and gentlemen, take it or leave it, he was just spitting facts. One of the most iconic scenes in TV history.

This part introduced me to one of my recent favourite band, Alabama shakes. Sound & colour is an incredible song, and how it was implemented in the scene was beautiful.

Something I just realized, (Spoilers if you haven't seen season 4)
Is the voice underneath Mr. Robot's at 1:46 the real Elliot? All of the other personalities are present in this scene. Did they already have that plot twist figured out and this was just foreshadowing?
I've been subcribed for some time now, but to my awareness other shows don't do this kind of thing on RUclips. So it begs the question, whats the bigger plan here? Because there has to be one, and I'm excited for it lol.

For anyone who's curious - yes, all of this was shot on location in Times Square. None of this is green screen or CGI, especially when Elliot is all alone in Times Square. Having lived in NYC myself during the years this show was made, Times Square really does get that empty at night sometimes, and it's fucking _haunting_ .
