OT vs. Family

As an OT, I love working with patients and their families! Every once in awhile, though, we'll get those family members who just don't seem to get it. This is, of course, a gross exaggeration of those instances. Enjoy!

Do you have one for handwriting for school based OT? Teachers and parents want us to work on handwriting until they age out or graduate.

That's right! I finally got out of schools after 23 years. Noone wanted to listen to me. They'd down play writing when it came to my recommendations for teacher follow through. Yet didn't want to have me dismiss students because of lack of progress!

Would be nice to somehow also hear some solutions!?
Otherwise peoples client system will think the therapist will restrict them from doing things - but as OT you work WITH not AGAINST client and client system?!?
