Yes, I have a very important question. How is it possible that I’ve only found out about Evergrey only last year, when Henrik was a guest of Ola Englund at ‘Coffee with Ola”? Must say that finding out about your music added another dimension to my life, thanks 😊 My question is where do you guys take inspiration to write such masterpieces? Also, how many fans have you got in Poland? All the best in the future, look forward to your new music! Cheers!
How did your begin learning to sing and play? Do you have to place lyrics strategically with/around riffs to make compromises between the singing and playing? With what strategies do you approach the placement of the two in writing? I can't wrap my head around it, especially when it's clean singing where you have to use tone and pitch in your voice while focusing on a song/riff.
I have two questions (hope thats not too greedy) 1. What are your 5 favorite songs that you don't play live? 2. Which of those 5 would you want to play live if possible?
1. Your guitar-playing (guitar-work) is phenomenal, and I wonder if it was the interest (and achieved skills) in playing that made you want to write songs or did your song-writing-interest drive your skill-progression? 2. Do you and Henrik learn from one another, or is the focus nowadays 100% on the songwriting? (perhaps no need to progress when you already have the skills on that leverl of playing?) 3. Have you ever had a song-idea in your head, that forced you to become better on the guitar in order to be able to match what you envisioned in your head?
Today and early tomorrow I’m compiling your questions and will most likely post answers to them tomorrow night, so there is still a little bit of time for more questions 😊
Can you explain the backstory between the track End Of Silence? How did you come up with such an incredible atmosphere? You guys are a godsend!! thank you so much!
As it's been already said, the song is called The Essence Of Conviction. Talking about that album, I feel like there's a continuation of the In Search of Truth album concept. So here's my question(s) that I've been dreaming about to ask you for many years. 1) Your attitude (relationship) to religion, past and present, 2) Have you ever had any sort of OBE (out of body experience) 3) Circles and triangles.. what do they mean to you? Thank you! :)
I've really enjoyed everything youve done as a guest musician outside of Evergrey. What was the most enjoyable for you and would you want to play with that artist again? Also, would you want to sing with Avantasia? I think you'd be perfect for many songs.
I wonder about your creative process. When you come up with new songs, do you have a method to come up with material that sounds different from what you've done in the past, and does a lot of effort go into comparing your current ideas to your back catalogue?
Tom, the band has gone through line up changes, and by far the current line up is the most solid. Have previous writing and perspective or direction caused these changes to occur?
Do you have a song that you were proud of at the time you wrote it but now you're like "What was I thinking?!"? :) Also, which is your favourite Redemption song from the album you're on and from their past catalogue. Please play Ambassador on your next live album! Thanks!
Of course! I may rephrase it a little bit, as you already said that you like and enjoy and are proud of all the songs you did, but some things might have changed over time. I'm always curious how an artist views back their work, and with that how they view themselves in the past. How they might reimagine something if they were composing the same thing in the present. Much love from Bulgaria!
It's probably a basic question but I'm curious about which song is the hardest to perform live from let's say Hymns for the Broken, The Storm Within, or The Atlantic? I feel like between playing guitar and singing your answer may be quite different than the other members.
If you don't want to get into it, that's totally understandable, but what happened with Jackson? It felt like you were back with Caparison in a blink of an eye after you switched.
Thanks for taking the time to make these videos. Here's my question: What happened to the book deal you got around the time of Hymns for the Broken? Still being worked on?
How personal are your lyrics? Is there a song from Evergrey that feels emotionally heavy for you to play/sing? Which one? Thank you so much for your art. ❤️
Teach us how to play this s*it, we cannot go outside 😁 Whats the story behind still in the water? Memories of shows in Croatia? Stay safe man! Love from Croatia

For whatever reason, what are your least favorite Evergrey songs?😂
Great news. I can hear you talk all day Tom. So where exactly do we post the question? Here in the comment section of this video? Facebook?
It would be so cool if Tom answered this one on the video :D
If you don't want to get into it, that's totally understandable, but what happened with Jackson? It felt like you were back with Caparison in a blink of an eye after you switched.
Can you talk about the how you came to be a Caparison and Bogner artist? Why you chose them and how the relationship began. Please. 😊🤙🦈🐧
That Caparison is sexy! Btw I think you're a super underrated guitarist

Do you consider playing 7 strings songs live again at some point, like Fear, one of my favs?
SilverFox it’s not a 7 string ;)
Tom Englund haha crap! I thought the whole Torn album was on 7 strings. My bad! Then please play Fear live again! 🙏🏻
When will the writing process for the next album begin? And can you guys film it please?
Tom, do you have a lot of guitars and many are your signature guitar but the question is, do you have one favorite guitar and tell us the reason?
Any cool or scary story behind the lyrics of one of your songs?
Teach us how to play this s*it, we cannot go outside 😁 Whats the story behind still in the water? Memories of shows in Croatia? Stay safe man! Love from Croatia
