@camilledevalk make sure its 2000W RMS and not 2000W peak power. most companies and retailers sell speakers and amps by saying wow it has 2000w power handling for example and unless you find out if its rms or peak you could end up with a an amp that may only be able to handle 750w continuous power output, Now to answer your question Setting your speakers to parallel will drop your 8 Ohm speakers to 4Ohms so yes it would work with your amp because you are essentially halving the wattage.
@Alexvlastaras It is series not serial. I used to build sound systems so trust me he's right. It's called "in series" because one is connected after another.
I've been told that most clubs simply use a mono signal, as if someone is standing closer to a specific speaker, then you'll end up hearing that "side" more. Is this recommended, and how would you output mono if so?
So. I have an amplifier that will bring me 2000W @ 4 Ohms (bridged mode) and I will set the 8 Ohms speakers parallel, then the speakers will be 1000W? Or do I see it wrong? P.S. excuse me for my english, i'm from Holland.
you should try running a CPD4800 AMP in bridge mono for 1 x sub @4ohms you get 4800watt peak and crazy headroom. This is the Wharfedale recommended setup for that sub
Try bridging those MP2800's and running one on each Delta 218B, you are under driving the hell out of them with two of those subs per amp. They are absolutely fantastic subs by the way! Thanks for the video!
You need to invest in a little light for ontop of your camera. Or at least a torch. A little hard to see the back of the speakers and the amps. Good info btw!
I do appreciate the info and I'm not trolling or anything. However, unless I've misunderstood your video, you are saying that you can connect 4 mid-top DELTA 15's to a bridged mono amp? You cannot do that. Adding 4x 8ohm speakers in parallel results in a 2 ohm load. When you bridge an amp, obviously you combine the outputs of each channel in reverse polarity. This is why manufacturers say you can not put a 2 ohm load on a bridged amp, as each channel will see a 1ohm load, and will go boom!
@JBLisbetter we have 1 x delta 218X subs and a Wharfedale CPD4800 Amp. What setup would get the best performance. Im guessing to run the sub on mono bridge for the amp to provide 4800W RMS at 4 Ohms???
@agoodm The electricity has two easy paths to go through instead of just one easy path.

Why is the resistance halved when parralleled?

You should add setting your amps based on the speakers rated voltage, that is the best way to match the amps to sub.

Hey Bro
Iv got Two active speakers and how do i get a active sub it there?
Please respond
Do the subs need external crossovers
yes
hey ellaskins, have you studied any career ? im interested to know it :D
nice wouldn't mind a set up like this

this is useful for everyone who deals with music equipment setup )
@camilledevalk ja daar komt het op neer...
sick , i needed this . thanks :D
Serial* not Series... nice vid anyway :D
Nice! More vids like this
meow
@Mofosvids oh ok then
Basic electronics :)
