Great tutorial as always. Love how you called out the drama that surrounded the UV industry.

Great video and good advice for any tier getting into the streamer game and wants to play around with UV. I’ve used all of the products you mentioned or showed, and all are rock solid performers when it comes to “finish work”, so great advice man. Thanks for sharing the light link as well. Don’t know how I missed this when it was first uploaded and posted.

Gorilla Glue clear is an adhesive I use as a coating. I put it on foam poppers to cover markings eyes, etc. It dries clear as glass, flexible, and leaves a good glossy finish. So far I haven't encountered problems in water or sun. Mike in Florida

Glad you mentioned the yellowing with epoxy. I used epoxy for years and it yellowed every time. Worked great though...

    Great video.
I totally agree that you have a big advantage if you have worked with epoxy before uv-resins.
I’ve worked with epoxy long before good uv-resins hit the market, and even then I still used epoxy for most of my work. It takes time to learn how to handle the viscosity of epoxy and resins and it’s better to master epoxy and than try uv-resins.
It’s not until the last years I’ve started to use uv-resins for most of my streamer work.
    Thanks for the video!

I started using epoxy when Bob Popovics first introduced Surf Candies. I stopped tying when I was no longer able to fish about 8 years ago. Upon getting back to tying last year, I found out about & started using UV resins for tying. What a relief. There are lots of useful adhesives/glues/silicones that are useful to me for tying, but epoxy is something I won’t use again. The wait, having to get things done on a time limit & the yellowing eliminate any interest in having it on my desk.

Great video! My current UV light uses batteries and for some reason my rechargeable battery stopped working; so I've been using regular ones. It's definitely been getting expensive. Anyways, I appreciate the share, I'm definitely going to buy the light.

So Gunnar, have you given up on Tear Mender? Solarez is awesome stuff. If you have other resin needs, like boats, they are awesome. If you need tech advice the owner will call you back, he's usually busy when you call. Keep the good stuff coming buddy.

I'll throw another glue in the mix lol. I don't think Gunnar ties many poppers, but if you are going to tie poppers and paint them with sharpies/copic/airbrush paint the options are generall 30 minute epoxy, loon hard head (good on hard foam), loon soft head (good on soft foam), ORRRR what I've recently found after talking with guys on Instagram- is Liquid Fusion. It is easier to work with than 30 minute epoxy, and doesn't dry tacky unlike loon soft head. Let the markers dry well before applying- if the paint is fresh it can smudge. Didn't find that with airbrush paint which is what I use.
Question Gunnar- I notice you didn't include Tear Mender, no longer using it? I was using it for wool heads for gluing eyes on but the bottles dry up if you aren't using it often.

Solarez resins are great and once you have them, you use them for loads of things - thin hard for stopping the glass falling out of a broken phone screen, flex for repairing cuts in fly line coatings ect

What happen to the UV Light link along with the UV Resins. Was going to order both of them tonight and I can not find the information. Was it taken down because of the negative comments?

@@BAK_Visuals It's pretty silly question, when the person who has had good results is the guy who's video you watched and who recommended it in the first place lol.
