    Mmmm, I sure do miss the days when my buddies and I would go to Lake of the Woods fishing. There's nothing like finding a small island and cooking some freshly caught Walleye in the pan. Throw a few cans of beans on the fire and another pan with some fried potatoes with onions mixed in. OMFG was that ever the best! of course these look pretty good too, they make my mouth water. LOL.

    We eat a lot of walleye in Northern NY in the 1000 Islands (near Lake Ontario). Our legions have it w yellow perch (also excellent).

    Lake of the Woods, one of the most beautiful places on earth and where I spent many summer days of my youth. Best recipes come from the place where the fish is caught fresh out of the water.

    I never understood why they always have to put a piece of lettuce under the fish. If I want a sald I'll make one, instead of a hot piece of soggy lettuce. Geez.

    Most Minnesota video ever made. The kitchen supplies were all bought at Target and the video equipment at Best Buy. They should show this at Target Field 7th Inning Stretches, then the whole stadium can go sack Lindisfarn.

    You do know cooking with canola is very bad right?

    • @MidwestOutdoorsTV
      @MidwestOutdoorsTV  2 года назад +1

      How so? As the most popular cooking oil used, i'm sure everyone would like to hear your expertise on why it is so bad.

    • @MidwestOutdoorsTV
      @MidwestOutdoorsTV  2 года назад +1

      In fact the Mayo Clinic says quite the opposite, "Canola oil is also low in saturated fat and has a high proportion of monounsaturated fat, which makes it a healthy and safe choice when it comes to cooking oils."
