  • With Sonoma Garbage Collectors getting more attention by the second, I figured it be best to get this video out sooner rather than later and before it became over filmed. Here we have the inventor of the Curotto, Mr. John Curotto! When I went to Temelec I first got there around 4:30 in the morning and actually had to wait in route for trucks to show up. The first one that showed up was this 2008 WXLL Bridgeport. I thought for sure John was going to be in a Half/Pack but to see it was a Frontier, I was actually even more excited to film this truck. Now since this was the first truck I found and since I've heard that Sonoma finishes early, I immediately started filming even though it was dark and gloomy, so apologies if the quality isn't up too par. Considering he's the man who invented the thing, I thought he operated very well and enjoyed the lid flips here and there. It was a pleasure to meet John and definitely wouldn't mind filming this truck again, hopefully when there's more light out. Enjoy!

Awesome video! Always nice to see SGC in action. It’s amazing to me that the Curotto Can was invented right here in NorCal and I didn’t figure that out until a couple years ago. 😂 John sure operates his invention well.

Awesome! Love the curroto can and love how they operate, especially when it gets darker in the night makes for some good garbage trucks shots. Great work!

Awesome video!! Wonderful to see more of John in action, I still think it's sick that Curotto's came from just up North in Cali. He certainly does operate well lol, seems like the carts for YW and Garbage can be a little confusing at times with color and type. Great work Stevie!!

Thank you! Yeah the colors are sorta confusing, but by 2026 that’ll change lol. Thanks again, glad you enjoyed!
