Ahhh yes the Gatling plasma, absolutely love them! But I feel you. It’s feeling a lot more comfortable to use now. Not sure why but I like the changes that were made.
I mean it is usable I guess but needing to wait some seconds until the enemy burns to death is still awful in my opinion. It should kill enemies as fast as in expeditions.
You can still destroy expeditions , you don’t stand around waiting for them to die, you fire and forget , move on to more targets and everything dies , they still take the burn damage while your not watching them 😂
@@jeromea412 or, I could scrap my cremator and pull out one of the above guns and be good all the time. Like I'm sure many players will. And that's kinda sad since it was well liked and this change was mostly unwanted.

I understand what you mean. Cremator can definitely still manage very well against bosses but it does require a bit of buffs. Have you tried out a Crit Gatling plasma? It's fairly easy to maintain with coffees and can hit really hard against our current bosses.
@@nickkehhtv I preferred a weapon that didn't need a lot of buffs from external sources to do well (Any weapon would do well if you can buff it up like that). @@Junkzillabox ahh I understand. I feel that as well. It was fun while it lasted though. I hope that any future weapons we’ll see more like that, weapons that don’t need much buffs and such to perform well.
The real damage comes from crits, this is why the Fixer performs so well; so, giving us the DoT was not appreciated in any form. If DoTs could stack things might be different; but, they don’t; so, effectively, it feels like they finally came out with a Heavy weapon that could compete with Commando and then took it from us for no discernible reason- I assume because Todd Howards favourite weapon is the Fixer. If they decided to nerf the Fixer and Nuka Launcher too I wouldn’t complain, weapon rebalancing is fine; but, this just feels like taking our options away and giving us a flavor weapon if we happen to think it looks cool.
I agree. Although the damage does seem to be somewhat decent still with a full build but it definitely was great before this change. I would love to see a complete meta change. Personally I don’t use the fixer because it’s too hyped up. But for good reason. Maybe in the future we’ll see some more changes and maybe a shift in the meta?
@@nickkehhtvMe too. I see a lot of “what is napalm even for” and “napalm is useless”, but who wants to wait 12 seconds for the full effect of slow-brining anyway? Even in a long fight, you are just updating that DoT. It doesn’t stack. 🤷

I couldn’t even tell there was a nerf to it lol. But that’s probably because I’m a full health tank build that just uses a mess of everything more for fun. IMO the cremator is still too overpowered in my case because against most enemies it still kills anything faster than every other heavy gun I use. But maybe this means my explosive weapons are still viable and my gauss minigun is better for bosses. So yeah its damage is crazy because it clearly doesn’t require ANY DAMAGE INVESTMENT for its DoT mod to still wreck most enemies quickly. And that’s how I roll…use whatever weapon is clearly best for base kind of damage and find a good legendary since I do no vats or even much in the way of perks too. I just have my three tier 1 heavy gunner perks and demo expert while I focus more in tanking and carrying everything under the sun for both ammo and healing.
Haha this is awesome! Unique playstyle and you are right about the investment for the DoT. You can definitely push the DoT a bit more but for AoE clearing or tagging its way overkill.
