Hooray, more Final Girl! I was hoping you would play it for Halloween. Slight correction: the boiler room reveal is not a single damage, it's an attack by Dr. Fright. Which means it would be up to the current damage from the bloodlust track, but you can also defend against it normally, so the trashcan lid would be useful, for instance. Also, when a final health is revealed, the current phase immediately ends (both for the killer's as well as the final girl's final health token). It simulates the moment when a character is walking away, thinking their adversary is dead, but they come back to life instead. On the plus side, you can have as much time as you are able to get during the planning phase, you're not limited to the 12 printed on the board. Good job, anyway! Very cinematic ending! Happy Halloween!
Thanks for the rules checks. I knew about the pause when hitting the final health, not sure how I forgot it again after realizing it. That's good to know about the boiler room attacks though, would definitely up the difficulty a bit.
Well said about Hans/Camp Happy Trails being fun but not exciting. It's unfortunate that it has to be the one everybody ever plays first, but it's also necessary to learn the basics. Dr. Fright might indeed be the easiest killer on series 1. If you want a challenge, try the Poltergeist. Boy, is that one hard. As for more twists on the formula, series 2 has the Alien homage (Into the Void) and the The Thing homage (Panic at Station 2891), which both add a lot of rules and considerably change the way the game plays. I mean, a spaceship and an Arctic base cannot feel too much like a summer camp or a little town, can't they? But my absolute favorite is the insane asylum from Madness in the Dark. Excited to see you play more Final Girl on the channel, I'm always eager for more Final Girl content and I've become a regular of yours now!
