今年啱啱過嚟, 讀緊master. 一開頭都係好似你咁認真讀, 每個禮拜都有海量嘅assignment, 但係後尾發現, 啲prof都唔會認真改啲assignmnet, 上堂都係hea教, 就好似你咁放棄. 因為知道自己都唔會喺依個master度gain到啲咩, 純粹係一張ticket for自己以後係依邊生活.
真呀 改變自己心態好好多🤞🏻
來自印度的人是最懶的，在真實的工作世界中，佢哋十分懶， 佢哋什麼都不想做，佢哋會告訴你你要同佢哋做。I work for a big bank in Toronto Canada, I deal with the bank's internal different departments, 印度的人是最懶的 freeriders!
yes 唔想歧視 但係大部分freerider都係印度人🫣

HKer's are very hard working people and please stay strong and don't let those free riders take advantage of you.

上唔上心其實好睇PROFESSOR同埋同學仔 ,同埋本身個科係咪水泡。
老實講一定好多人讀書都係抱住一個過渡期既心態。
有GROUP PROJECT的話,認真你便輸了。趁呢個機會學識點樣唔好咁認真,放鬆D

Glad to see that you are adjusting/ adapting to it and focus on your goal (PR !!😀). IMHO, your professor is correct in some sense. In workplaces, there are many free riders and good at presenting themselves too. Have you read the book or seen the movie 鹿鼎記 ?

我間U D 教授都幾好，有熱誠同教到幾多野，但我一個香港同學仔都冇
一開頭都幾難適應（太耐冇讀書），慢慢習慣番個節奏，去到學期尾已經習慣曬
MASTER 要求自學多過佢教，同埋比我預期要寫多好多文 ，又學左幾多自己冇掂過GE 野
到依家唯一仲適應緊GE 係開PARTY 係咁俾人隊同醉左之後覺得英文好難講🤣🤣🤣

It depends on the professor. One professor added an extra member to the team to offload the work when he received complaint from a team member. Professors want students to resolve their own conflicts.
With the new IRCC rule, international students, who were in Canada on 7th Oct 2022 with work permit, can work fulltime from 11/15/2022 to 12/31/2023. For some, earning money is more important than completing group projects.
Our professor didn't help us :(
@@Vitti.in.Canada My professor told me that this is life. He wants us to resolve our own conflicts. Usually, after 1-2 years, you should know the smart hardworking students from the bad (i.e., reputation spreads fast). You should try to form teams with the good students.
Even people from Hong Kong can be a freerider 平時番學就遲到 做project 問一句佢可以幫手做咩就算 基本上冇乜做過野 要交project既時候就走出黎指指點點 扮到唔志在分數

if studying is getting boring just try to make the best of it and make new friends with people around you to fill the void. In the international community within the unviersitiy , you'll see tons of students who are like that in group projects , I can relate cause i've been through that pain as well. good on you for pushing through and I hope you make it to the end and get your PR. Im actually going to be flying to vancouver from HK next year , so if you dont mind , would you mind telling me how you rented your place and what website you used ? and whether there are any particular things a fellow hongkonger should know about when coming over.
I met some good people here, feeling blessed🥺

free rider 的問題，我以前都遇過這些人，我決定自己開通宵，做哂所有的工作。一份功課算什麼？這樣做可以顯示你的能力及駕馭局勢的功力。你現在讀學位，是學習搞好人際關係，為你自己將來鋪路，他們是free riders，但他們也可能為你提供機會或重要資訊，當有機會來到時，他們會想起你的工作能力，把你升一把！第二次世界大戰的歐洲盟軍元帥Eisenhower，在西點軍校只是考21名；平定太平天國的曾國藩，如果不是走後門，差點中不到進士。加拿大老華僑常說，‘’不要說你今天幫了他，花花世界幾拾年 很大機會，在將來，他回來幫你。‘’
至於學校的講師，教材不佳的問題，你現在是讀學位，不是中學的spoon feeding，應該就有關問題，走進圖書館看看是否有論文曾經討論過這些問題 各地的法律如果何規範等等。牛頓發現萬有引力，是誰教他呢？

Too many Chinese students are getting perfect scores in their SAT. Harvard had to subtract 250 points arbitrarily from their applications to allow students of other races to get in. The case went to US Supreme Court; and the Chinese students won. Many universities changed their admission policies; they don't look at SAT or ACT scores any more.

Then decided NOT TO cause she seemed really clueless about higher educations in Canada and I didn't really want to waste time lecturing her on said subject matter as it is really not my business. After all she just graduated recently. Why put a wet blanket on her body?

Let me be blunt - you obviously don't know jack squat of what you are talking about. First of all, you went to any REAL UNIVERSITY in the States or Canada? You have an undergrad from any of the top 25-30 ish university in N.A? Or you have a master from here?
You have a useless degree or some advanced professional, technical or engineering degree? Like Electrical Engineering? AeroSpace? Or computer science with focus on computer architecture? Machine Learning? Deep Learning? Data Science? etc etc etc?
Here's the truth - DON'T WASTE MONEY ATTENDING USELESS COLLEGES AND MAJORING IN USELESS PROGRAMS/DEGREES. What do you expect?
