अध्याय 13 का श्लोक 34:
हिन्दी: इस प्रकार शरीर तथा ब्रह्म कालके भेदको जो ज्ञान रूपी नेत्रों से अर्थात् तत्वज्ञान से अच्छी तरह जान लेता है, वे प्राणी प्रकृति से अर्थात् काल की छोड़ी हुई शक्ति माया अष्टंगी से मुक्त हो कर गीता ज्ञान दाता से दूसरे पूर्णपरमात्माको प्राप्त होते हैं।
क्षेत्र और क्षेत्रज्ञ :
यह दो शब्दों क्षेत्र (शरीर) और क्षेत्रज्ञ (शरीर का ज्ञाता) से परिचित कराता है। हम शरीर को क्षेत्र के रूप में और शरीर में निवास करने वाली आत्मा को शरीर के ज्ञाता के रूप में स्वीकार कर सकते हैं लेकिन यह एक सरलीकरण है क्योंकि क्षेत्र का अर्थ वास्तव में अधिक व्यापक हैं।
गीता 14 अध्याय :
पिछले अध्याय( अध्याय13) में श्रीकृष्ण ने भौतिक शरीर और आत्मा के बीच के अंतर को विस्तार से समझाया था। इस अध्याय में, वह अपनी भौतिक ऊर्जा की प्रकृति की व्याख्या करते हैं, जो शरीर और उसके तत्वों का स्रोत है। इस प्रकार, यह मन और पदार्थ दोनों का मूल है।
संतुष्ट होना संतोष, कृतज्ञता और आत्म-स्वीकृति सहित कई प्रमुख गुणों का संकेत है। जब कोई संतुष्ट होता है, तो वे अपनी वर्तमान परिस्थितियों से संतुष्ट होते हैं और अधिक के लिए लगातार प्रयास करने की आवश्यकता महसूस नहीं करते हैं।
तीन गुण :
सत्व, रजस और तमस :
रजोगुण (रजस) ब्रह्मा, सतोगुण (सत्व) विष्णु, और तमोगुण (तमस) शिव हैं। इन्होंने ब्रह्मा (काल, शैतान) व प्रकृति (दुर्गा देवी) से जन्म लिया है और ये तीनों ही अमर नही यानि नाशवान हैं।
8.3।। श्रीभगवान् बोले -- परम अक्षर ब्रह्म है और जीवका अपना जो होनापन है, उसको अध्यात्म कहते हैं। प्राणियों का उद्भव (सत्ता को प्रकट) करनेवाला जो त्याग है उसको कर्म कहा जाता है।

The meaning of Chapter 13 of Bhagavad Gita: Lord Krishna reveals the distinct difference between the physical body and the immortal soul. He explains that the physical is transitory and perishable whereas the soul is immutable and eternal. The Summary of chapter 13:
Shree Krishna then starts describing God, the supreme knower of the fields of all living creatures. He says that the Supreme Lord possesses opposite attributes at the same time, which seem contradictory. Understand that God is all-pervading in His creation, yet, He sits in the heart of every living being.# Arjuna was inquisitive about prakṛti (nature), puruṣa (the enjoyer), kṣetra (the field), kṣetra-jña (its knower), and knowledge and the object of knowledge. When he inquired about all these, Kṛṣṇa said that this body is called the field and that one who knows this body is called the knower of the field. Gita Chapter 13Verse10:
An exclusive devotion to me, devotion based on only one God; and nature of living in solitary and pure places and to have no affection towards the masses of vicious people.
Chapter 13, Verse 13.
I shall now explain the knowable, knowing which you will taste the eternal. This is beginningless, and it is subordinate to Me. It is called Brahman, the spirit, and it lies beyond the cause and effect of this material world.
