You took your trip at a wonderful time. Beautiful weather and the scenery was beautiful also. Even though the river was down, it looked like it didn't matter. You had an arsenal of great flies. I knew the mutant gnat was going to be good, but I had to go back and check out the muddler minnow. I didn't remember that one. I see how that one was your favorite. How wee did the wally wing hold up? Be blessed. My friend.

Yea, it was a great time. The wally wing held up good, but they were not too interested in it. Bill started catching the big ones on a creyfish pattern, thats when I went to the muddler. Trout are fickle, dry flies one evening, then only wet flies. Thanks

I used two different rods on this trip. A 9' 4 wt. and an 8.5' 5 wt. The leader was a 9' homemade leader with #6 tippet. I used a #5 tippet when I was fishing the muddler. Thanks

Great video, 300 miles from me. How do you compare RR to Bennett or Montauk ? Maybe its worth the drive . Thanks.

It takes me about 4.5 hours to get there where Montauk is about 3 hours. The fish seem bigger at Roaring River compared to Montauk. There's more water at Montauk but Roaring River still has plenty of water and is usually less crowded. Thanks.
