  • AMETEK Process Instruments presents an informational webinar on flue gas analyzers for safe combusion of high hydrogen fuels. In the webinar, you will learn more about:
    • Which trends in global decarbonization are driving the use of pure hydrogen and high hydrogen fuels
    • What risks and concerns arise when using hydrogen fuel blends vs. methane only
    • What three critical roles depend on flue gas monitoring to ensure safe and efficient combustion control
    • Which flue gas measurements are critical to combustion safety and process control
    • Which detector types offer greater sensitivity to identify unsafe conditions when firing high hydrogen fuels

Gas Turbine exhaust mass flow has temperature above 400 deg C, can it be used instead of firing fuel ? Kindly advise

Thanks for the question. It depends on the heating requirements of what you are looking to heat. The exhaust mass flow and temperature may be suitable to pre-heat the combustion air to the gas turbine through a heat exchanger, but it may not be enough mass flow and volume to pre-heat certain other applications, such as fired heater coils, or processes that require temperatures higher than 400 deg C. Hope that helps.
