Renegade was the first song that I truly listened to from The Anix, and I was immediately hooked. His work is so unlike the other FiXT artists I've listened to, those being Celldweller (and Klayton's other various projects), Blue Stahli, and Soul Extract. Those artists were grander in their sound, more high-octane in the way they presented their music. That's precisely why I enjoy The Anix so much. It's electronic rock done differently. It's softer, more low-key, while still containing elements that I love from electronic rock, such as the incredible guitar riffs and the sweeping electronics. It's just done differently. Renegade is my personal favorite song from The Anix so far, although that may change as I continue digging through his catalogue. There's just this magical quality about his work, some strange, unknown factor that draws me into the soundscapes that he creates. Whatever the future may hold for this incredible artist, I will be there, listening, and losing myself in the sound of The Anix.

I'm not complaining, but this album better be pretty long. It'd be a shame if the release came, and I've already been jamming out to half of it. That being said, this track definitely keeps the train of awesome rolling.

At least the good thing is that if you have blank CDs and a disk drive with a computer, you could put the digital copy on one. Obviously buy the album though since Brandon isnt a slave and nor is any musician. Just common courtesy, but you probably already get that.

Any story behind lyrics ?
The song is about failure. Failing hundreds of times, over and over and over again. The verses are me talking to myself trying to get pumped up to take the plunge yet again, even though I have failed countless times ago. The chorus is asking "Why do I know why, I come out with nothing, with nothing again"- basically saying that I feel I am doing everything right, but still can not win. "Are you a renegade" is referring to the point that you need to be a trailblazer, a renegade, if you plan to success and power through the bullshit in this world and come out on top. So I am asking myself "Am I a renegade?" meaning, can I actually do this? Can I succeed for once or is it all just destined to fail. It's about my battle and struggle with being a musician but can be applied to anyones personal struggles in any relationship, profession etc.
