It's crazy, they have stopped several miners and returned them before I could get them the info they wanted. Even the KS2 Lite which is only $500. I don't think they even know what they're doing
Wow... Thx for the heads up Mota. I think it may be worth if anyone is looking for newer btc Asics to consider the new Canaan A1566, I know Canaan has a warehouse in Texas. Also with new Tarrifs in the pipe things are likely going to even get more expensive.
I can see a lot of them doing something similar , whatsminer has made units in the US before , elphapex also has had inventory here in the US in the past , so can definitely see them having warehouses/distribution here in the future.
i was expecting my asic @ the end of the day today from the tracking.. It is now 6:30 pm here in Canada. dhl says it cleared customs @ 7:30 am. Most likely will come in tomorrow. fingers crossed.
Hopefully this doesn’t involve any small vendors stateside. I had a mission in Central America working a gov contract. One unexpected fee put the a sub contract under and they couldn’t get the goods out of port. Fees accrued every day, which just ended up being a snowball effect. This was US Army shit for a major exercise, customs didn’t give two f’s until they were paid. Carried on far too long until I worked some deals. I’d expect these fees to be dropped onto the consumer, might expect prices peaking even more very soon. Or, orders will be unfulfilled (more likely) and customs will add to their mining farms.
Yeah half the time cbp doesn't know wtf they are doing and will just make a decision and if you have an issue with it send it back. Needs to be a more streamlined process. Zero clarity , our customs process is also atrocious.
They will find a way , they may have to open distribution sites here in the US if it becomes a greater issue , which some already have, especially with the potential for tariffs down the line. But ultimately yes, manufacturing outside of that region , really needs to be more of a thing, whatsminer has actually made some in the US, could see others expanding also.
Don't think many will have issues , think it's more of a luck of the draw, think it will likely be extremely large orders that may get scrutinized more. , but just something to be aware of more than anything
Did you purchase them recently or did you get them while they were cheap? I'm just wondering if the people that got good prices are going to be waiting until the expensive ones are sent first.
@@Chopper-w50 I ordered 2x Nov L9's 2 months ago and at the same time got 2x Jan L9's also. Total of 4 at much lower prices than today. It figures that this Customs deal would happen right before my Nov rigs ship.
So have to still be careful with that if you're placing all the orders at the same time. There were quite a few who did that ks0 's and ended up getting hit anyway as they all shipped at the same time so DHL combined them all in one bill because they all were to be delivered at the same time. So if they're separated by a day , shouldn't be a problem , but be aware.
A month ago, I have asked you which miner is 'currently' the best KS5 or KS5M? I hope you remember on what you said. For me, Iceriver played very smart here by thinking ahead and having their own hosting facility. This custom issue could have easily be avoided if Bitmain had their own facility...forget bitmain new releases, all current Bitmain models demand will be overwhelmed in the upcoming months resulting in the rise of hosting facilities in 2025....
I would still pick the bitmain unit , the iceriver hosting has been plagued with problems and these recent customs issues aren't specific to bitmain. There will always be a way, whether it's shipping from Malaysia , which many do already or some of the vendors have their shipments reach stateside and then from there ship out, many options. Think hosting facilities will continue to grow , but not for this reason , but because of ever increasing electricity rates.
@miningstacker yeah but both models making good money write now. You mentioned last time about Ks7, who's gonna stick to their ks5 once that come out. You mentioned many times, you concerned only about this bullrun so I believe both ks5 and ks5m are good options write now for this bull run. depending which one can start mining for you more quickly and get faster ROI. It's like those elphapex dg1 being sold from $5k to $11k in less than 2 weeks once doge hits 3x. Once Kaspa gets it's long waited pump, ks5m will exceed the demand of ks5 if the current custom issue remains because currently KS5M can get online within 3 days after making payment.
and iceriver dont give me free power so i would have to throw out the machines long before i do at home most big companys are not investing in free energy to get their machines hosted to expensive prices
@miningstacker I wondering why Kaspa not picking up the price action, Kadena got 2x recently, including Zen, Zec, Siacoin. Not sure what the future holds for kaspa but I am just targeting this bull run. So don't think will be mining Kaspa after this bull run unless Kaspa goes to like $10-15.
does this mean the whole price thing with the l9 was a waste of time 🤔and getting it will be like getting a christmas gift 🎁 i would ask them to wrap mine in temu a box 😆 hope we get some updates soon
@@miningstacker The Technicals just made a video if it is time to sell your miners.. (talk about bad timing 😆) right now its time to shop everything on ebay and resell it in a week. buy the news sell the news 🤣

It used to be lottery and I got hit once. Seems much more frequently now. Could get very costly brotha. 😢

I'm in Canada... Many if my DHL order would arrive after 8pm. But yes being a day late is very common with them.

my Dragonball A11 made it thru 2 weeks ago! $750, no duties 😬
closing the doors on small miners and monopolizing the market now. Hope Jack D makes his miners here in the US or CA

Get control boards already in the US. This sucks as I have 2x L9s shipping in a few days

i guess it depnds on the reseller but i paid 11k a couple weeks ago and it should be here by the weekend.
How are you getting L9s without scams? What web are you getting it through, im only trusting bitmain directly atm but open to other options
That’s why I didn’t buy an AL3 and just chose to buy AL2 lite in different transactions adding up to a AL3 hashrate

Yeah man...that stuff is crooked
Bitmars had 200 S21's held up for two months. They are now charging 3% in advance on actual value, which seems to be working. Low value isn't.
That makes more sense , going to likely have to be the norm soon.

Yeah man!!!! And it's still running! Up to 1.17 now , woooo
Let’s fkn go
what's with the board ??? Where can i read in this ??
