this was super helpful, i just struggled to get paypal account open i had to ask my friend in Pairs to help me. Then i got through on my own to the FNB making a account, now im stuck on the Fica part. and i think if i did not stumble across your video by grace, i would not no the rest of the process. But i just want to confirm, do i have to now download the FNB APP to? just to confirm that one part when i get there!? I had know idea it would be such a struggle! and this is going to take me hours / days lol to get it done! crazy! and i haven't even started my freelancing yet to build up income. Thank You so much!

Thanx for the useful information but why do u need to open an online fnb account if upgrading your Standard bank account to "receive international payments" allowed U to load that Standard bank account onto PayPal?Surely this successful adding of said account means that funds can be directly loaded into without any middle man in the form of Fnb???🤔
You don't have to open a bank account with fnb. You just sign up for the website. Standard bank and PayPal can't send a receive money between them directly (I don't know why).

Hi. Fnb is not an example. You have to go through fnb but you don't need an fnb account. The money goes from PayPal THROUGH fnb to your bank. I bank with standard bank, not fnb. And yes, I think you'd have to fica with capitec. You don't need a us bank card. Maybe see if capitec has a helpline for international transfers or try the fnb helpline number I shared

Via fnb. As mentioned in the video, if your accounts are properly linked up you'll be able to withdraw via the fnb online banking portal. You might have to give it a day or two before the withdraw button pops up. When it does show up, it'll be in the orange menu one the SIDE of the screen (check the video, it includes a picture pointing it out)

hi erica. I'm pretty sure Paypal functions like a normal bank. Your funds can stay there as long as you need. As for FNB, if you have an FNB account you're trying to transfer into, then I think you'll need to activate it fully to transfer money in. If you bank with a different bank, you don't need an FNB account. You can just link your accounts as I described and the money will go straight from paypal via fnb into your regular account

I'm assuming that's fica for your bank account? I don't think PayPal has Fica. So I think that means you haven't submitted your ID and proof of address or something went wrong with it. As I said in the video, I wasn't able to submit mine on the portal or via email, but those methods may work for you. I took mine in to the bank branch and they did my fica for me

As far as I know, no. You can only do it from the FNB side. I'm not sure about the fnb mobile app, but I doubt it.
