On the Japanese KOF site it's stated that the game was held back for quality issues. Two of the hidden characters are Elisabeth and Mature(who's now sporting an eye patch over her right eye), but I'm not sure about the other two. They could be Mai and K'; they appear on the front page of the Japanese KOF official website and its new artwork (kind of like a tease).
@Brad not all combos are found in the movelist... the beauty of fighting games is finding your own style and your own combos whether they are flashy and fun, fast and furious or slow but hard hitting

Potemkin has an uppercut that cancels into his air grab, abel has an elbow launcher that cancels into his air throw... EL FUERTE has a kick that launches them into his air throw!

Originally there were only going to be 20 characters, but then SNK revealed Elisabeth and Mature(who was supposedly killed in a previous game). Mai is a female ninja and K' is a young man w/ pyrokinetic abilities. The King of Fighters official website has info on the series history and characters.
How can you GUARANTEE that K' will be in kof 12 ? I am a big K' fan when I read stuff like this I get happy and I dont wanna be upset when the game comes out and K' is not there.

BTW, this Kof looks spectacular too.
Why? If anything SNK grapplers are usually more powerful than SF grapplers in their respective games. Combo into command throws and insane grab priority and all.
SF grapplers aren't made to combo, unlike the KoF ones, so when you do glitch the game up and do a combo ending with a grab. The damage isn't taken down. The game still sees it as a move on its own and give the stand alone damage. SF grapplers have way more priority than the KoF grapplers. If you 'drop' them into that system not only would they be able to link throws off the ground and in the middle of moves ;but also able to break combos with grabs that leads into combos and grabs.
Mature and Elisabeth Branctorche are going to be 2 additional characters that are going to be in this game. Also there are going to be 4 hidden characters in the game. So, there are going to be a total of 26 characters. K' IS A HIDDEN CHARACTER(spoiler) "SNK and Igntion Entertainment have recently confirmed that the home version will have twenty-six playable characters and at least two of them will be hidden" I GUARANTEE THAT K' IS GOING TO BE IN THE GAME AS ONE OF THOSE HIDDEN CHARACTERS!!!
I play Grapple Characters and I Feel that Shotos are down right frustrating. BTW if you think Goro is bad wait till you see a Great Raiden player! My second main team is going to be Raiden, Clark and Goro...

Not knocking him as a character ;but if you gave Zangief the same system he (or any Wrestling Character from Street Fighter ,especially Epically R.Mika) would be to powerful. Hell, we can barely handle him on Street Fighter. I know they have two differ systems and all; but if you want to make comparisons at least make it fair. Use all of the attributes of the people being compared.
