This is beyond artistic Nigel. I'm an artist myself, and I can see you painting you trees in 3D space. The only difference is I paint, you prune. Really great videos, God bless.
You are a genius Nigel, the "Pablo Picasso" of Bonsai art.
Thanks Himanshu, I really enjoy the composing of compositions and landscapes!
the don king of bonsai, or cornell west
@5:53 is that a winged elm at the front left corner in the pot
I’ve likened Mr. Saunders as the Bob Ross of the Bonsai world
@@ScottGuilfoyle Steve Brule too?
Aww man u win my soul. I will never forget you sir in my life. You are my inspiration.
When people ask me who I want to be when I'm older, I say Nigel Saunders from the Bonsai Zone.
Love the animal ornaments with the plants too, I do the same with my succulent collection but with dinosaurs
Yes I do too. Mudmen, cows and elephants
Awesome, I've got my eye on a T rex that I'm going to buy eventually!
@@TheBonsaiZone Sounds brilliant, you could have a Peppa Pig ornament and it would still look cool with your collection

Thank You Nigel! I love watching your shows! Big Love from South Africa!
I love watching you prune. It's so scary yet gives me courage to go for it on my own little tree. Thanks for the great videos!
always great videos with diverse content and the interaction with the baby bird was incredible Nigel ... I have a series of birds in my nursery ... I really like it, because we are part of the same nature ... plants .... animals ... people ...
big hug
Thanks Tonny, I agree, we are all part of the same world!
🤝🤝🤝
dog food you say? thats one strange looking puppy
The pros and cons of perlife as a soil. it is light weight and drains well. this makes it nice for large plants especially those that want the soil a little on the dry side. The drawback is that it also holds less nutrients. This means that in order to keep the plant healthy you need to be more diligent with fertilizing the soil.
Thanks Paul, I hope the tree does well, we'll know by the end of summer!
I think it has to be a great day, some trees done and repotted ,the robin fed and this heavyduty sturdy car almost finished off,so,yes, thanks for sharing,it was fun to watch.
After a long I'm seeing your "Root over Temple" Fantastic job done on it and it's looking great in the new pot. And Your Robin is so familiar to you, it's amazing Nigel. Nature has a definite bless on you.
Love from India.
Thanks Samar, I'll miss the little bird when she goes wild. I hope the tree does well after it's re potting, we'll know by the end of summer!
Oh the little bird! so comfortable around you!!!
wow so refreshing to listen to you at the same time watching you do fantastic job . . . thanks for the lessons!
Going to the Bonsai Zone is always an adventure. The Temple is like a visit to Mexico. Thanks for explaining why to use a smaller pot.
Thanks Sophia, yes bonsai takes me away to exotic locations too!
The bloopers are hilarious great video Nigel. Beautiful bonsai.
Thank you Terry!
Hi Robin 😊 what a great video again Nigel! Just what I needed ... Off to the next one waiting for me 💖😊👍💖
You're simply wonderful. Even animals can't resist. Thank you so much for your content, in a world full of negative media
Thanks Quinn, I hope all is well with you and your not bonsai! I hope to see more videos coming, I really enjoy them!
Great bonsai zone as usual, dig the new specs and the beautiful butterfly. All the best to you and family. Thanks.
One of my favorite trees of yours comes finally back in shape. I'm really happy with the result, you did a great job! Looking pretty good :)
Yes, it's slowly getting there, I think with more lights in the winter, I'll be able to keep it shaped better.
Watching you feed the young robin? Really cool...Really like the root over temple project and the your improvements are right on the money...Thanks, as always for sharing this journey...
Looks way more better now, I like the project. Watched all the old videos and the progress is cool
A nice video. The little bird is also very cute to look at, how trustfully it can be fed by you.
The bird is so cute, we have to feed her about every hour, I call her and she flies down from the trees for her food!
I find that moss makes the trees WAY easier to water as it protects the soil from getting washed out as you spray. Sounds obvious, but nobody seems to mention that...Also, the truck looks freaking AWESOME. So jealous. Really well done.
Thanks very much, yes the moss is good for holding the soil all together, especially on hills. I think the truck will be like my bonsai, never finished and always being refined!
I have watched this channel many times ... so I am excited to continue taking care of my bonsai. thanks for sharing.
Awesome KuKa! Happy growing!
End result is excellent
Thanks Bindu!
I think it is a beast! Magnificent! it's a wonderfull day and everything goes the way it should, so,thsnk you for sharing.
That is an unbelievably beautiful tree and design. 👍
Nigel,this is fantastic!
I have a 30 year old ficus, root over rock, and it is over due for re-pot.
I was surprised at the amount of perlite, versus actual soil!!
I had no idea!
I must consider this option next spring,as your wisdom is invaluable.
Yes, Ficus love a nice loose free draining soil combined with frequent watering and fertilizer!
Blessed by nature you are.
This one is an adorable bonsai on temple, it has really developed beautiful root structure on that rock , beautiful👏👏👏🌳
Thank you Mangesh!
Very interesting and innovative approach to the great art and science of bonsai!
I love how the trees roots are growing around that temple!
Thanks James!
Been waiting for an update on this tree for quite a few years now. So great to see it repotted into a shallow, lighter pot
Finally I can lift it easily! It was so heavy before and I think it shows the tree off much better in the new pot!

Thanks Aija, glad you got to see the video, the weather turned cool today after the rain we got. I had to heat the greenhouse to keep the Baobab seedlings warm. I was told not to let them go below 15 C or they go dormant.

Very good 👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks Paulo!
Very nice
Great Video 👍

Looks excellent Mr. Saunders! I personally would place it more to the center, but it looks nice how you positioned it.
Thanks Mark, I'll try and style the canopy to the right to create more balance for the future!
GENIUS

I am inspired by your root over temple bonsai, so I try to make a root over temple bonsai like yours. 🙂🙂🙂

@@TheBonsaiZone Oh it`s great sir, thank you for give me a chance to show my root over temple bonsai. I will send you picture soon.
Am I finally ready to take my freshman level final exam from Bonsai Zone University? I watched this whole video and didn't scream @ any of the work! Bonsai Master Nigel, you taught this 'grasshopper' well.
I'm going to miss Robin. So happy and lively. Hopefully instinct will keep Robin safe.
Thanks, good that you stayed calm and bonsai on! We brought Robin inside last night so she didn't get rained on. She doesn't mind sleeping indoors, but she loves flying around outside too!
