About Maude: Gutsy, smart, outspoken, and liberal -- all are terms that describe Beatrice Arthur in the title role of the TV series that spun off from the popular All in the Family. Well-educated and upper-middle-class, Maude Findlay is the archetypal feminist of her generation. She lives in suburban Tuckahoe, New York, with her fourth husband, Walter (Bill Macy), their divorced daughter, Carol (Adrienne Barbeau), and grandson Phillip. The cast also includes Rue McClanahan as Maude's best friend Vivian; Walter's best friend and neighbor Dr. Arthur Harmon (Conrad Bain); and over the course of the series, three different maids (Esther Rolle, Hermione Baddeley and Marlene Warfield). Tough issues like abortion, alcoholism, women's liberation, menopause and politics are all fodder for the show's sharp wit and social commentary.

"Shut up, you sex maniac."
Dorothy to Blanche on any given day.
In Michael Kelso’s voice: BURN!!!!!!!!
So many decades of comedies spanning this video and these comments, I love this 🎉🤩
So it seems.
Good grief.
Wowsers!
The story about her doll and rejecting her mother’s logic is hilarious.
And how great was Hermione with physical humor? I always thought they should have done more of that with her, she was so fabulous.
These three are BRILLIANT together!
If only they had visited Mayberry, can anyone possibly imagine a verbal confrontation between Maude and Aunt Bee?
My favorite Maude episode. Absolutely hilarious. Need to find whole episode.
That might just take a while.
Mrs. Naugatuck was my favorite of Maude’s housekeepers. Hands down.
YES, YES!! Mrs. Naugatuck was a laugh riot! Her eyes, face, and line deliverances are priceless!!
Mine too!🤣
Me too
And Florida’s husband had friends in Chicago.
And descended from the maid named Ellen in “MARY POPPINS”.
When she starts choking the life out of her.😂😂😂😂
“HOWDIDITHAPPEN?????!!!!!!!! HOW DID IT HAPPEN???!!!!! DON’T JUST LIE THERE, TELL ME!!!!! TELL MEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
💀
I’m just kind of surprised that the maids union didn’t file charges against Maude.
Getting desperate.
Not a chance.
“HOW CHIPPED?!!”
"Pretty chipped."
120 pieces is definitely pretty chipped to me.
Sounds like it.
Why would anyone lend out something that is both fragile and priceless?
Mrs. Naugatuck: “She’s undressing him with her eyes! I’m going to go get my bifocals and join her!” LOL
Heavens to hemlock.
0:45 I always say this to myself whenever I end up going to/passing through Yonkers 🤣
Goodnight nurse.
Pretty Chipped 🤣🤣
And definitely in no uncertain terms.
That thing must have been expensive as hell.
Yes antique Waterford crystal is worth thousands I looked it up
See what the experts from “ANTIQUES ROADSHOW” have to say about the dilemma.
Does that also include decanters?
Bea Arthur was a treasure!

@@againstthepods4316 she's been dead for 12 years
More or less.
Forest Lawn obviously, but I haven’t checked lately.
Nearer to 15.
If my bowl wasn’t broken I would throw up in it lol 😂
Maude’s personal agony.
If my bowl wasn’t broken id throw up in it!🤣
Good grief.
I have lots of Waterford, o er 120 pieces. But alas, no punch bowl
It would have been worse if they’d lended out a Waterford crystal decanter.
I love Maudie's cape
Talk about pitiful fashions.
hahaha Yonkers at night? hope they are in the good part.
New Rochelle has better neighborhoods.
Love this show ! I am so happy Maude is on RUclips for us to watch 🙂🙂💕💕
All the way.
Superb in maude But kinda soft acting in Golden Girls
All In A Family's two appliance servicemen versions and Good Times burnt couch stories. But the Jeffersons?
George’s profession was dry cleaning.
Was the original proposed title for this spinoff show "What Makes Maude Tick?"
Poor Maude🤣🤣🤣🤣
Even Archie would laugh 😹 himself silly over the incident in question.

The agony of it all is around us even today.
Ugh.
Classic case of Rashomon!
Sounds like a missing chapter from “GUNGA DIN”.
Bea Arthur, national treasure. Love this scene!
Too bad that she’s in Forest Lawn instead of the Smithsonian.
2:55 does wonders for my skin
How corny.
Naugatuck was the best
Well? Who broke the Punch Bowl? :O
REALLY FUNNY
Especially when you finally hear the different versions from Carol and the Harmons.
Looks like a man to me
Figures someone would make a comment like this! Maude was a feminist but hardly looked like a man!
