Hi there, nice job on opening the keg for home brew use. I have a question for you. I have a A type keg and have dropped the centre valve out as you did ( I think) but when I try to undo the flange it moves a few mils then stops hitting something not allowing me to open the flange etc and remove the spear? Do you have any idea? Ps the spear is branded DSI.
i just opened a pacific beverages keg with a similar technique. the locking pin was a continuous part of the tabs that lock the thread onto the spear, so it took a lot deeper press to get it to turn. i also had to unscrew the top as far as possible first to get enough clearance.

No idea, it should rotate freelu after the center drops.
