Funny thing my pro-psychs, pro-spirituality psychotherapist recommended me yoga to be more grounded, but they mainly involve themselves with people who do psychedelics and other drugs, they actually had seminars on chog and ego-death practices etc. ...

He is claiming these are all repressed recovered memories, real repressed memories are very very rare. Richard J. McNally, Professor and Director of Clinical Training in the Department of Psychology at Harvard University, has written: "The notion that traumatic events can be repressed and later recovered is the most pernicious bit of folklore ever to infect psychology and psychiatry. It has provided the theoretical basis for 'recovered memory therapy' - the worst catastrophe to befall the mental health field since the lobotomy era." The wiki page on "Repressed Memories" is interesting. Recovered memories, that turned out to be false memories, drove the whole "Satanic Panic" of the 1980's. Recovered memories, without corroborating evidence, aren't even allowed in court anymore.

This guy Jake? Did you watch the video? I watched the whole thing I don't remember him saying he got the memories out of hypnosis or something he seems to not like institutional psychology/psychiatry at all.

@@ShaktipatSeer2 I watched the whole video. At minute 8-9, He said when he started having sex as an adult, he remembered having pain going to the bathroom growing up & he was told this can be a sign of abuse. This is when the memories of horrific abuse came back to him. This is definitionally a "Repressed Memory"
