  • We were fishing in Tennessee, and hooked into a nice sized fish. It was a carp that put up a good fight, but as we were landing it we noticed something stuck on it's head. It was a Lamprey Eel. This parasitic eel eats fish alive, attaching itself to them with a suction cup mouth, and then slices into their skin with rows of razor sharp teeth, and feeds on the fishes blood. We had heard they lived here in the Tennessee river, but never imagined we would actually catch a fish with one on it!
But the carp was not the only fish we caught! We had headed out bank fishing with live bait and also caught yellow bass, a yellow perch, and caught some crappie too! We will certainly be fishing for crappie and perch at this spot in future videos, if the eels don't eat them all first!
