- Hello, welcome to another episode!
This Z900 needs some new tires mounted, taking off the rear wheel so you can bring the rim to the shop.
Delta Tango went with the Bridgestone BattleAx Hypersport S22 tires.
Came here after I was struggling to get my wheel back on due to not seeing the block which locks the caliper in place. Good detail and very helpful video
Glad it helped!
There is a 27mm & 22mm wrench under your seat for this very application. It helps if you slip a bar over the end of it for extra leverage.
Where’s it located? Nothing seems to be under my seat. Just need a 22 MM , going to the auto store but checked under the seat first
@@brandonduckworth8836 on my z750 2008 there is tool bag that comes with the motorcycle from factory. It's located on the left inner side under drivers seat, try to look it up on Google for your bike
thank you, just followed your instructions and switched out my rear tire without issues. What I did was sit behind the wheel on the floor and push the tire up with one of my feed. Shortened the whole rearrangement part to 2-3 minutes to get the rod in
Good videos on this subject. Just used them while replacing my z900 tires. Putting that rear tire back on was a PITA.
Thank you!
Jees! That looked like a real struggle! Thanks for doing the video, very informative. Heres a tip to make it a little easier next time. Before you take the wheel off, shim up with different thicknesses of timber boards from the floor to the tyre, so they just touch. Then when you go to refit just have the exact shims handy to place under to the right height. Saves time and effort. At least in one direction anyhow! Thanks again
Timber boards?..........lol
Thanks. Although that's ZERO help after you've already got it off.
Sory but a very messy work. Like the grease is all over the place, you probably accidentaly touch the diskbrake with a greasy hand and thats not good..
Remove the brake caliper next time and it will save you from struggles
Thank you for making this video , saved me money and taught me something! good job 👍
Love to hear that! Thanks for watching!
Not to be a nit picker but you are using that Pitbull stand incorrectly. When using the standard pins on the swingarm, the pins need to be oriented high side up. This prevents scratches to the swingarm and more stability because the red tabs are up and tightly against the swingarm preventing side to side movement better.
What caliper block? You moved a camera but never showed it.. You are also suppose to lube the spacers I believe.
you are strugling a lot remove break calipers and abs sensor from mount its easy and safe to any way good job bro
nice! thanks for sharing!
Thanks for watching!
awesome thank you
Glad it helped!
Thanks for watching
Bro was SWEATING
Filming & wrenching in Texas, you’re probably going to be sweating 😅
Hey i just did this and the front wheel but now whenever i turn the gas i get Like a grinding sound. I relubed it plenty but still Happening.
It sounds like you left a spacer out which will cause a grinding sound.
What about adjusting the chain?
We did not cover that this episode, but we will do a chain adjustment episode soon.
jeeeezus, why don't you lose the chain adjusters first?the wheel will come out much easyer and please use the right size of spanners!!!
Sooo I have a z800 and lost my spacer on the caliper side any idea what part number it is?
I did this, and now my speedometer is having issues, it jumps around about plus/minus 10mph from where it should be, and doesn't seem to go above 55 now. Have any ideas what I could have done wrong?
All bikes have the speed sensor in a different location, for example my cbr has the speed senor over the counter shaft which sits on top of the transmission. The z900 may have the speed senor over the pulsar ring that is located inside the rear brake rotor. You can see it in the video its a metal ring with little rectangular slots cut evenly all around it. A sensor will be facing some where over the ring. On my cbr that ring will give the imu information for the abs brakes and traction control. On the z900 it may give the information to the speedometer. Make sure this sensor isn't lose or damaged in anyway from the tire change. I hope this helps,
Dr. Speed Lemon.
@@dr.speedlemon739 thanks for the reply, turns out on my z900, the speedo sensor goes through the brake caliper, and was slightly damaged from me putting it back together missing a spacer.
@@samperez477 how much was it to replace? Think I did the same to mine?
Getting that back wheel on is a nightmarish sob😡
I would never let this guy work on my bike..you can be sure the swingarm is scratched the shit from the chain as well as the rim being scratched from jamming the caliper on the rotor...this is a rookie video...DONT TRY THIS AT HOME
Looks like a pain in the ass.
He did it the hard way
@@brentbradley6711 the easy way is taking the bike to a dealer I guess.
alter Schwede. duct tape instead of proper tools.
