Audrey Grace Yes!!!!! I don’t know how they can afford to decorate their home for every season? I didn’t even know people decorated their entire home for every holiday till I watched some other youtubers. I thought I was the only that thought this way.
Me too! I have so many questions about it too! Like why do you need new decor every year for every single calendar holiday? Where do you store it? What are you doing with last year’s stuff? Doesn’t that get expensive? I’m not knocking it (do you girl) it just seems so wasteful to me?

Family of 6 here & the laundry struggle is real! I hate sorting/folding/hanging/putting away laundry after it’s clean. 😩 I currently have 7 (8?) loads of clean laundry that I haven’t even touched, if that makes you feel any better! Favorite emoji is 🙄

My laundry situation is looking the same right now, and I only have one kid!!! Between washing spring/summer clothes, having the flu and a stomach bug run through our house, and normal laundry it piles up!!!!

I used to be strictly a sponge user, but now I found a scrub brush that I adore!
I recognized a Pioneer Woman bowl! You both are doing great with your kids and you do an awesome job keeping up with cleaning. My kids are grown and my house is always a cluttered mess. Ugh! Don't listen to negative comments.

Laundry is a never ending battle, And a few dirty dishes goodness, No one is perfect. Remember you are doing a great job, people shouldn’t criticize until they’ve walked in your shoes. You live in your home, your family is happy, nothing else matters.
We are almost done with a complete master bath remodel but because of it, the rest of my house was neglected. Not to mention all of the dust! I'm watching/listening to you while trying to get my house back to some semblance of it's old self!

We have the Geeni lights all throughout our home, you can change the brightness and warmth and they are a fraction of the price of any GE ones I’ve seen. I love the natural daylight and he loves the warmer color so it’s easy to adjust where we need it!!
That´s interesting. I wonder everytime I watch a cleaning video from the US. In Germany it´s not common to pile all the dishes in the sink. I put them straigt in the dishwasher after we have used them. So it´s easy to stay on top. When the dishwasher is full I run it, unload it directly so that I can put everything in it after use. No messy kitchen with dirty dishes everywhere. Maybe that´s the solution? Laundry is a hole other story. ^^ I´m a working mum. So laundry day is on saturday - and since then there is always a big pile .. Love ♥
I only have 2 kids and although my washing is up to date my folding never is and it will literally stay in the clean washing pile until it's all dirty again and needs to be washed. Laundry is the never ending story of my adult life🤣🤣🤣🤣
I had the same problem until I decided that I wouldn't start laundry unless I finished it. Initally it was rough. But now when I do laundry (and sometimes it is 4 loads) I get it all washed, dried, folded or hung and put away. The only exceptions are the things that have to line dry since they can't go into the dryer. Piecemeal is no longer my approach to completing chores with multiple steps. It is a change in perspective, approach and attitude that I learned from Dana White. Here's her latest incarnation here on YT:

I’m glad I’m not the only one whose house gets messy when we are busy! We have five kids at home and that mixed with two puppies, two cases of the flu, a 24 hour bug that hit six of the seven people in the house, and basketball my house is a wreck!!!
To help keep (a bit more!) up with laundry, I put a load on before I go to bed with delayed timer so it finishes washing when I get up in the morning

Okay, but like me personally, I would get more behind with two laundry rooms!! I would forget which one I put my stuff in or it would be in the laundry room not closest to me and I would just procrastinate!!!! And that's just with one person's laundry - I cannot even imagine trying to keep up with laundry for 6 people!!! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!!!!

Cleaning is my weakness. I love how you roll your hand towels and clothes. I'm going to do that also. I also have the folding problem. I can do laundry all day but the laundry takes forever to fold. I have a small laundry room but I think if I had the hanging bar that would help me.

Four kids means lots of laundry unless you reduce the amount of things they get to wear. Have you seen The Minimal Mom channel? One of her first videos shows her laundry system. I'll link it here, it is a bit radical. Her other videos walk you through decluttering and coming up with ways to reduce amount of stuff you need to manage throughout your home. You still do laundry, wash dishes, buy groceries, etc., but it's because you have to as you have less things available to use. Since all your drawers have less items, it will be just the one load a day. Same for dishes, pots, pans, silverware, cups, mugs, glasses, bowls, etc.
We end up with a mountain of laundry and multiple dishwasher loads because we have so much clothes, towels, sheet sets, and kitchen gear at our fingertips to use before needing to clean anything for reuse. Reducing the amount you are managing means you can keep on top of a smaller amount of stuff and no overwhelm or guilt is required to get rolling on taking care of it.
I know you have lots of space in your home to put things and likely cannot imagine having any of that empty, but you might not even need all the things that you have right now. The excess just gets in the way of having a liveable life, at least that is what has happened for many following the simpler life she and others are promoting.

I totally get being behind on dishes. There’s only three of us, but we don’t have a dishwasher 😱 so I’m constantly handwashing all our regular dishes plus a million bottles everyday!!
