I also made it to Gnosis 4 and I can’t get enough of the gameplay loop. It’s great! The gunplay feels really good and the enemies are intelligent and aggressive, which makes it always a tense and fun experience!
I mean... I attack them. Unless there's another button or ability that always stuns enemies... I was using the flaming cross, which just does damage, doesn't stun.
It’s more like a fps version of Remnant vs Witches but without Melee (for now) you need slower planning approach and use the map to plan your run to not run out of heals/ammo because mistakes can be so punishing Doom has more the adhd approach you still need to be methodical as to how you approach the different enemy types but you always have the chainsaw and glory kills to keep you topped off. They are essentially the same but still completely different. Also doom gets its variety from the different enemy’s and the damage types they are vulnerable to but essentially it’s just shoot that guy with this gun and the other guy with that gun but other than different sounds and colors coming out of the barrel they all do the same thing whereas Witchfire gets its variety from the guns having different mechanics Best example Hypnosis and All Seeing Eye both are bolt action marksman rifles you‘d think do the same thing but one does high single target damage if you get the timing right between shots for the gong the other is a crowd control weapon for starting engagements with the decay aoe explosions on enemy’s weakspots if they have high enough health
There is no game ever made that is 100% for everyone. I'm enjoying the hell out of the gameplay loop, even in early access. I assume u have watched but have never tried it.
I think the game is incredible, but I get that some people aren't going to like it. I would say the game started to really pop for me when I leveled up the guns and found the different gun mechanics.
@@mrsnackbar9383 Either that or he did play but he never left island of the damned leveled up the guns and fought bigger enemies and groups. The enemy density is a little to low on island but it’s good for the first weapon level together with the madmen of the first tower floor. That’s ~70-80 kills more than enough to get 2 Guns on level 1 or 1 Gun (depending which one) on level 2.

Totally! So much fun! It's a different kind of experience
Once you fill the soul lamp the shield goes down, also the blue heads on the wall that silence you can be disarmed by just going up to them.
I see! So once you kill enough enemies the bosses lose their shields! That makes some sense. Those enemies are such turds
I want to be completely overpowered in this game, I am grinding every day the Witchfire to level up.
Of, kinda scuffed run tbh, but you did make it all the way through on Gnosis 4 with two of the shortest range weapons, that's a feat in itself 👌
U running in and not disarming the traps gave me ptsd !
But hey, it worked. U beat it and i still haven't lol.
Haha fair! I've never tried disarming the silencing guys. They freak me out!
@JawlessPaul their faces when they lock on to you all the sudden truly is the stuff of nightmares!
Y U no disarm the traps? 😭
Haha, I've never tried disarming the face traps. They just do a tiny bit of damage though 🤷♂️
They stop you from casting spells and charger melee which is annoying. May as well disarm them
Y U not stun your enemies? 😭

@@JawlessPaul i think he means the dash stun mechanic
2 bad witch fire turned out to be boring.. first it looked a bit like adventure doom vs witches.

don't know what you mean this game is anything but boring
