You should have started with Jimin's SET ME FREE PT2 MV, LIE, SERENDIPITY, FILTER live performances. All his songs are totally different from each other. He is versatile. He has very distinct, delicate, high-pitched but powerful voice. He can also go lower and growl when he needs to. He and Jin get most of the killing parts of BTS songs. Like Crazy was the first Korean soloist to reach BB#1 in over 60 years and he remains the only soloist to reach #1. He has also broken countless records with this LC and it has just been ‘crowned’ the best KPop song of 2023. He is known as the Korean MJ for his voice and the Korean Chris Brown for his dancing. His voice is most unique and beautiful- there’s not another voice in the music industry like his. He is the member with the most versatile style of music - each of his songs on his EP are entirely different genres and sound. You should also check out other solo songs of his under the group name of BTS.
Jungkook also reached BB #1 with Seven & shattered many other records as well....the only ones who disagree with that are Jm solos tbh. And nothing against Jm, I love him, but imo Jungkook is the most versatile.

JK’s #1 BB was a collab in full English (all of them are) and 💯 made in the U.S. You’ll find in the K media and other western media, very often, when they talk about Jimin’s #1, they make a point of stating the fact that he achieved his #1 BB without collab or feature and in Korean. So, by definition, JK’s songs are English/American songs, not Korean - despite winning awards in Korea - I think that has a lot to do with Hybe’s influence on those award shows. To be fair to all KPop idols, referring to JK’s music as Korean KPop cheats them out of being nominated and winning awards with their Korean language hit songs. It’s not hard to understand: English does not equal KPop. BTS’ #1 BB successes were earned after producing Korean discography for years. They’ve already proven themselves that they can play both sides of the fence.

And yes ofc BTS has proven themselves with their Korean discography...so has Jungkook, being the main vocal of BTS. So. If English does not equal kpop, as you say, does that then mean that the BB #1's for BTS' English songs Dynamite, Butter & PTD don't count? Or what about the #1's they achieved with Savage Love and My Universe? Should those not count either, since they featured other artists? In the beginning as well as ending to the song, he even uses excerpt wordings, with voice over actors using dialogue more in tune with song, from it. Jimin has also said that many of the songs on the album convey what he was going through, his thoughts, his feelings, his emotions as well as despair & depression, during the pandemic in the last few yrs. He also was hoping that maybe it could help others by way of relating & going through similar difficulties during pandemic. So this song Like Crazy, could also be during that time, thinking back while laying his head down, on table in that depressing small room, dreaming of the better times in the past, when he was free to enjoy himself, as well as being with someone or with friends, or even around ppl in general, being able to be free to go out & party. It was vow for me with Set me free and I felt kind of like you with Like Crazy first. BUT more I listened more I fell in love with Like Crazy, it was THE song for me in 2023, it´s a vibe, his voice is one of a kind. Don´t underestimate that song! It has very deep meaning into his personal state during the pandemic which resulted in the cancellation of BTS's world tour and the subsequent forced break from their activities. The album features songs which showcased his different amazing vocal tones. He is a talented, multi faceted and mezmerising performer. You need to check out Set Me Free PT 2. Jimin can sing and belt it out in his beautiful and unique voice tones. His growls, mid and lower register are amazing too. The man has been voted the King of Kpop for several years running, not without good reasons. He is the best Idol in the Kpop industry. Without Jimin, BTS would not be this iconic, IMHO!

Jimin is my bias. His vocal range is incredible. In my opion, I've heard some of his best vocal range in BTS songs rather than his solo music. Also, his dancing is amazing. I love that he has a ballet background. HIs movements as a dancer are so beautiful.

The songs you hear from Jimin will literally always have a meaning here, it is not about famous producers or commercial music, few artists are those who seek to tell a story and others seek commercial success, the good thing is that both JIMIN and BTS have both and Despite the almost zero promotion the company give to Korean songs, it is incredible that Like crazy has achieved so much, so we can only wait for what type of music JIMIN will release in the future because if the company manages to promote him and give him the commercial songs, he can attract more audiences but I doubt it since he as well as several members of BTS prefer to go down the path of continuing to grow faithfully to themselves and little by little despite the fact that they are all already world stars with a solid fandom that is the ARMY. You must know the history of BTS because if you like a member you will never be able to separate them from their beginnings. Although each member makes a different type of music and has achieved a lot, you can't imagine how great BTS is as a group. I just wait for his return on that long-awaited world tour and it will be incredible and believe me it will be bigger than the tours of many Western artists.

One thing about jimin is he WILL capture anyone whenever he performs... I def think his music style is more pop synth, or just pop which I don't think is ur preference, but he's def the king of the stage, as an ex performer he shines best on stage imo, so 6think u might enjoy lie(live), filter(live) and serendipity (live)...... As for songs that might be more ur preference I think u will enjoy FACE OFF, there's no music video but u can check the song and lyrics
I listen to this song all the time. Love the layers and the vibe. It’s so sad. It’s about the hard time he had during the pandemic and how he felt like he was losing himself. Jimin himself prefers Set Me Free but i’m in love with Like Crazy.
You are right, it is low tempo. It was intentionally done that way to give more meaning in thr song. Until, you know BTS you would not know what kind of music they do, especially Jimin. Unless you know his poetry you would not get his music. As to JK's recent solo it was also intentionally done by him for he wanted to reach out to more market when he decided to take on all English written songs. In Like Crazy, Jimin is talking to the person in the mirror before him. It is presenting the real him and the guy who was undergoing uncertainty or sorrow because of the emptiness he was feeling at that tine. Jimin's, album Face, where Like Crazy is included, talks about his emotional state during the pandemic. The last part of the Album is his Set Me Free Pt. 2 where he decided to let go of the emptiness and let go of such sorrow before it totally destroys him. South Korea is one of countries with highest suicidal rate. BTS music started with "Healing Music" which focuses on mental health, anti-bullying, social pressure and exlrcyations that has been killing their youth. And, Jimin, being one of members with strong sensitivity, has never been short in expressing this intention in his music. Blackswan is one of BTS' songs which depicts msntal state of one who has lost passion on the thing he loves to do and Jimin put so much effort in expressing his part in the Blackswan MV. Jimin is a dancing and singing poet, if you must know. Yes, your opinion is yours. But, at least put some effort in learning about BTS song's before reacting to it. If you want ARMY to watch your reactions and sibscribes, you must at least put some effort on it before giving your opinion. I actually love the fact that you say what you truly feel about their music. Not everyone will like everything they do and that's okay. I value your honesty more when it comes to them instead of people faking it and looking for the clout that comes with BTS and ARMY, so thank you for that. I would recommend you listening to "Serendipity" the full version. Its a very beautiful song, if possible maybe find one of him preforming it live as well. I also recommend "Set me free pt 2" I don't know if you will actually like it or not, but you can truly appreciate the performance he does in the MV. For me, I felt the struggles he went through when he performed it (not physically of course, can't really feel the emotions of others... but music gives us the best way of doing that). That's the thing about BTS, there are so many members with so many different personalities and music taste. You are bound to click better with one, if not all. Jimin and the rest BTS are good at what they do. Listen to the song "Lie", when I first heard it I heard a different sound from his voice along with the way he dances. I am new to BTS and love and there are other songs. The songs the army gave are great choices to choose from.
Like Crazy is part of his Face Album about his thoughts feelings and personal battles due to covid. I suggest his 'Set Me Free part 2' from the same album it explores his battle over his not so great thoughts while in covid where he also admits he was drinking more than usual. You get to hear a different side of his voice and the more aggressive tones. Oh part 1 is Set me free by one of his fellow band members. They do that if they want to use a certain title but either BTS as a group or a BTS member as an solo artist has already used the title they'll just add 'part 2' to the title. Hope that helps.

English version is good but this is a very meaningful song that was written in Jimin’s mother tongue. I know it might be easier for westerners to appreciate English lyrics but it can take away from the central meaning of the song. I’m glad the Korean version is the one that’s breaking all the records and the most visible and I hope others can appreciate the authenticity that comes along with singing in Korean.
My guy, I read the comments and didn't have to watch the reaction to know how things went. ARMY was cordial, which translates to, "This mofo had the NERVE to act like Jimin's not the best ever. Well let's be polite so he'll feel guilty and react to our Jimin more appropriately the next time." All I can say is BRAVO dude, I'm happy you're keeping it real! Not my favorite song either, it's not terrible, just not my caliber of artistry. MJ, Bey, Prince, Whitney, Luther and EWF are more my speed. This suburban status quo isn't likely to satisfy someone who grew up in the music golden age. ARMY aren't all bad, nor do they all dislike and shade on JK. But too many lost their original focus and have gone down the competitive path. Love JK, appreciate the hell out of his music, since he's putting it all on the line to go toe-to-toe with the Bey, TS, Drake machines. Any man brave enough to challenge the top tier artists, and holding his own, deserves to be appreciated. Keep it real and tell anyone who disagrees to keep it rolling. Thank you for your honest opinion. Jimins album "Face" was written, composed and produced with a team of only four. Pdogg, Ghsloop, Evan and of course Jimin. This Freshman album of Jimins was very personal to him. Like you said we each like what we like. I personally like this very much. I do though respect your opinion. Not sure you got the song as you didn't address the meaning. You even spoke of high school lockers in a club with alcohol. A closer examination would have revealed Jimin was expressing pain, loneliness, and fatalism behind the upbeat cover of 80's styled club music. He never was with someone even when he was dancing. It was a dream. In the end he in resignation says what's the point meaning why even dream.

I would highly recommend the Guide to BTS the Bantang 7 by Taylor Mari it'll answer many questions and help you understand where they come from. Taylor rather than talk in the Guide has embedded English Captions within the Guide so you don't need to turn on extra captions. As for Jimin it can be very soft and gentle but he can adapt it to the song. He has a very high voice not often found amongst male vocalists however it can be very powerful oh and he use's a lot of high pitch squeaks in some tracks and he has a deeper growl and I mean growl when he wants.

He has very distinct, delicate, high-pitched but powerful voice. He can also go lower and growl when he needs to. He and Jin get most of the killing parts of BTS songs. Like Crazy was the first Korean soloist to reach BB#1 in over 60 years and he remains the only soloist to reach #1. He has also broken countless records with this LC and it has just been ‘crowned’ the best KPop song of 2023. He is known as the Korean MJ for his voice and the Korean Chris Brown for his dancing. His voice is most unique and beautiful- there’s not another voice in the music industry like his. He is the member with the most versatile style of music - each of his songs on his EP are entirely different genres and sound. You should also check out other solo songs of his under the group name of BTS.
Jungkook also reached BB #1 with Seven & shattered many other records as well....the only ones who disagree with that are Jm solos tbh. And nothing against Jm, I love him, but imo Jungkook is the most versatile.

JK’s #1 BB was a collab in full English (all of them are) and 💯 made in the U.S. You’ll find in the K media and other western media, very often, when they talk about Jimin’s #1, they make a point of stating the fact that he achieved his #1 BB without collab or feature and in Korean.
So, by definition, JK’s songs are English/American songs, not Korean - despite winning awards in Korea - I think that has a lot to do with Hybe’s influence on those award shows. To be fair to all KPop idols, referring to JK’s music as Korean KPop cheats them out of being nominated and winning awards with their Korean language hit songs. It’s not hard to understand: English does not equal KPop.
BTS’ #1 BB successes were earned after producing Korean discography for years. They’ve already proven themselves that they can play both sides of the fence.

The album features songs which showcased his different amazing vocal tones. He is a talented, multi faceted and mezmerising performer. You need to check out Set Me Free PT 2. Jimin can sing and belt it out in his beautiful and unique voice tones. His growls, mid and lower register are amazing too. The man has been voted the King of Kpop for several years running, not without good reasons. He is the best Idol in the Kpop industry. Without Jimin, BTS would not be this iconic, IMHO!

❣JIMIN, born October 13, 1995, at age 11, started studying, performing, & competing (winning every competition), in hip hop, popping (excelled), & street dancing, while attending the renowned Just Dance Academy in Busan where he's from! He was so good that an instructor even had the high tuition fee waived at one point! This was while also attending middle school, where he loved sports, being quite athletic, joined the football team, excellent at track, great at basketball, & billiards! Jimin also, all throughout his schooling, was known as a top scholar, achieving perfect scores, especially in math & science which just always came easy to him! Jimin was even class president for 9 yrs in a row! Jimin, all throughout his schooling, was also quite good in art class, as well as calligraphy.
Jimin, then also took up contemporary dance. The media, after seeing a performance of Jimin's performing at a huge Busan Festival Event, called Jimin "The rising star of Busan"!! JIMIN also studied ballet & traditional Korean dance while attending Busan High School of the Arts. Jimin still went to Just Dance Academy to take hip hop classes whenever he could because his first love has always been hip hop, even though he was now majoring in contemporary! JIMIN even had an offer to dance overseas, but declined because he also wanted to become a singer since the 2nd grade, to the dismay of one of his dance instructors who said "The world of dance was going to lose a great artist"!!
So Jimin then went and auditioned for BigHit Entertainment, (company BTS is signed with), being the very last member to join, being a trainee for only a few months (which is unheard of for most Kpop idols), as opposed to the 2-3 yrs of being a trainee the other members had! Jimin is my bias. His vocal range is incredible. In my opion, I've heard some of his best vocal range in BTS songs rather than his solo music. Also, his dancing is amazing. I love that he has a ballet background. HIs movements as a dancer are so beautiful.

The songs you hear from Jimin will literally always have a meaning here, it is not about famous producers or commercial music, few artists are those who seek to tell a story and others seek commercial success, the good thing is that both JIMIN and BTS have both and Despite the almost zero promotion the company give to Korean songs, it is incredible that Like crazy has achieved so much, so we can only wait for what type of music JIMIN will release in the future because if the company manages to promote him and give him the commercial songs, he can attract more audiences but I doubt it since he as well as several members of BTS prefer to go down the path of continuing to grow faithfully to themselves and little by little despite the fact that they are all already world stars with a solid fandom that is the ARMY. You must know the history of BTS because if you like a member you will never be able to separate them from their beginnings. Although each member makes a different type of music and has achieved a lot, you can't imagine how great BTS is as a group. I just wait for his return on that long-awaited world tour and it will be incredible and believe me it will be bigger than the tours of many Western artists.

One thing about jimin is he WILL capture anyone whenever he performs... I def think his music style is more pop synth, or just pop which I don't think is ur preference, but he's def the king of the stage, as an ex performer he shines best on stage imo, so 6think u might enjoy lie(live), filter(live) and serendipity (live)...... As for songs that might be more ur preference I think u will enjoy FACE OFF, there's no music video but u can check the song and lyrics

I listen to this song all the time. Love the layers and the vibe. It’s so sad. It’s about the hard time he had during the pandemic and how he felt like he was losing himself. Jimin himself prefers Set Me Free but i’m in love with Like Crazy.
You are right, it is low tempo. It was intentionally done that way to give more meaning in thr song. Until, you know BTS you would not know what kind of music they do, especially Jimin. Unless you know his poetry you would not get his music. As to JK's recent solo it was also intentionally done by him for he wanted to reach out to more market when he decided to take on all English written songs.
In Like Crazy, Jimin is talking to the person in the mirror before him. It is presenting the real him and the guy who was undergoing uncertainty or sorrow because of the emptiness he was feeling at that tine. Jimin's, album Face, where Like Crazy is included, talks about his emotional state during the pandemic. The last part of the Album is his Set Me Free Pt. 2 where he decided to let go of the emptiness and let go of such sorrow before it totally destroys him.
South Korea is one of countries with highest suicidal rate. BTS music started with "Healing Music" which focuses on mental health, anti-bullying, social pressure and exlrcyations that has been killing their youth. And, Jimin, being one of members with strong sensitivity, has never been short in expressing this intention in his music. Blackswan is one of BTS' songs which depicts msntal state of one who has lost passion on the thing he loves to do and Jimin put so much effort in expressing his part in the Blackswan MV. Jimin is a dancing and singing poet, if you must know.
Yes, your opinion is yours. But, at least put some effort in learning about BTS song's before reacting to it. If you want ARMY to watch your reactions and sibscribes, you must at least put some effort on it before giving your opinion. ARMY are not crazy fans but they require commitment from reactors because what BTS and ARMY went through in the last 11 years to get where they are today is not a joke. Indeed, JK, like any of the BTS, did not fail to achieve his mark.
Too much effort has been invested in the work just to get BTS the No. 1 world's boy band. And so ARMY expects respects from reactors by putting efforts in their reactions rather than by just forming their opinion based on first impression. Same, ARMY does not like fake reactions and thdy know when they are being fooled.
Mind you, you should have known ARMY is most protective of the 3 macnaes (youngest members) because they practically grew up before they eyes and the older ARMY, men and women, have considered the macnaes as their own precious babies to date. Macnaes are V, Jimin and JK. V is the most adored one because of his joyful presence. Jimin is the most loved member because of his charming aura. JK is the most favored member because everyone feels him that he missed to enjoy his youth as he started a trainee at age 14 and became BTS member at 15 so he was allowed by his Hyung (elder BTS brothers) to do whatever he wanna to do.
Still, you are right on your opinion that Like Crazy is low tempo. But, had you read a little about the song you would know why it was set that way. You would understand the artistry of the song. As you said, you do jot care about our, ARMY, opinion. You own opinion matters to you most. Anyhow, you are somehow correct.

Okay, we get it, you don't like JK and his music choices, you think Jimin is the best thing since sliced bread and that gives you the right to insult this man for giving his opinion. I actually love the fact that you say what you truly feel about their music. Not everyone will like everything they do and that's okay. I value your honesty more when it comes to them instead of people faking it and looking for the clout that comes with BTS and ARMY, so thank you for that.
I would recommend you listening to "Serendipity" the full version. Its a very beautiful song, if possible maybe find one of him preforming it live as well. I also recommend "Set me free pt 2" I don't know if you will actually like it or not, but you can truly appreciate the performance he does in the MV. For me, I felt the struggles he went through when he performed it (not physically of course, can't really feel the emotions of others... but music gives us the best way of doing that).
That's the thing about BTS, there are so many members with so many different personalities and music taste. You are bound to click better with one, if not all. I'm really excited to continue this journey with you and appreciate you giving your honest reaction and opinion.
There is one song that I would love to see you react to, its with all the members. Its one of my husbands favorites by BTS, if you could please check out "Black swan" I recommend doing a tiny bit of research on what the song is about before listening that way you can get a better understanding of it. Most everything with BTS requires research lol, its one of the things I love about them. Only a few of their songs are just fun with no meaning, but the rest have a deeper meaning that people realize when first coming in contact with them.

Jimin and the rest BTS are good at what they do. Listen to the song "Lie", when I first heard it I heard a different sound from his voice along with the way he dances. I am new to BTS and love and there are other songs. The songs the army gave are great choices to choose from.

Like Crazy is part of his Face Album about his thoughts feelings and personal battles due to covid. I suggest his 'Set Me Free part 2' from the same album it explores his battle over his not so great thoughts while in covid where he also admits he was drinking more than usual. You get to hear a different side of his voice and the more aggressive tones. Oh part 1 is Set me free by one of his fellow band members. They do that if they want to use a certain title but either BTS as a group or a BTS member as an solo artist has already used the title they'll just add 'part 2' to the title. Hope that helps.

English version is good but this is a very meaningful song that was written in Jimin’s mother tongue. I know it might be easier for westerners to appreciate English lyrics but it can take away from the central meaning of the song. I’m glad the Korean version is the one that’s breaking all the records and the most visible and I hope others can appreciate the authenticity that comes along with singing in Korean.

My guy, I read the comments and didn't have to watch the reaction to know how things went. ARMY was cordial, which translates to, "This mofo had the NERVE to act like Jimin's not the best ever. Well let's be polite so he'll feel guilty and react to our Jimin more appropriately the next time." All I can say is BRAVO dude, I'm happy you're keeping it real! Not my favorite song either, it's not terrible, just not my caliber of artistry. MJ, Bey, Prince, Whitney, Luther and EWF are more my speed. This suburban status quo isn't likely to satisfy someone who grew up in the music golden age. ARMY aren't all bad, nor do they all dislike and shade on JK. But too many lost their original focus and have gone down the competitive path. Love JK, appreciate the hell out of his music, since he's putting it all on the line to go toe-to-toe with the Bey, TS, Drake machines. Thank you for your honest opinion. Jimins album "Face" was written, composed and produced with a team of only four. Pdogg, Ghsloop, Evan and of course Jimin. This Freshman album of Jimins was very personal to him. Like you said we each like what we like. I personally like this very much. I do though respect your opinion. Not sure you got the song as you didn't address the meaning. You even spoke of high school lockers in a club with alcohol. A closer examination would have revealed Jimin was expressing pain, loneliness, and fatalism behind the upbeat cover of 80's styled club music. He never was with someone even when he was dancing. It was a dream. In the end he in resignation says what's the point meaning why even dream.
U right and I should have articulated that a lil better. But to me it seems like what the dream was him having fun and partying and ppl adoring him because they cheered and help him up but in real life he is alone. Along with the high school seen being alone and the camera panning back and forth with the black goo pouring at down at the beginning and then reversing at the end. But over all visually like I said dope but the song was ok … deep meaning tho

I would highly recommend the Guide to BTS the Bantang 7 by Taylor Mari it'll answer many questions and help you understand where they come from. Taylor rather than talk in the Guide has embedded English Captions within the Guide so you don't need to turn on extra captions.
As for Jimin it can be very soft and gentle but he can adapt it to the song. He has a very high voice not often found amongst male vocalists however it can be very powerful oh and he use's a lot of high pitch squeaks in some tracks and he has a deeper growl and I mean growl when he wants.
