Thank you for your words of wisdom. It doesn’t completely relate, but I was considering a purchase for something for myself that I’ve been wanting for probably 20 years. It’s just a piece of jewelry. But I was listening to this video and contemplating this purchase, because my brain was wandering. And I thought to myself why am I considering purchasing this piece of jewelry? When the rapture comes, that piece of jewelry will fall to the ground as my body is taken up to be with Jesus. So I thought to myself what is better? And I realized that using that money and giving in an organization that is sharing the gospel, that can change lives, that can plant seeds, that could be the catalyst for somebody’s salvation is worth more than a piece of jewelry that will end up on the ground someday. So thank you. I do believe that the Holy Spirit was giving me wisdom in that moment to realize that the money is better spent on the kingdom of heaven. When the rapture comes and I am gone, perhaps that money will have planted a seed And will be left behind to save other souls during the tribulation.
I toothpaste comment reminds me of a woman in our church at the time speaking at a marriage conference. Her husband had passed, they had spent 50 years or so married. She thought squeezing from the middle of the tube was the best way and her husband hated it. lol. He gifted her her own tube and they never shared another tube of toothpaste. lol. Bible says. Wisdom is the principal thing. Jesus is the wisdom. with out His wisdom men perish.
