We're all sad about Marko but he has to do what's best for himself. This is one of my favorite nightwish songs! It kicks so much ass, I'm glad you loved it!

We played 'Sleeping Sun' from Nightwish at my grandma's funeral, since then I loved this band even more.
I had a burn out last year as well, and one of the things that got me through a very rough summer was Nightwish and this vast reactor community, along with so many other bands as you mention. There's something there that's just so positive and uplifting, being able to share this music across the world. So, thank you, for being a part of that as well!
See... I was watching mainly blacksmithing channels on youtube which inspired me to make a forge and start making knives. Eventually I landed on a reactor reacting to Pisces by Jinjer. That was so funny... It made me think why I, who takes so much strength and help from music doesn't share that with the world. Music can move mountains and let clouds part. I am happy that you seem to share this opinion and have found your way here. Keep fighting to get better...and talk with people!

Experiencing this reaction has made me realize something about the growls....
It is better to let the reactor know than to have them confused and guessing who is the one growling. Many times I've seen reactions where the person believes it's Marko growling and ends up feeling something after the video that was not shared with the viewers and the idea is to share the entire experience with us.
It was very cool that you knew it was Floor before watching and took it all in as it was unfolding. 👍

For me, Nightwish has been one of the things (along with my family) that have kept me sane and hopeful for the future, especially during the pandemic and restrictions to everyday life. In general, there are not so many things that I enjoy, but music is definitely one of the most important. And that has kept me going. Well...i started the channel as much for me as for others. Part of my depression comes from a long past of being bullied and being insecure. Afraid of people judging me basically... Doing something like this is a perfect way of working on just that ;). Thanks for your comment! Skål!

I have to thank you. Wasn't able to listen to NW since Marko announced his retirement from the band. Just started to watch reaction videos again, but felt like I lost my passion for them, what sucks when it's your favorite band that helped you get through the last year (and when you have tickets for two shows this year, one virtual and one live 🤞). Btw I didn't read all the comments, did anybody tell you about the virtual show in May yet (An Evening with Nightwish)? Anyhow, discovering your channel and the way you react seems to be helping me to get that passion back. So thank you! 😊

Good stuff, man! My suggestion is whenever there are multiple live performances to choose from, pick the one in the biggest venue because then you know you are getting the full show with screens, lights and pyro. The other versions are absolutely worth watching too, but I always like to see people who are hearing a song for the firs time getting the full force of their live show.
Btw this was the 2nd song of the night, following "Shudder Before the Beautiful".

I am glad you are here doing this. This pandemic has been so difficult for so many people - I've been lucky that I am already a bit of a hermit so this hasn't been as hard for me as it has for many others, but I just rediscovered Nightwish with Floor on vocals last summer, and it has been the one bright spot in an otherwise shittastic year, so I am glad this has helped you too.
Good luck with your recovery! Hopefully listen to Nightwish will help you with it. It helped me a lot.
I like this performance better than the cruise just 'cause the light show on the cruise makes me dizzy lol. There's benefits and downsides to each version - but hey now that you've done the reaction part you get to enjoy all the other versions too :)

I feel you! I have been dealing with depression, anxiety and some other social awkwardness basically my whole life with ups and downs of course, but this music (I also recommend After Forever and Revamp!!) makes me feel at home, with a voice for my feelings that are often socially not really accepted as a conversational topic. '' How are you doing?'' ''not so good actually..'' ''well, that's too bad. just hang in there, maybe get some help and it will get better. doing anything this weekend?'' is not an atypical reaction, even though we (everyone who has periods of feeling like this) all know from a rational point of view that there must be more people who are suffering from similar (lack of) feelings. So i think it is great that through RUclips we can connect over music that gives us a voice, brings some recognition and even happiness in our day through our shared love of this music, and even a sense of community of people who know what it feels like to be in this state of mind.
To everyone: know you are not alone, and know that recognizing and speaking up about how you feel is the first step to get to a better place, even if the road is bumpy to non-existent and a lengthy one. Love!

Awww Viking. I battle depression also. A song that helps me and Tony wrote it because he noticed that a lot of Sonata Arctica fans battle depression Life. The director did the video Elan for Nightwish. Both videos are visually stunning.
