- To put Sally’s fears to rest about Macy being alone at the cabin, Kimberly volunteers to go check on her. Macy hates Brooke for ruining her last night with Thorne. Macy threatens that even if she cannot stop the divorce, she will stop Brooke. When C.J. and Amber return from Becky’s funeral, they find that Becky has left something unexpected behind.

It' s all absurd, is Macy talking about a man or a little child incapable of understanding or wanting. So...why is she in love with a man she doesn' t estimate? And who is Brooke? The witch who poisoned him?? Come on, that's simply ridiculous.
How disgusting Brooke is, even after she realizes what the night was really about and how upset Macy is for having it ruined because of her, instead of just saying sorry and leave, she makes things worse and pushes the exact same sore spot handing her the papers again

This time I must admit Macy is right. Brooke had no valid reasons for bringing to her lover the divorce paper and for asking her rival to sign them. She should feel responsible for all that's following.
Brooke is never right when talking to the wife of the husband she's having an affair with about anything. Nor is she right when professing to their husbands how much she loves him.
I really like the character Macy, but I loathe her appropriately named husband, Thorne. I will enjoy Thorne when he gets his just desserts, served by Brooke.

@@francescofabbri7454Ridge loved two women AFTER Caroline's de ath and then chose one as his wife. He lived with Brooke just after Taylor's de ath loving two women again (mourning Taylor for a year) then he chose to stay with Brooke and her children( season 8, eight years after they met)
He has not been interested in Brooke from season 10 till Taylor's second de ath.
How can she be right about Ridge? The show completely erased Tridge's past romance after 2005 just to make stronger that strange relationship Bridge has always had: smoke in the eye.
There's something meta about Brooke ruining Thorne and Macy's coda. It's like Brad Bell making Macy's ending all about Brooke.

This storyline is about Brooke. I just mentioned in the later years, Brooke was used for ratings. There was no need for her to be with Thorne

Macy, awesome, she told Brooke the TRUTH
What Macy sees when Brooke asks her to sign the divorce papers is Brooke's true nature - that she is seIfish to the core and incapable of true love. And this changes Macy's mind because although she was willing to give up Thorne and let him be _happy_ with Brooke, she is not willing to give him up so he can be _unhappy_ with Brooke. She loves him too much.
Macy's strong reaction to being asked to sign the divorce papers also becomes even more understandable in context - Macy just went through all that work to create a beautiful last memory of her and Thorne to replace the humiIiation of being served with divorce papers at Brooke's house earlier that day. And just when she thought she had achieved that - just when she had created a dignified and "happy" goodbye - Brooke shows up and destroys everything that Macy has spent the entire evening building, by recreating the crueI scene which Macy experienced that morning, and which she had _only just_ managed to replace with a happy memory.

Absolutely. One gets the sense that Macy *needed* to build a new narrative for her own sense of survival. She had lovingly constructed a new goodbye, one in which she and Thorne reaffirmed the love they had shared and wished each other well for the future. She could exit with her head held high, perhaps erase some of the sting of the past few days.
And what does Brooke do? She comes and sneeringly, cruelly, violently tears it apart. When Brooke says to Macy, “did you really think you’d accomplish anything with this setup”, you can see Macy almost flinch. You can practically see the fragile new base of support she’d built herself crumble. It was so -well, evil, no other word for it.
Great interpretation! And again it's like the writing is at war with itself. On the one hand trying to portray Macy as out of control, but on the other hand still staying true to her characterization by making her react this way _out of love and concern for Thorne._
Brooke and Thorne deserve everything they have coming their way for what they did to Macy.

I feel as if Macy was the voice of the viewers here (or at least the non-Brooke fans). I anticipated half of Macy’s lines. I get that Brad wants us to think of Macy as an unhinged loon, but I thought Bobbie played her as fierce but focused and morally correct. Her outrage was righteous. If the show had to destroy her dignified, sweet ending, at least she got some good shots in on the way out. I was probably supposed to gasp in horror when she tossed Brooke to the floor; I cheered. When she towered over a cowering Brooke, she didn’t just physically stand over her; she had the moral high ground, too.
The CJ/Amber scenes were predictable and are leading to a predictable storyline, but I still felt they were poignant enough to work. Adrienne Frantz toned it down a bit, which works well for her. And Mick’s single tear is a lot more convincing than KKL’s.
Sally is the Spectra equivalent of Stephanie: a fierce, protective mama who has more sense than anyone around her and sees the bad things coming when nobody else seems to.
I had the exact same reaction as 17yo me when watching this with my grandmother: when she threw Brooke to the ground, I cheered and audibly said “get her Macy!”

Agree 💯! The thing is that BE always plays Macy as _relatable_ - whenever she is in a storyline, the point of view gravitates towards her because she makes us feel what Macy is feeling. On the other hand, there is no relatability at all to Brooke's actions in this scene because nobody in their right mind would bring their Iover's wife divorce papers.

And even if the junior writer wanted to show us Brooke as the victim or the star in all her storylines, the result is, for the objective and smart viewers, quite the opposite. Like when his father, but consciously, wanted to show her as a caricature of the romantic heroine.

It's how Brooke always knows what's the right thing someone else should be doing... And that usually involves them just lying flat on the ground and allowing her to walk all over them. Then she'll enter the Victim Olympics if they don't.
She did this to her own mother, tried unsuccessfully to do it to Steph, went on to Taylor as an easier target, and now trying it on Macy.

I love the contrast between Brooke's high-pitched squeak "you can't stop the divorce" and Macy's darkly sarcastic mirroric "but I _can..._ stop you!"
For a Good Girl, Macy can actually be pretty scary when she wants to be. And we get the feeling that this is what is happening here - Macy is trying to scare Brooke. She _talks_ as if she is planning to do something sinister but she doesn't actually _do_ much of anything in this scene. Macy isn't really "going" anywhere with her thr e at s, she is just Iashing out. and then in the next episode, instead of following through, Macy takes Brooke's car keys and rushes out of the cabin, trying to leave Brooke behind, which is basically the _opposite_ of what Macy is doing at the end of this episode when she prevents Brooke from leaving. We don't really believe that Macy is sincere in her thr e at s - but we _do_ believe she is sincere in what she is saying _about Brooke,_ and about the future. That part of the scene rings true, and that's where Macy is at her most convincing.
By the way, when given a chance, BE acts circIes around the "star" KKL. Just compare this scene with the last Brooke/Macy scene at Brooke's house. Macy's mood and behavior are completely transformed, while Brooke is being played in the _exact same way_ in both scenes. Maybe this is the reason why Eakes was kept hidden away in the B storyline for all these years.
Bell didn’t want his girl upstaged in the acting category. She was already upstaged in the beauty dept.
This is the first real and proper interaction between Macy and Brooke since the show began, and we can tell why... As you say BE acts circles around KKL, not to mention looks better, and it would be hard to keep Brooke as centre of the show if she had to keep bucking up against Macy for any reason at all.
Brooke thinks she knows who to push around. Watching Brooke push divorce papers on Macy, reminds me of Brooke of a different era, pregnant by Steph's husband and literally hiding from Steph with Eric doing all the dirty work.

This is why a lot of B&B fans do not like Brooke even til this day. Bobbie Eakes is s incredible actress she played Macy with depth and perseverance I hated when Brad Bell wrote this character off for the second time. SMH

I love how funny Macy is even when she's tearing into Brooke. Always referring to Brooke & Thorne's relationship as just s ex and then this gem at 0:25: "You come up here and track us down like some kind of bounty hunter." 😂
@@NewYorkNick0607 yes, this dark humor in the middIe of serious scenes is something we otherwise usually get from Steph and Sheila (and which is part of what makes them so enjoyable watching). But Macy has it too. It's what I liked about the "but I can... stop you!" line reading too, and all the other times in this scene when Macy mirrors Brooke's lines and changes their meaning ("thats enough!" - "yes, you would think that that _would_ be enough!").

Back in 1995 the writers had Brooke allow Ridge to go to Big Bear so he could make his own decision between she and Taylor. Throughout the years the writers see Brooke angst bring in the ratings. So they upped the antics. Brooke has become to delusional and willfully obtuse it's borderline comical. I don't know why they had her with Thorne or Deacon other than more Brooke angst and ratings. None of them made sense. At this point Taylor has had a whole affair on Ridge but nobody even knows about it. I remember when Thorne and Macy divorced the first time, Stephanie barely cared, now she has a stroke and love Macy so much. It's so absurd.
Strange, in this episode I see the epitome of old Brooke. And it has nothing to do with her relationships with Thorne and Deacon.
She is truly herself , selfish and self-absorbed without any kind of self awareness or empathy .And one right thing in her life as you said, it is not enough to talk about a change in her character. Actually asking Ridge to choose was an out of character behaviour or at least more a manipulation.

So after all the drama surrounding Becky's death, the entire funeral happens off screen? Just shows how she was always more of a plot device than a character.
