It’s a good tutorial, thanks for making it. edit: i don’t really stand by this three years later lol. kids are just as skilled, if not more, than adults. it really depends on experience and practice, and age doesn’t impact skill level at all. just have fun and make some origami, whether you’re 6 years old or 83 years old!
Kids these days lack patience & are lazy. When I was a kid I made paper cranes out of serviettes for each family member for Christmas dinner (SEVEN in total). Cranes are much more complex compared to this little ol' tree, plus serviettes are MUCH thicker than paper & are more difficult to fold.

Nice but there were so small folds on the stem so I didn't make the stem instead in cut the stem part and I will stick an ice cream stick at the bottom

Something that also might help is using around the same size paper it can be replicated with any kind but just a thought
