You have a beautiful voice! But I’d love to hear a version closer to the original lyrics.

    Done being the sad girl
    I'm done dating rock stars
    From now on only actors
    Tall boys in the Raptors
    I'll become an asshole
    Disguised as a bad girl
    In my button-up shirt
    A natural disaster, hey
You could be my baby, baby, baby
You could be my baby boy, they, lady
You could be my baby, baby, maybe, uh-oh
    I'm sorry in advance
I'm only gonna treat you bad
I'm probably gonna let you down
    I'm probably gonna sleep around
    So sorry in advance
Before you take off your pants
I wouldn't let me near your friends
I wouldn't let me near your dad
But don't blame me, blame Brett
Blame my ex, blame my ex, blame my ex
    Don't blame me, blame Brett
Blame my ex, blame my ex, blame my ex
    That's why I won't get vulnerable
    Don't you dare get comfortable
    Heartbreak is impossible
    Feelings doing summersaults
    I'm not ready for therapy
    To take accountability
    Right now it's about me
Me and only 'bout me, hey
You could be my baby, baby, baby
You could be my baby boy, they, lady
You could be my baby, baby, maybe, uh-oh
    I'm sorry in advance
I'm only gonna treat you bad
I'm probably gonna let you down
    I'm probably gonna sleep around
    So sorry in advance
Before you take off your pants
I wouldn't let me near your friends
I wouldn't let me near your dad
But don't blame me, blame Brett
Blame my ex, blame my ex, blame my ex
    Don't blame me, blame Brett
Blame my ex, blame my ex, blame my ex
I'm only in it for the sex
That's why I'm never gonna love again
I'm only in it for the sex
Blame my ex, blame my ex, blame my ex
    Don't blame me, blame Brett
Blame my ex, blame my ex, blame my ex
    Don't blame me, blame Brett
Blame my ex, blame my ex, blame my ex

I love the instrumentation and your vocal work. I for the life of me will never understand why some performers change song lyrics like this though. Makes you seem more concerned with protecting your sexual orientation as a straight person than honoring the song itself that you chose to perform.

yep was thinking exactly this, i remember a song called Dancing On My Own by Robyn being covered by Callum Scott and he changed all the lyrics from female POV to male and it just felt really weird, and then Kings of Leon covered the same song and kept it as it was originally and its so so much better! no need to tamper with the lyrics when they're 99% of what makes a song good in the first place just because its not from your point of view!

I guess the just goes back to art is up to interpretation, I've always enjoyed it no matter which gender does it because it feels like they're really singing about it like its something going on in their life as well not just doing a cover because they like it
