Eminem's face when Ross says 'don't let the hat put you off' is genius! It's nice to see him laugh/smile, he hides it so much of the time and he has such a great sense of humour.
He's been through quite a lot over his life (death of his friend Proof in 2006, musical hiatus, addiction, his troubled childhood and the suicide of his uncle in 1991)
@animall98 It's just sarcasm man. I don't know if you're British, doesn't sound like - but, and I'm not being condescending, just trying to explain it, we use humour I think a lot more than almost every other culture. We're constantly quipping, a lot of dry sarcasm and personal ribbing. So it's just that. It's just funny because of the intent, it's just silliness.
@animall98 I'm not trying to "use big words on you" it's how I naturally fucking speak thanks MATE. I've already explained your question, it's silliness. You're looking for a grassroots motive behind basic, school yard silliness. It's tongue-in-cheek, he's just using the hat as leverage for wit, it's just something to say, it's funny because it's slightly cheeky, a little deprecating, that's IT. If you need somebody to explain that to you, I doubt you'd get the explanation.
@animall98 basically dont read to much into it, i watched it the first time and i laugh, i dont really know why, but i guess its because you usually associate hats and Eminem image as chavy ect. but we all know how talented he is - hope it helps :)
@Freshlinens I really don't haha. I love travelling and learning more, I don't think I would if I was ignorant or in belief that Brits are awesome. many people can be, ignorance is horrible and everywhere, and it's not just us. but yeah, nuff said. I'm done too lol :)
@Freshlinens LOL I love how pissed off you can get over something so little. relax, I meant we used sarcasm to such a regular extent that it's almost considered ours. we use it way more than other countries. supposed 'arrogance' vs hotheaded - arrogance wins. at least i'm not having a hissy fit at this present moment in time ;)
@Freshlinens Yawn. And yes it is mainly an intelligence issue but that doesn't mean the cultural point is unwarranted or holds no weight, as it does. Different cultures do use humour and ideas differently to the point that certain realms of expression are alien to each other. We're all human but self-deprecation and constantly swiping each other IS more commonplace and known to be amongst British people. And it's highlighted when a Brit presents something in US and they think it's cruel.
@animall98 yeah hes messin with em, saying "dont let the hat put you off" like the hat looks silly on him, like em has great talent but "dont let the hat put you off" like its a friendly insult about the hat, like he looks stupid wearing it, but hes only joking, and hey it made em laugh so he got it

@Freshlinens well... Sarcasm was invented by us Brits, thanks very much for that acknowledgement :)
