That was one the best ones you guys have done. Had such a riot last night with the one eyed comment from Richard. Mike was fantastic Please bring him on more lol.
Couldn't stick around and watch the whole thing, my allergies were kicking my head in, but Mike was a brilliant addition with his poo talk as well as talking like the most refined gentleman talking about poo.
Hey no joke Gerard Butlers latest "Greenland" was really good for that genre! Great acting by Gerard and Morena Baccarin, intense and I got a little emo at some parts. Worth checking out for sure.
And actually the little known TSR board game of Escape From New York is a lot of fun and captures the spirit of the movie really well. Especially with 4 people each trying to outdo each other.
55:35 Was it an audio glitch? Was it the Casey? Either way it doesn't matter; as that unique sound made me spit my coffee over my computer screen. I would recommend backtracking 20 seconds to really feel the sound in context.
Great job again guys. Love Richard and Duncan every time. It would be interesting to see you guys do something like Tron or some of the Star Trek films (good Trek not the new crap) since they are actually coming out on 4K in a few months, finally. Great film. Especially on such a low budget. Saw it when it first came out with my brother and the tension near the end was fantastic. From 76' or so up to 88' Carpenter was one of the best directors out there. Sadly he fell off the rails after In The Mouth Of Madnesses and Escape From L.A is really, really terrible. It's so bad especially since it's just a rehash but with really bad humor and bad effects. The only thing good about it is the ending otherwise it feels like a parody of the first film which just doesn't work. But Carpenter was one of the best and not many can say that. Great soundtrack that really elevated the film above its low budget origins. And of course it was Kurt Russell's big break and Carpenter really stood up for him and pushed to get him in the film. And of course he was the basis for Metal Gear Solid's Solid Snake.
I forgot to mention this but the look on Donald Pleasence face when he plays the tape at the end of the film is f**king priceless lol
What a trio! 👍👍👍

It's not quite the action film, that your brain thinks it remembers.
Later with Jools Gollum
