Pistachio - Pistacia vera
"Pistachio, or Pistacia vera in Latin, is a tree species that is a member of the Anacardiaceae family, originating from Iran and Afghanistan, and whose seeds are both delicious and valuable. It is related to sumac, cashew, terebinth and mango. According to archaeological findings, it was used by humans 8000 years ago. It is known that the oldest findings about pistachio consumption in the world were found in Uzbekistan. It is believed that pistachios were brought to the south of Europe and the north of Africa during the Roman Empire.
