You just settled a healthy debate amongst my friends. Thank you!🙏🏼
I like that you used cities in NC
When being a geek is just so darn cool. Thanks for clearing that up. Kudos.
Thanks for clearing this up. Great video!
Id love to see one about how the jet stream works? How it moves storms? And how does the stream itself moves?
It is called the jet stream right? Lol
Since im moving to OK and all id love to see that.
Your channel deserves more ❤️❤️❤️
Literally Rimini sc had 30 percent chance of rain and 9 mph wind called for about 3 weeks or so ago. Well it seriously stormed so bad my boat almost sank with wind and rain. Wind over 20 mph (called for 9 mph gusts). Then a week later says 60 percent rain with heavy thunderstorms and there was barely a drop of rain and minimal thunderstorms if any. Meteorologist being so far off can put people in danger or ruin a perfectly good day. When you work 60 plus hhrs a week and have one day off a week it would be nice to at least be close. I know you can't be exact in this profession but damnnnnn it would be nice if someone doesn't know just say that shit instead of lying
I'm starting to like your content. Looking forward for your future videos. New subscriber here.
Oh and another topic would be how do meteorologists predict how mucb rainfall we will get? Some weather apps tell me like its going to rain 0.50" how do they get that number?
They infer based off of what all the short term models are showing. But rainfal amounts is one of the hardest things to forecast because one area can see a heavy dounpour and down a mile away they can only see light rain.
So how do they get their confidence number?
Instead of doing probability they should just focus on the timeline of precip since most of the times it doesnt not rain the whole day.
Convection really screws shit up.
umm do umm 80 percent
