- Research Scientist Tetsuto Miyashita, Ph.D., talks about Tiktaalik roseae, the limbed fish that lived 375 million years ago. It's part of the collection of more than 5000 fossils that the Canadian Museum of Nature curates on behalf of the Government of Nunavut.
In this video, Miyashita is joined by Neil Shubin, Ph.D., author of Your Inner Fish, and Tom Stewart, Ph.D., who have published new findings about Tiktaalik. See how CT scans helped reveal how fins evolved into limbs.
The video is part of a multi-episode virtual open-house series.
