I got the BEST HID HEADLIGHTS FOR MY XUV300 from Poona Motors. These are called FE RETROFIT ZV VISION PLUS (with pro canbus and quick start). This costs Rs.12,500/-. I have used these lights in my bikes aswell and they have been working fine from the past 5 years WITHOUT FAIL. These lights come with ONE YEAR WARRANTY.
The installation process is very easy. NO WIRE CUTTING NEEDED. Company warranty of the vehicle STAYS INTACT.

HID is past tense. LEDs are more efficient and produce more light.
Yes. You are right! But please watch the video to find the reasons why HIDs still outshines the LEDs 😀
@@Infoclone I am using Philips hids in my car and cree xhp70 in my motorcycle. I observed the following pros and cons in HIDs and LEDs over the years:-
Pros of HIDs
The quality of light is excellent. The light is clear, very soft and eye friendly. The hids i have is 6000k as claimed. But practically light looks like 5500k.
During rain and fog I can see better in HIDs. So safety wise they are good too.
Durability: I fitted them in 2009. No issues till date. God knows what is their life.
Cons:-
The weight : The ballast is too heavy. Later lighter ballasts came. But I heard (can not confirm) that later generation ballasts are not that durable.
Power consumption: The lights take more amp than similar wattage in leds and even in conventional bulbs. So the application is more suited for cars which have larger batteries than bikes
If the headlight set up is of separate low and high beam bulbs then the cold hids won't work in case of high beam, because of lag in case you are using low beams only at that moment.
LEDs :-
As obvious from above all opposit characters are good for leds. Leds are lighter, less heavy on batteries. The difference is more noticable in case of projector set up. LEDs are thus more suitable for motorcycles here in india But quality of light is superior in HIDs for sure

is there any rattling noise from dashboard?
because i have came across many posts related to this issue particularly..
service centre guys open the whole dashboard and do tappings over all the metal clamps which holds the dashboard to avoid that sound.

Yes I did experience some rattling noise after my 3000 kms road trip but that was because I encountered really bad broken tarmac where in I was maintaining speeds over 60kmph just to cover distance quickly. The noise might be coming from the roof lining since I pulled the driving side sun visor in a hurry which made the roof lining little loose. (This issue was fixed in 2nd service by sticking the roof lining with bostick glue) but I am still getting some rattling now BUT ON VERY VERY BAD ROADS.

Can you help to answer on below
1. Did you purchase (H4 : Z VISION PLUS HID KIT) from FE retrofit website ? there is 2 options (Fast Bright and Pro canbus ) which option to select and buy
2. Currently my car is fitted with Reflector housing(halogen bulb) can i just change the bulb to this FE ?
3. Will there be any issue on the incoming traffic with these bright lights ?
1. I got the pro canbus one...the expensive one I guess. I got it from one of its official dealers in Pune who is listed on their website.
2. Yes. Direct plug n play fit. But these bulb comes with canbus and controllers which needs to be installed aswell. Changing just the bulb wont do.
3. Yes it does glare on the oncoming traffic and I am facing that problem because the installer cudnt adjsut it properly. Tried many other local shops and even in Mahindra...they cudnt adjust it properly....hence thinking of driving down to Bangalore to one of its official installer called Light Xperts who are pro in adjusting the beams. If set at a proper height...its dont pose any prob to the oncoming traffic.

Yes I did. Drove down to Bangalore and got the light adjusted. It solved the problem to some extent.
But later I switched to projector setup.
Opened the entire headlight casing and installed projectors inside it.

True that. And it faded further with time. Will be installing a brand new projector HID kit soon.

Bro in one of your videos you spoke about the rear view mirror making noise when Xuv goes on rough road. Were you able to fix it? I have the same vehicle and the mirror gives some vibrating noise when on rough roads.
Yes bhai. So the IRVM has a sliding mechanism. Try to slide it out by pulling/pushing it back and forth. What I did was I stuffed some newspaper/plastic wrapper pieces inside that clamp and slided it back in position....that helped fill in the gap between the glass and the IRVM and the noise went away after that. 🙂

Mine is an after market android system bhai. It works flawlessly.

I recommend not to use HID in reflector, it's very dangerous for other drivers. High chances for accident. Oonw should think about other drivers too.

Couldn't get it adjusted properly anywhere in Pune and didn't get time for a road trip to Bengaluru.🙈
Brother Try Zimmer HID
Installation of HID in Reflector is not advisable. It has to be installed in Projector. Otherwise the light gets awry in the reflector.
In your video you can see that the high beam is almost useless. You are not able to see nearly 4-5 feet near the car.
So please I suggest you replace the reflector with Projectors.

I am planning to fit HID in the projectors and LED in the Reflectors.
