    Perfect thank you, explained what the auto adjuster was doing in my Ford Focus Mk 2. (UK Five Stud rear Drum). All done without saying a word. Thank You.

    Thank you for this. Helped me understand what actually makes the adjuster adjust.

    This adjustment is by pressing brake pedal or hand brake while reversing car?

    • @Likajdo
      @Likajdo  4 года назад +4

      No need to revers the car. Adjustment is processed by pressing both brake pedal and hand brake. No matter if the car is moving or parking.
      Exact adjustment time is while releasing the brake.

      NO you idiot. Adjuster works like video author told you above.
      It's the releasing of the shoes moment of time (when you stop braking).
      Doesn't matter what brake (main hydraulic or handbrake). It "clicks" anyway.
      Malfunctions are mostly result of the lack of maintenance (for many years), dirt, dust.
      Brake system is NOT "maintenance free". I will not mention brake fluid change.
      Plus, it is crucial to use original parts, because cheap replacements (self-adjusters), fakes, are not equipped with bi-metallic strip (it prevents from excessive adjusting when drums are hot).

      You have a serious lack of knowledge and skills.
      Tell me which part of my previous comment is "wrong" (because yours is more than 90% bullshit!).
      You "know" nothing about operation of this particular brake system, so better shut up.

      @Příslušník VB So you can not tell what's "wrong" with my comments (technically, about brakes), because you don't know much.
      Don't waste any time (on any other automotive related video), do not comment if you don't know the subject well (you are doing disservice to viewers).

      @@qwertyasdfghjkl9604 An is this adjustment from real car or it is only model ?

    Thanks for sharing, do you have adjust it manually during brake shoes installation?

    • @GrandePunto8V
      @GrandePunto8V Год назад +1

      You don't have to, in theory, but it's a good habit.
      Preset it, help it a bit (to start the "self" adjusting process).

      @@GrandePunto8Vhow should I preset it with new shoes? all in or out?
