When cleaning mouse droppings in the southwest you should always use an N-95 or N-100 mask. The droppings can have the hantavirus which can be deadly.

    • @detoxlady6777

I did that and was getting hanta virus, I felt it. I took an anti viral homeopathic remedy and it stopped it dead in its tracks.

It's very relaxing watching you guys clean up your property while I sit here with dirty dishes in the sink. :) I like that you didn't put music to this, just the sound of nature . . . which, in your area, obviously means the sound of wind. :)

When you get a chain saw, i don't leave fuel in it overnight. It will always start. A backup lead battery with a panel and 12 volt lights could charge things and run a, 12 volt chest freezer, which you could occasionally tote. Its also good to have a radio and CB radio.

Can you legally have a Fire Pit? If so, putting one on the leeward side of your house would be a great place to hang out and burn cardboard and scrap lumber and such (if you don't want potential pollution in your woodstove) and just for fires outside in general. Good use of that big firewood you don't need to cut.

Hey Nice Work!, you need to leave the hood of your vehicles open when parked, at least a few inches, hook a rubber cord to keep the wind from blowing it too far open. leaving the hood closed will invite rodents to move in, won't take long for damage to happen.

Packrats like that are harmless, I've caught one with my bare hands and they don't bite. But don't grab the tail to catch them; a shocking thing happens where the skin on their tail just slides right off, leaving a bony fleshy appendage and your left with the furry tail skin in your hand.

FYI, mint (plants or crushed) repels rats, so do moth balls. Boric acid kills roaches, carpenter ants, termites and spiders. Just leave it out, and they take it home and kill their families. Carpenter ants need repeated applications, but I've seen it work on a crosstie that they had eaten half through. Good luck. You've done an awesome job.
