As a bisex male I usually have to label myself gay at lgt events. I dropped the B because us people aren't represented. Especially us males. I don't feel accepted anywhere, only tolerated at best.
I'm part of the LGBTQ community (I'm a lesbian) and sometimes I feel the community is a bit of a joke! Bisexual people should not be made to feel like outcasts within the community. I hope one day you will not have to hide what you really are as there is nothing wrong with being bisexual
@@amandacogger3075 Well it is what it is. Bi people aren't evolving the gay community is just as prejudiced as the conservative Republicans. It's a Joke GANG Mentality!
Fellow bi male here, and I feel you so much. I love you man, and you deserve to be who you are and to be proud of it. I hope it may change, but at least remember that there are more of us and we're all perfect 👉👉
@@erikarolinenorheim1640 thanks. I also came out as bi-gender to a few of my close friends. The issue (I guess) is feeling welcome and part of the community but at least I have a few close friends I can confide and be girly with. 👗 👗
“Thanks, but I’m not really into girls” is the closeted Bi anthem. I missed out on actually dating in high school because of it, lmao. Denial ain’t just a river in Egypt.
Sø true. I feel ya girl. People take our own personal Shiz so personally to themselves. Like it has nothing to do with you!!!! I'm bi/pan. People oddly acted the same way when I thought about changing my name.
For me personally I actually am attracted to less people than most straight or gay people. It's a small percentage of the population that are both male and female (and nonbinary)
I remember so vividly the moment someone threw a bottle at my head during a pride Event screaming at me that i was a sorry bihet and i should go Home. Ever since then i've been avoiding lgbt+ spaces and events. My chances of ever having a girlfriend Go against Zero because of it. I'm currently thinking about dropping the Label and telling people i'm straight even though it makes me sad. I'm Just exhausted and i feel alone
Love seeing this kind of thing. I hate having to deal with this issue every day and I’m ashamed that from time to time I still end up randomly lying about who I am. There’s still so little acceptance from others in the LGBTQ community and straight folks alike. Why can’t we just love who we love even if it’s more than one type of person?
I think as teenagers while we were figuring ourselves out, trying to get the courage to tell our friends and families about our sexuality and once we did. Bi-curious/straight girls preyed on us. We were their experiments and then we got our hearts broken when we learned they just wanted a cheeky kiss or a "fun night" and the next day they went back to their boyfriends and looked at us like we were obsessed with them whenever we brought up the discussion of "what happened." Because of that experience once we were a little more comfortable in our skins any bisexual woman who came anywhere near us reminded us of those horrible predatory straight girls who ditched us along with our friendships the very morning after. So basically if you are even remotely attracted to the opposite sex you are put in a box straight away. you either just want a "threesome", you just want a "fun night" or to "flirt a little." I am bisexual and this happened to me too. The amount if straight girls who tried to jump my bones was off the charts but thats all they wanted from me and it hurt. It really did and i even lost my best friend because after she kissed me i wanted to talk about it and she told everyone in school that i was stalking her. But apparently my experiences as a bisexual woman dodsnt matter becaue everybody has already made their minds up about what a bisexual woman is. As soon as I tell someone that I am bi. People assumes I have a boyfriend and looking for a lesbian to join us or I'm trying to date two people at once, or I'm going to run back to a man as soon as things get hard. This could not be further from the truth. So please let's stop the biphobia and please stop trying to take the ' 'B' out of LGBTQ+ thank you!
If you're bi, you're bi, no need to box yourself into either straight or gay because they seem like more 'stable' identities, trust me I've tried and it doesn't work lol.
